The statement did not say if the Iraqi bombing inside Syria will continue in the future, but he said "the Iraqi strikes will remain able to reach all the places they are."

This is the first time that Iraqi aircraft launched missions outside the border since the fall of the former regime in 2003 was made by the Syrian side any comment.

Daesh launched to organize a series of suicide attacks in the east of Mosul and the Iraqi capital, Baghdad recently as Iraqi forces continue to tighten the noose in his stronghold.

Daesh still controlled part of Mosul and towns sprawling located near Kirkuk and the other in Anbar province on the border with Syria.

This statement from the last article could be telling of what is about to happen, "The US military has announced that the Department of Defense developed a plan to cross the borders of Iraq and Syria aimed at eliminating the threat posed by extremist organization."

In a sense, I wish they would just go ahead and do this and then tell everybody later. With ISIS crawling over to Iran to be recharged and then reassigned from Iranian terrorist training camps for deadly terrorist attacks in other parts of the world, I can't help but wonder if the US and other world powers are going to join in and destroy the ISIS and ISIS related terrorist areas in Iran. Why give these vially evil elements a heads up to what is coming? I suspect it is far better to do it now than before Iran has a viable medium or long range missile capable of delivering their future nuclear warheads. Hey, if Saddam was lobbing SCUD missiles to Israel, I suspect the Iranians would want to do far worse to Israel and others who Iran would deem a threat.

IS Withdraws from 23 Villages East of al-Bab

ERBIL — Islamic State (IS) has withdrawn militants from at least 23 villages on the vicinity of al-Bab town, north of Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed.

According to the London-based human rights watchdog, the Syrian regime forces have now swept into some of the villages evacuated by IS. The new gains has created a new contact line between Bashar al-Assad’s forces with the Manbij Military Council, according to the SOHR.

The Middle East Eye previously reported violent clashes taking place between the Turkey-backed rebels and the Syrian Regime forces near al-Bab on Sunday.

Iraqi Forces Retake a Key Bridge in Mosul

The bridge will allow the army to move troops and supplies to west Mosul
27/02/2017 - 22:54

Iraqi Forces Retake a Key Bridge in Mosul
MOSUL — Iraqi forces have managed to reach a key bridge in the city of Mosul as they pushed forward with their offensive to clear the Islamic State (IS) militants from the western half of the city.

The Iraqi forces seized control of the fourth bridge across the Tigris River on Monday which it will be of immense help for the Iraqi troops to move on to the west Mosul. However the Fighting in Mosul has badly damaged the bridge which needs to be repaired to regain access across the river.

Meanwhile, the Federal Police's Rapid Response forces managed to liberate the Josaq district in west Mosul, said the commander of Nineveh operations Abdul-Amir Yarallah.

The commander stated the IS military equipment was inflicted with huge damage.

Western half of Mosul consists of over 35 neighbourhoods which makes up about 40% of the city and an estimated number of 650,000 people are trapped there.

Iraqi forces, backed by coalition air power, launched a new phase of operations on February 19th to reclaim the western half of Mosul which is yet under IS control. Since the beginning of the operations, the Iraqi forces have managed to retake a number of areas including Mosul airport and Ghazlani military camp.

Massive loss for ISIS as Kurdish troops restart operations south of Manbij

27/02/2017
Syrian-Democratic-Forces-technical-696x4

Nine villages were seized from ISIS on Monday as the Kurdish-led ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF) reopened the Manbij front and pushed southwards along the Euphrates River.

With ISIS struggling to hold ground in the region, Kurdish forward units took control over the villages of Jurunli, Mahunah, Haymar al-Jays, Judayat al-Faras, Turaykiyat al-Humr, Qibab Kabir, Qibab Saghir, Sakhanah and Arudah with relative ease just hours after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) also advanced nearby, thus cutting off the frontline territory between ISIS and the Turkish Armed Forces.

A military source informed Al-Masdar News that the SDF and Manbij Military Council are keen to take control of Al-Khafsa – this town has been fortified by ISIS militants after reaching a frontline stalemate in August 2016 following the liberation of Manbij city.

Remarkably, there are credible reports which indicate cooperation between the SDF and SAA; the latter provided artillery support for the advancing Kurdish forces.

The Russian Air Force was also operational in eastern Aleppo tonight, pulverizing a number of Islamic State gun positions.

Earlier today, SDF reinforcements and US military advisors arrived to Manbij. These forces are now spearheading the offensive. A new batch of armored vehicles and technicals were also provided to the SDF.

US sends new batch of armored vehicles to Kurdish forces

27/02/2017
YPG-696x929.jpg
BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:15 P.M.) – The U.S. military has allegedly sent another batch of armored vehicles to the Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) in the Al-Hasakah Governorate, local activists reported on Monday.

Activists released photos this week of recently delivered U.S armored vehicles to the Kurdish forces, who are currently on the offensive against the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization in the northern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate.

The photos showing the arrival of U.S. armored vehicles in the Al-Hasakah countryside still remain unconfirmed, as both parties have not made any official announcement.

Thousands of Kurdish troops arrive from Iraq to spearhead Deir Ezzor offensive

27/02/2017
Kurdish-convoy-696x466.jpg
A Kurdish convoy described as nearly “10 kilometers long” entered the Hasakah governorate on Monday amid a massive build-up for an upcoming Kurdish-led offensive towards Deir Ezzor city, possibly phase 4 of the Euphrates Wrath campaign.

The army reportedly consisted of a mixture of Peshmerga and YPG fighters that had finished operations across the border where the Iraqi Army has won the upper hand.

However, a friend of Al-Masdar News, Wladimir van Wilgenburg, called a spokesperson of the Peshmerga based in Erbil who denied their forces had crossed into Syria.

Nevertheless, hundreds of Kurdish tanks, armored vehicles, technicals and BMP’s travelled through the Al-Malkiyah border crossing, eventually linking up with SDF militants at the main highway in Hasakah earlier today.

According to information obtained by Al-Masdar News reporter Yusha Yuseef, these combined Kurdish forces will join an overwhelming US-backed offensive through the oil-rich desert north of Deir Ezzor.

Should this upcoming offensive go to plan, the predominately Kurdish SDF would lift a three-year long siege imposed by ISIS on the provincial capital of Deir Ezzor where entrenched Syrian government troops have struggled to turn the tides in recent months.

Meanwhile, one report suggested that Kurdish forces had captured Al-Kubar on Sunday; this ISIS-held town is anchored at the Euphrates River in northern Deir Ezzor. The advance could not be independently verified by Al-Masdar News’ military sources.

Elsewhere, south of Manbij, the SDF captured 9 villages from ISIS in rural Aleppo earlier today, coming within striking distance of the Al-Khafsa water pumping station.
