REMEMBER, no one really  knows what will happen, or when.  They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... :twothumbs: RON

Mnt Goat ...The issues of the recent past contention about the budget was all centered around the amount of oil proceeds that would go to Kurdistan. This being now resolved, they now are faced with another issue of the debt ceiling. So, the cuts begin. This is what they are working on now... they are now telling us the budget law will be ready for voting during the next two weeks, and it will be included on the parliament’s agenda in the third week of this month of May.

Added @ 9:33 AM CDT:

Frank26   [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] FIREFLY:  CBI governor spoke about the street rate.  He said it is unreal - do not believe in it and that bank covers the official rate of 1320.  He spoke a lot about the parallel rate.  He spoke a lot about this but...we were left confused on exactly what he was trying to say to us.

This makes no sense, why would he say it's unreal when it's obviously the de-facto rate in Iraq, not the CBI rate; because the people are ignoring it except where they can't based on imposed requirements. NO Wonder everyone is CONFUSED...!!! RON

:tiphat:Come on Gov. Al-Allaq, just DO IT..!

Has the HCL been resolved? Was I asleep and missed that 🤷‍♂️

There was an article the other day the HCL has been resolved, then Maliki objected over concerns Basra interests was not being addressed.  Haven't heard of any updates since.

Here's an article that backs up the above...Maliki is trying to stop all progress being made...

Tlm724 Administrator Bondlady’s Corner:   Parliament Hosts The Minister Of Oil Regarding The Agreement Between Baghdad And Erbil.

ARTICLE:  The Oil, Gas & Natural Resources Committee announced, on Sunday, that it would host Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani regarding the agreement between Baghdad & Erbil on unifying exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan.   The committee said, in a statement that a news agency received a copy of, that “the Oil, Gas & Natural Resources Committee, headed by Representative Haibat al-Halbousi, hosted, in the presence of the members, Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani, the Undersecretary of the Oil Minister for Distribution Affairs & a number of general managers, to discuss supporting the ministry’s allocations within the 2023 budget.”
