Republican Senator and former US presidential candidate Ron Paul said that US President Donald Trump must fulfill his promise and withdraw from Iraq, as the Iraqi prime minister promised during his meeting in Washington.

"One of the major obstacles to finally leaving Iraq is President Trump's de facto war minister, Mike Pompeo, although he is supposed to be the top American diplomat in the country," Eurasia News quoted Paul as saying .

He added, “Pompeo is like a bull in a Chinese warehouse, as he seems determined to start a war with Iran, China, Russia, Venezuela, and perhaps a few other countries, and unfortunately there is a pattern in this administration where the president announces the withdrawal of troops from one of the seemingly endless conflicts which, An administration official - often Pompeo - explains the president's statement as meaning the opposite of what the president just said.

“When the president was questioned over the weekend about a timetable for the US withdrawal from Iraq , he turned to Pompeo to get an answer. Pompeo's response did not send much hope. Pompeo said, "Once we can finish the job." What is the mission? Does anyone know? Is the mission in Iraq or regime change in Iran? nobody knows".

And he continued, “Trump always declares that he was, unlike previous administrations, kept America out of wars, but how can he achieve this goal if the people who are sought by them to implement that policy not only disagree with him, but seem to be working against him?”

He continued, “The late Director of the National Security Agency, Bill Odom, described the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 as“ the worst strategic disaster in American history. And the destruction of Iraq, the peace and prosperity promised by the neoconservative war advocates.

Instead, the United States brought to Iraq the killing of one million Iraqi citizens, most of them civilians. It devastated Iraq's relatively prosperous economy , and the invasion did not lead to a more peaceful and stable Middle East. The United States had no idea how to reshape Iraqi society, and in choosing who could participate in post-invasion Iraq, while the United States helped facilitate the rise of al-Qaeda and ISIS. General Odom was right, it was a strategic disaster, and the transformation of the United States To a global military empire is also a strategic disaster. Trump's promise to bring troops home from foreign wars sounds very good. But it is time to see some real actions, which means that some people who disagree with the president need to be fired. ”END / 25Z

Withdrawal I always equate with safe sex ... these fools just plain launder, smuggle & steal $$$$.

You’re correct- we don’t budge until we get “ OUR POUND OF FLESH “  ( so to speak ). We should grab’em by the ankles, hang’em upside down and SHAKE  every damn thing outta them .... then watch all the stuff come banging down on the floor.
