You guys talk like a few thousand dollars was some kind of treasure that must be protected at all cost. It's most middle class earners monthly mortgage payment on a $400k house! It's about 4 months payments on a decent $30k car! It's the rent payment on a 2-3 bedroom apartment in most major cities in North America! I believe all the delays to finally finish the defense minister's post is due to finding a candidate that will work very close with the US military and actually mean it. If the candidate defense minister is sympathetic to Iranian issues, that would be a no go. They need someone that is nuetral to religious desires and has the welfare of all Iraqi's, including Kurds, at heart. Big shoes to fill and I'm not sure they even have a sitting MP like that. Remember, the west crushed Iraqs army. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's have been killed by 20 years of war against us. There probably isn't a family in Iraq that hasn't lost someone. Trying to find a defense MP to work very close with us will be very difficult and obviously is! Coalition goverments always suck at getting things done. Hopefully we won't have to wait for a majority to be born in some future election. That's the beauty of your system in the US. There isn't a possibility of coalitions. I read your link. It seems Skybear and many people still make this mistake concerning the CBI auctions. In his case it seems he hasn't bothered to educate himself even after being called out. It's amazing how everytime Adam opens his mouth, someone quotes him out of context and the rumour mill takes off and viola... more confused investors. A little reading required here folks!

You have taken Adam's post out of context. he was talking about dealers stopping sales because they wouldn't be able to buy dinar from local Iraqi banks anymore. Also, he said an interupted auction. That has never happened and if and when it does, something big would be afoot! I'm doubting the CBI would start an auction knowing the RV was about to happen. The CBI isn't selling dinar. They sell American dollars to local banks for those bank's dinar. The other item the CBI sells is Iraq Treasury Bills (debt buying) to banks, governments and business'. Kuwait did not RV it's dinar. Why this misinformation continues to spread... we'll never know. It RI'd and no I'm not going to explain. Do some reading! By the way, Adam isn't a Guru, he's a business man offering a service. Nice Muskie. We catch them in the Kawartha Lakes and the Rideau River. They get very big here too. A friend of mine is an underwater welder and has seen 6 foot long muskie's in the St. Lawrence River near Cornwall ON (right across from Massena NY). They curiously come around the divers when they're welding on big piers and docks. Amazing fish! By the way, that guy from the UK. A Pike and Muskie are two completely different fish and both taste really good except they're really bony. I usually go bass fishing for fun and throw most of them back. Good practice. We have so many lakes and rivers full of fish, there's no shortage that we have to worry about keeping some to eat.
