Kurdistan Region Vice President Kubad Talabani said on Monday that the reforms being implemented by the Kurdistan Regional Government are radical and not merely slogans.

On Sunday evening, a delegation from the Iraqi government arrived in Arbil, headed by Ali al-Alaq and with the membership of Qassem Attiyah, undersecretary of the Minister of Planning and a representative of the Civil Aviation Authority. 
The visit comes after Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said during the weekly press conference last Tuesday that the employees of the Kurdistan region will receive their salaries, in addition to the airports of Arbil and Sulaymaniyah will resume their international activity, before the holiday of Norouz. 
"We expect the salaries to be released in the next few days. As for the reopening of regional airports to international flights, the agreements so far indicate that this will be on the 20th of this month," Saber said.

The Iraqi government imposed an international air embargo on Erbil and Sulaymaniyah airports on September 29, in response to Kurdistan's holding of the referendum.
