The Laser all by itself runs $379 before tax. I can imagine the 1911 and the silencer runs much more than that. Silencer $918 Silent Hawk 1911 Starts at: $4,295 . Shabibilicious
Why would a law abiding citizen need a silencer? GO RV, then BV 1

new york kevin
Shabbi, what Sgt said. Law Abiding citizens do have the right to self protection. Protection again of themselves, family, property, farm animals , and more. If the unlawful don't start nothing, then there won't be nothing. If such perspectives freighten you, that speaks something about you!

GO RV, then BV That's what background checks are for. You win the draw and before you get the setup there is a background check. Law abiding citizens should not be restricted in anything they want to buy. If you have the money and pay the price why be restricted?
Shabibilicious
That's great then.....just like every gun raffle at every lodge I belong to. My original question was about a silencer, though.......not an admonishment of gun owners. It just seems like a weird option, like curb feelers on a Cadillac. nstoolman1
No admonition intended. I guess my frustration was shining through. In California it would be nice to be treated like other citizens of other states when it comes to firearms. We are treated like 3rd class citizens when it comes to firearms. A handgun roster we can purchase from. 10 day wait period when you already own a firearm. Other states, you walk in, purchase, pass the BG check and walk out. Some states you pay the $200 tax, pay for the suppressor and get your item. If a person has the money and passes the required test or checks there is no reason he/she should not be able to purchase what they want.
