Al-Sunna Al-Mashhadani: Parliament cannot resume without my permission
  
{Politics: Al Furat News} The head of the age, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, commented, on Sunday, about the resumption of the parliament session.
 

Al-Shamdani said in an audio recording, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Furat News, that: "I am still the president of the age, and I have ordered the session to be adjourned, and it cannot be resumed except with my permission."

The start of the counting and sorting process for selecting the Speaker of Parliament in its fifth session {continuous update}
  
{Politics: Al-Furat News} The Secretary-General of the House of Representatives called on the second reserve senior, Khaled Al-Daraji, to take over the session administration after Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani was exposed to a health problem and was subsequently transferred to the hospital.
 

A parliamentary source told Al-Furat News that: "President of the age, Khaled Al-Daraji, is currently chairing the session."

He added that "the session was held in the presence of 205 deputies," referring to "the announcement of the two candidates for the presidency of the council, Muhammad Rikan al-Halbousi and Mahmoud al-Mashhadani."

The source pointed out that "the voting procedures began to choose one of the candidates for the presidency of the Council after the distribution of secret ballot papers to vote on the candidate for the presidency of the parliament."

And between "the coordinating framework's deputies and Ishraqa Kanon left the session hall."

The source noted that "the voting procedures for selecting the president of the council have ended."

... I will resume the session of the House of Representatives while recovering my health .... The session is supposed to continue and not be adjourned because I was forcibly prevented from its administration.

Today, Sunday, members of the House of Representatives completed the procedures for voting to choose the Speaker of the House.

Alsumaria correspondent said that the counting and sorting process has now begun to select the Speaker of the House of Representatives in its fifth session.

And the Iraqi parliament began, earlier today, the first parliamentary session in the fifth session.

Today, Sunday, the Iraqi Council of Representatives, in its fifth session, elected Muhammad Rikan Al-Halbousi as its speaker, for a second consecutive session.

The final results of the voting showed that Al-Halbousi won with 200 votes, compared to 14 votes for his opponent, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, while 14 cards were invalid.

And the Iraqi parliament began, earlier today, the first parliamentary session in the fifth session.

Al-Halbousi won by a large margin over his rival in the coalition of determination, President Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, to be the first speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to win two consecutive terms after 2003.

{Politics: Al Furat News} The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan announced, on Sunday, the strengthening of Barham Salih's position in the presidency after Muhammad al-Halbousi won a second term as speaker of parliament.
 

A member of the Federation, Sherwan Mirza, told Al-Furat News, "The vote for a second term for Al-Halbousi will help, support and strengthen the position of the Federation in re-nominating Barham Salih for a second presidential term."

Al-Halbousi won by a large margin over his rival in the coalition of determination, President Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, to be the first speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to win two consecutive terms after 2003.
