I agree with all of you, except to put a know on what it means to drop the three zeros. Yes, they use Turkey as a reference. Yes they may do the rabbit ears or RD. it is possible to simply create an equal lower denom. My feeling is this would be much harder for them to do. Having a large note equal a small note doesn't seem to extend the confidence in trade etc. I could be wrong of course. Yet why all the articles of snapping up the old currency if they simply create an equal value. I'd think having both would mean those with high notes in Iraq would rush to trade in the old for new for simplicity in of itself. I speculate this will be a straight up RV but as some said on a float. They would stand to make a fortune just on trade transactions and the rush toward their currency would be like a feeding frenzy. This is at least what I would hope and also believe. I believe this due to the large capital and oil going out of Iraq. We are small amounts in terms of their daily transactions. They need to keep the confidence in their monetary system up. Their people are hurting due to the current low value. Also as I have indicated... What do they loose by making the currency worth a 1-1? They only gain in every way. No down side for them. The trade becomes even on both sides. They can obviously justify the change. I pray it goes the way I speculate but I am aware of other options.

Hey Keep... B real in saying nobody knows for sure. That is as real as it gets. It could RV, RD, or RI. The beauty or sad part is that high risk is high yield... If it goes how we who believe in big things SPECULATE... You get a lot of Guru points for saying it will. Lol. LOP. I'm not sure what section this would be in but I hope those of you who have seen me here seldom, will understand that I seek knowledge and truth. I had posted a similar post and can't locate it. I have been watching this for over three years now. To some of you that is a short time. This is what I have noticed. Over the course of time the "gurus" have announced the end or RV / RD is near... No, I mean very near! Yet, you can always wait and the time passes and there is a new date set or new reason to believe. My logic dictates that this will be a lucrative investment. Iraq is in a position for growth and potential in spectacular form, but when? We won't know until that time and they are never going to reveal it, period! So here is my other take. The news from gurus is based on spun notions to keep the momentum going. Why? I bet many are dealers. Our frenzy and hopes of-course will be shared and those we share with will share and so on... No bank teller or friend knows a thing. They didn't ring true 3 years ago, they won't today or tomorrow. Eventually Okie will be right... His odds are so bad but one thing he has is time... Eventually it will hit. Then he will say see I told you. Just check out his past record. No, in fact check them all out. There are those of us who challenge one another on terms or rates etc. that is healthy in my book. We discuss politics and ideas and articles and try to decode what is being said. I personally have learned a lot and had fun here with all of that. I respect those who use logic and reality and what they find and express. Yet, for me these gurus are mostly playing us for profit. If I am wrong I am humbled and apologize, but I doubt I am. The change in currency is logically needed and would be an amazing event mostly for Iraq and the Middle East. I certainly wait for this incredible news. Currency dealer gurus who post false hope should be ashamed and I have no empathy or good will for them... I feel selling under false pretense is stealing. Having followed this for some time it has become apparent to me that the " gurus" are mostly the dealers or persons making money off keeping us believing in a soon to be RV. Yet, my logic says that not a single person or article will say a time or rate. This would be attune to a company sharing inside information. The downside is too steep. I believe this day will come but I do not believe the gurus. A few years ago it seemed the more I would believe them the more frustrated this would become. What is worse is trying to convince others this will happen soon, only to be made to sit back and wait.... Basically I was a fool to share unfounded information. This is a speculative investment and each of us can only speculate on the outcome.... Let the truth rein here. Don't believe those who continue to mis-predict. There are no insiders or bank people or those so deeply informed that they would reveal it to us. There are news articles which are meant to throw us off of the time and date. This is my opinion... Call me a guru.... Trust your instinct or intuition or news. Just betting I'm right. Peace and have a good weekend. I too hope for a soon RV.

No doubt about sales low... The rumors have been flying for two weeks! Crazy hard to distinguish between lies and real except if you see guru run... Probably a rumor.

And if they divided that among each US citizen? And how much was made by ammunitions companies in the USA? How much did this make for US companies? Oil etc? How many lives lost of US citizens? Big stakes here and I am. Curious who is pressing the buttons?

Donlop, don't believe every so called fact you read in terms of economics. For Iraq to dispose to everyone the pure truth would be economic suicide. Yet, if you read about development there ask yourself why so many hotels and businesses, let alone banks are scurrying to set up camp in Iraq? We are not in the know... This is what you should be a bit confident about simply by reading the diversity in articles about any subject there. They are doing a great job at throwing us many monkey wrenches. This to me is exciting, because I speculate big things are coming...

Keep is correct. They can RD and there are several different scenarios for a potential outcome. They also desire to stay in good standing in trade. I believe there is a lot involved and of course not a single post which states they know a time date and rate is valid. It's unfortunate that speculation is all we can do. Yet, we should also look at as many facts as possible to conclude a reasonable outcome. Can they straight up RV or RI? Yes... It is a potential outcome if not extremely likely. I have said this before but will revisit this notion for all to think about. If they choose to RV at say 3.00, what happens? Can they reasonably justify this rate? I think so. Yet, again what happens if they do? Do they lose anything in the exchange? This requires some thought on everyone's part... The exchange rate is even! They do not loose anything IF this rate is accepted as reasonable for trade. When the currency is traded back it has the same value on both sides. They already somewhat proved they can back it up. My thinking is they will be lower to make more as a free float carries their currency upward. All is pure speculation on all of us. I continue to hope for the best and quickest change. Peace once again and I look forward to any thoughts in agreement or counter to my own.

