REMEMBER, no one really  knows what will happen, or when.  They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ...   RON 

 

 

yada   The parallel rate...is the rate that the street operated at. For a long time, the street rate charged higher rates for dollars that were purchased by dinar. The CBI rate is the official rate and there was a variance between the two.  Since the official currency in Iraq is now the dollar [dinar ?] and illegal to use dollars, the street vendors are forced to play fair or use the same rate as the CBI...the parallel rate is flattened in Kurdistan whom always operated at a higher standard than Baghdad. Now the rate will go international and that is what we've been waiting for.

MarkZ   It's interesting on the rate…. I am hearing from some contractors in Iraq that they were able to complete some deals today at $1.60...There is a tremendous amount of chatter from contractors involved in Iraq today. We had reports from contractors that we feel very confident about that said they actually did receive those dollars.

Who knows. The way our government is operating the dollar could take a severe beating against all currencies. We shall find out in due time.

It’s already taking a beating. Our loosing the status of being the world’s reserve currency is quickly taking place right in front of our eyes. Our current creepy Biden administration is doing nothing to protect us.in fact they are in on it. They want digital one world money. No more cash which will destroy our freedoms.

Freedom, that’s an interesting idea here in America today. I don’t believe this country stands for freedom anymore, it has become to polarized. Freedom involves compromise and our two party system does not seem to be able to compromise.
