Al-Sudani meets the Iranian ambassador to Iraq

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received, this evening, Tuesday, the Ambassador of the Iranian Republic to Iraq, Mr. Muhammad Kazem Al Sadeq.  

 

A statement by Al-Sudani’s office, of which “NAS” received a copy, stated (August 15, 2023), that “the meeting witnessed discussions on strengthening joint cooperation, developing exchange between the two neighboring countries in various fields, and joint coordination regarding the visit to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). ), and facilitating the promotion of visitors to Karbala.”  

  

The Prime Minister affirmed Iraq's firm approach that calls for partnership and coordination between the countries of the region and the development of economic integration, in a way that enhances security, stability and sustainable development, according to the statement.  

  

He added, "For his part, the Iranian ambassador conveyed the Iranian leadership's assurances of its desire to expand bilateral cooperation and support communication, as well as facing challenges and crises in the region and the world."

Shafaq News/ The Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, informed, on Tuesday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, of the Iranian leadership's desire to expand cooperation with Iraq in facing the challenges and crises in the region and the world.

 

A statement from Al-Sudani's office received by Shafaq News agency stated, "The meeting discussed strengthening joint cooperation, developing exchange between the two neighboring countries in various fields, and joint coordination regarding the visit to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and facilitating the promotion of visitors to Karbala." .

Shafaq News/ Iran's ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, described the recent moves of the Americans in the region as "disturbing and against peace and stability in the region."

 

This came during his meeting with the Japanese ambassador to Iraq, Futoshi Matsumoto, according to what was published today, Friday, by official Iranian media.

 

And those means stated that, in this meeting, the ambassadors of Iran and Japan in Iraq, while reviewing the latest regional and international developments, welcomed the increasing regional role of Iraq.
