I have been missing your posts. I always seem to agree with what you are saying and now you are in North Dakota !! I grew up in the oilfields by Tioga. I miss ND so much....even the winters. Well maybe especially the winters. I am a winter person and am not ashamed of it I also have had a feeling, or a God whisper as I call my feelings, that something will happen soon. I hope that it is a RV but honestly I don't know what God has planned but I do have a sense of anticipation that I have not had in 10 years of this. Could be me projecting the feelings that God is giving me to the RV since that is what we have been waiting for but I know something big is about to happen!

Over the line for sure. It's one thing to despise what Obama is for his politics and his actions, quite another to state you would kill him if he was there. And Mr Fossedal was in a federal building when he stated that. I can believe someone turned him in...threatening a President is serious. There were arrests made by the Secret Service for death threats against Bush, there were arrests made for threats made against Clinton. It is a fact that US Presidents get death threats and that the Secret Service will investigate and arrest the person if the threat is felt to be plausible. Mr Fossedal did not temper his threat when questioned by the secret service, he reiterated it. It's one thing to be angry with someone, quite another to threaten the life of said individual.

Just because they did not find the real rapist does not mean that these boys were guilty. My daughter did a report on this case for school.....it was obvious by reading the files and reports that they were profiled and found guilty because they were black and not because of evidence.

Those poor people. The living conditions for most of Iraq is deplorable. Their government officials should be ashamed...they squabble about how to spend the countries wealth but give nothing back to the people. Hmmmm....just like the USA. It's all for pork projects for a few and nothing for the many. And I do not believe in handouts but the Iraqi people should share in the oil wealth by having their infrastructure and living conditions improved. Although it can be hard to improve living conditions when radicals are bombing the country every day.

Zig I agree....I believe that Iraq does not want to follow US "suggestions" as it will make them appear as puppets in the eyes of the middle east. However, if they allow Turkey to influence them, that is acceptable since they are a Muslim country and not a western influence. I hope they get something agreed on quickly. I would love an increase in the dinar without any lop for myself, but would really like to see an agreement and an increase in purchasing power for all the citizens of Iraq who do without so much and survive day to day in intolerable conditions.

The photos and footage of this disaster makes me cry. There was one of a family on the roof of their house trying to get out of the flood but then the winds came. There was not any way that they could hold onto that tin roof. It is a reminder to me that no matter what I am going through, there are others who are struggling to provide the basics, the things I take for granted.

My thoughts exactly. Shouldn't people know who they are voting for and what they stand for. Generally with even that much education, you would find out what race the candidate may be. Lots of voting along race lines and not so much for substance.

That is the Kurdistan region. I am guessing the secular violence is much less there. Wouldn't travel out of my immediate area if I did ever go....but can't say I have the need or desire to visit at this time

They did learn from the masters of "kicking the can down the road". They get as much done as our congress....very very little. And for pretty much the same reasons....they don't know how to compromise and work together.

I have heard that other stores that were limiting the amount that could be purchased while the system was down had very angry riot prone customers who kept yelling that "you don't know how much I have available so you can't limit me". Can you image the mob's and riots at Walmart if they limited the amount they could take? Personal responsibility....that is what is missing from this. If I would have been manager at WalMart I would have simply closed all EBT sales and said until they are up and running, if you do not have an alternate form of payment, you will need to return when they system is working correctly again. I would say that they couldn't get angry over limits but then again I work with the public every day....they get freakin angry over the stupidest things. Why don't the muslims just stop watching them? Pretty easy to do.....turn the channel if someone is doing something you don't like. That way they won't be offended. I love the fact that they include a prayer at the end of every episode.
