I agree to long just sum it up. Some of us have a life ,

So while asking someone to give you the simplified version you attempt to insult others here?  Great job!  However, for future reference normally when someone posts an article of such length they simply highlight (in a different color) what they feel to be important in the article.  Not always, but normally.  Have a great day!

Here's Tlars thoughts on this

Adoption of the Law on the Protection of National products

"Tlar's comments:

"adding that he can not activate Protection Act local product only after the ratification of the customs tariff and to their association with close economic policy "

And they can't activate the customs tariff until they increase the value of the currency

And they can't increase the value of the currency until they figure the debt

and they can't figure the debt until they get a new governor of the CBI

and they can't get a new governor of the CBI until Maliki publically acknowledges he has accepted the resignation of Turki

and Maliki can't do that until he covers all his basis whitewashing himself of all responsibility for the resignation.

etc. etc."

Sorry all, but I agree with Tlar on this. I have felt for over a year now, we'll have to get rid of Maliki to see noticeable change in the currency.

I have to state one exception, if Maliki thinks there's even the slightest chance he'll be able to run for a third term/and/or get elected again...he may RV as a political tool (how fitting...tool).

What I don't understand is if anyone would benefit from an RV, it would be Maliki.  Why would he be fighting to stop it?  However to RD, government agreement and support would be needed.

Zig, I'm totally speculating here, but I'm wondering because M and the CBI are making about 800,000 USD per day off the spread of currency sales/auctions (this is averaged out over a year and the info is at another site which I'm not allowed to pull over here)..but, I would think that if the currency falls under the premises of article 8 (of the IMF guidelines) Iraq may have more regulations and monitoring of what they're doing with the currency, and so M might not be as able to direct these funds as he wishes?  This is just a guess on my part, but I would think Iraq would have to have much more transparency with their currency once they went "international"?

I'd also like to add another caveat..sorry..lol...I think Iraq has to start making payments to the IMF soon and that amount is skyrocketing with interest..another aspect in our favor.

And it just gets weirder.  If it is true the articles of Turki resigning were a deliberate effort by someone to cause confusion and concern of the people of Iraq.  Definitely directed towards Maliki and CBI.
