All governments are needing cash and the only way to get it is to do things like this. An officer is not out there for safety. They have become a cash cow for the government. I know because I have to deal with it every day. Standard answer is " I don't make the law, I just enforce it". And ignorance of the law is no excuse. This way they don't have to raise taxes.

Many, many moons ago, I lived in Illinois and it is one very stupid state. We were required to register to buy hunting ammo back in the early 70's. Picture card, the whole bit. This does not surprise me. They have all kinds of floating casinos for tax bucks, but Chicago has spilled down to the south. Very sad. And ditto on the Denny's, need to be drunk to go there.

And the people in charge want us to sacrifice? Go figure.

It would be necessary to think beforehand to suggest that, and thinking is very stressful.

My little county has a school resource officer in each school and has for years. They are deputies and are armed and will arrest. And I think most districts in Florida do. I have no problem spending the tax dollars on that. Just common sense.

I certainly hope this does not come about. If it does, this nation will be on a downward spiral and there will be no bringing it back. The nation is changing and not for the better.