And we all thought after out of chapter 7 it will change right away... When you are most uncertain (I.e. now). The end is at hand. They are deliberately throwing us all off. They have no choice but to make it very convoluted and uncertain. We just can't predict the day or time. Yet, I believe they can not afford socioeconomicly to hold off much longer. Nervy, right? I say we send them a bill... In fact a nice one for the lives lost, the money spent, the list is a mile long. This is part of what gives me so much confidence in this investment, due to what is owed! Someone has t put this lady in her place quickly. We are the leaders o replace and democracy. Interesting, what did they say? You do know that outside of Iraq and a few select people this is guarded intel beyond Fort Knox. So, I would tend to not believe (beleive) what most here say is intel. Even I had someone in the know say it would happen and I stand in wait. Hope they are just blowing smoke rather than dancing us all in circles. Well, I hope all the enthusiasm is well pointed, but as we all know we can't trust any news. What they say and do are two different things. Unfortunately we may be waiting a while. I could use this RV big time, however I have learned that there is no immediacy to Iraq. Unfortunately there is a lot of gloating and lies in that political reform. Unfortunately "most" Arab people I have met have a different cultural way of communicating. Working a deal and making things appear one way and it actually being another is what I have experienced. Maybe I was unlucky or again it's cultural... My big wish is that the UN and USA etc... Has a pressure switch to nudge them along. The ride is getting old and the promises tiring too. I pray for us and the poor Iraqi to prosper. Truthfully many American lives have been taken and it is unfortunate that this fact isn't higher reviewed by all. Last year they said in Jan 2013 they will remove the three zeros... Whatever this really means? We wait. Peace all and do something exceptional for others less fortunate when this RVs. All IMHO...

I agree with the last thread... Whatever and whoever is making the moves is so guarded we will never know. It is this way on many fronts and not just Iraq and we are all not even a slight worry or interest in this economic and political role or change. We are just fortunate at how it was all setup. Maybe it was a leak or some smarts by way of those behind bush and Chenny. Yet, to think the USA isn't deeply entrenched and involved and in fact owed is a blind statement at the least. We are involved and ushering this along for some high ups pockets. This is not some small game but a very well calculated long term move with e onomic and political gain by the USA. Yes, IMHO based on so much I have read and believe.

As unpopular as this will sound... How is this different from the last two years of news...? Meaning each time there is some reason this will RV tomorrow or within a week. I have read and believe a lot has been done and we are on a great path to an end. I am sure it will come about that the dinar increase in value and we will do well but I just no longer trust the news. In other words I feel we shouldn't get overly excited so,quickly. Stay grounded and wait. This could take a year. If so that is fine by me if the return is good. I would hate someone to take their last dime in hopes they would be rich in a week or month. I also am sorry if I seem a bit like a downer. I believe we are in a good place but just know that speculation is just that. No one will know a date of an RV or RD until it happens. Hamme55 Thanks for the line about egoic bashing. I think the difference is strictly definition. Lop is loss of profit. When a hyper inflated economy drops the zeros as we often hear about. An RD is a re-denomination... You can lump it all together to mean the same but its like apples and oranges. Both fruits but still different. LOL Even Adam has admitted this difference in wording and definition a while ago but for the sake of the groups most tend to,lump them together. I like to put the so called informed in place when they use terms which show they are not really more informed than the rest. In truth the person who I have always tried to stand up for is the newbie who isn't as understanding of the news he reads from these forums. This has been a long ride for me and truly a great learning experience. I'm not seeking ego at all... Seriously what people think here means little to my world. I try my best to learn and stay real... I hope we all grow from this experience and that we make a nice profit too. This is why it's called a speculative investment... High risk (may mean) High Yield. The truth of how this unfolds is as guarded as Fort Knox or better! Yet, aside from the U.S. involvement and the many quotes from both sides of the fence, I believe that due to the quest of Iraq to keep the value and pay debts they can't afford to RD and or under value the current currency. The trade in of equal value notes to a New currency would be costly in of itself. They desire to be a strong value of international trade. They have also stated at different times that their currency will be the strongest in the M.E. I am not stating that this is what will happen I.e. a straight RV with coexisting new notes but this is possible. This would support a very strong surge in development for Iraq. Years ago it was stated that the change will happen when their is no certainty. We have been holding on to hope of something which could unfold in different scenarios. As it was so many times, do not put a lot of faith in the news. It is meant to throw us and the world at large off course. To make any certainty of a change would hurt Iraq. Like China, we won't know until it happens. In fact they may deny it to the last second or mislead us with conflicting articles. As you can see they are doing this underhanded news with conflicting reports well... They must keep their people with hope and the world at bay. As many have stated, logically they don't seem to have much left from the last years of road blocks left to accomplish for this to finally take place. I know I'm not saying anything most of you don't already know.... Lets just stay calm and pray this concludes soon. No matter how this does unfold we will all do well. This is true just by looking at the oil trade alone... You can also research the many companies setting up in Iraq. There seems little downside economically. Peace...

We have the largest amount of untapped oil in the world. We could drop oil prices very low for our country by tapping a small amount of this oil. The better question is why aren't we? It would bring back our country as the strongest as well as boost our economy. Does anyone remember how low the cost was for gas when Bush let go of some of our reserves? There is so much we don't know... Just My Strong Opinion....
