[terryk] Word they are getting is this: everything is done, Allawi is the new pm, rv to be implemented on June 10th…no later than the 15th.

Embassy personnel are being reassigned to the new us embassy in Iraq – scheduled to report by June 15, 2010.

[terryk] now the drive to this is as follows

Can someone explain how China's oil drilling and the RV is tied? I thought they get the percentage in USD.

PART OF THE CHAPTER 7 ISSUE I'M THINKING, CHINA HAS A REALLY BIG CHIP IN THIS GAME AND DEMANDS TO BE HEARD

While someone answers that, maybe they can answer this question as well;

Why does China have any influence on the HCL?

If they don't want to drill at the rates proposed, let someone else drill.

Man I love a good story that is written well and then made into a great movie. You seem to have a great story but I think your movie is going to flop. Just my opinion. Appologies should it come true but looks like your time line is almost over. At the time of this reply it is 11:33 am in Bagdad the 10th of June. Well you still have half a day left. I know ALI and I have talked many times as we live only a phew hours drive from each other, And ALI told me he would exchange for us who want it as we bought from him that HE WOULD EXCHANGE at a rate of 2%. We have a private group who bought a nice sum of Dinars and Dong and we converse every day here in GA & TENN. WE know he is a standup person and are glad to see the board thinks so as well. We all have checked our bills under a Black lite and have confirmed for ourselves they are the real deal.

now lets hope we see Iraq do a Reval that helps value go way up for everyone.

KRG New Authority to Sign Oil & Gas Agreements in Iraqi Kurdistan

Saturday, May 15th 2010 9:33 AM

Sulaimaniyah, May 15 (AKnews) – The head of the previous gas and oil commission in the Iraqi parliament has announced today that the potential gas and oil law will give Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) authority to sign contracts with foreign companies in Kurdistan Region.

“The Iraqi gas and oil law will limit the power of the country’s oil minister, which allows the Kurdistan Region to sign agreement with the foreign companies without restrictions,” Ali H. Balo said.

This law will come into power limiting the authority of the oil minister in Iraq.

Media channels quoted earlier former oil minister Hussein Shahrstani saying: “Kurdistan Region will not have full authority to drill out oil in Kurdistan soil.”

The KRG has authority to mutual agreements with the foreign companies and then the contracts are sent to oil and gas commission in Iraqi parliament.

The oil and gas commission will welcome the Kurdistan Region’s oil agreements and contracts according to the principles of oil agreements in Iraq.

The Kurdistan Region’s oil agreements are permanent source of disputes between the central government of Iraq and KRG.

Maybe there is something to China pressuring the Kurds to help get the government in place and move forward. Without the HCL, the KRG cannot negotiate oil agreements and are at the mercy ot the Iraqi Oil Minister. Just a thought.

I have a hard time believing anything I read from TerryK. His posts are always full of "Tomorrow!" "Immediately!" "Huge rate!". They're also full of other stuff I won't mention. ;)
