When i was a kid, May 1st was May Day- Used to put a basket of flowers on the front step

of the neighbor lady's house, knock on the door or ring the door bell ( if they had one)

and they had to run and try to catch you. 

 

 Anyone remember?

Yeah! 

One of the wonderful memories the childhood had. It is certainly a matter of great pride and respect. The labor day is definitely a day worth remembering and celebrating.
