IE9 has compatibility issues with dinarvets.com and the chat room. Go to "Tools" click on compatibility view settings. At the bottom of the window there is an option to "Display all websites in compatibility view" click on the box and then click "close". Your problems should be solved.

I don't believe you understand VIP. First, you don't give your money to Adam or anyone else. VIP is an opportunity to learn all the pro's and con's of cashing in your dinar through a variety of scenarios. You are simply given information that enables YOU to make the choice on how YOU want to handle your investment. Why would you think you are handing your money over to Adam or anyone other than a bank (which you have to in order to cash in - right)? It doesn't matter if you cash in at the local BofA, Chase, WF, or fly to some foreign destination, at some point in time you have to hand over your dinar in order to get USD. Having all the knowledge gives you the opportunity to find the best path for YOU!

Okay, figured it out - at least for now. This is what you will need to do to access Chat in IE9. Isn't microsoft wonderful Go to Tools. Click on Compatibility View Settings. Enter dinarvets.com in the "Add this website" window. Click "Add" dinarvets.com should show in the block below. Click "Close" You should be able to open a chat window now. It worked for me!

My computer upgraded IE this morning and now Chat is gone. Does anyone know what I need to change in the settings to access chat? I can still access it on my desktop computer with FireFox but my laptop uses IE - anybody else have the same issue?

My comment was not intended for people who are in dire straits but for those that are takers and never seem to consider the cost to someone else. If others took my statement that way, then I am sorry and apologize if it offended you. As I stated, I have been on the internet since 1993 and have had many sites that were free to join. Getting people to support a site by paying a small fee is almost impossible because everyone seems to think someone else will pay so why should I have to contribute my money. I am not some rich who's who. I am a widow living on a low fixed income and do not have excess money either. I also know about being disabled and unable to work. At 69, I have experienced many hard times and have a hands-on knowledge of being in dire straits. My comment was meant for the ones that complain about promotion for the VIP offer. As I stated, common courtesy would be to make "no comment" instead of bashing the post.

I quite agree - hence the reason for spending a mere $50 to protect your future wealth. The VIP forum is full of useful and well documented information including sound advise on reducing your tax exposure (NOT avoidance). Information on things like setting up corporation and trusts that will protect your new found wealth, as well as assistance in seeking the advise of a corporate tax attorney in your area. If you have not joined and seen the information for yourself, don't pre-judge the content. VIP contains no "hype" just factual information.

Sad thing is they are registered on this site "free", can post and reply to threads, and it never occurs to them that someone (Adam) is paying for the hosting, bandwidth, and maintenance of the site. Common courtesy would be to make no comment ("-") or join the VIP group to support the site. There is no additional charge for the information in the VIP section, you do not have to "sign up" for Adam's other offers. The information available to VIP members is worth much more than $50 for 3 months. I have been doing business on the internet since 1993 and it never ceases to amaze me the number of people that want everything for free! If you like DV, then support it so it can remain online (even if that means being silent when someone promotes the VIP offer).

FOX News 5 American Soldiers Killed in Iraq Rocket Attack BAGHDAD – BAGHDAD -- Five American soldiers died Monday when a barrage of rockets slammed into a base in a Shiite neighborhood of Baghdad -- the largest, single-day loss of life for U.S. forces in Iraq in two years. The attack follows warnings from Shiite militants backed by Iran and anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr that they would violently resist any effort to keep American troops in Iraq past their year-end deadline to go home. Although American casualties have dropped considerably in the two years since U.S. troops pulled back from Iraq cities, Shiite militias have begun hammering U.S. bases and vehicles with rockets, rocket-propelled grenades and roadside bombs over the past three months. The militants' goal appears twofold: to give the impression that they are driving the withdrawing U.S. forces out of Iraq, and to make the U.S. think long and hard before agreeing to any Iraqi request to keep a contingent of troops in this country beyond the end of the year. "Iranian-backed militias are flexing their muscles and have steadily increased military pressure on U.S. forces since rumors first started in the early spring concerning an extension of the U.S. presence," said Michael Knights, an Iraq analyst at the Washington Institute. Washington has been pressuring Baghdad to make a decision on whether it wants American forces to stay past Dec. 31 to help with such missions as protecting Iraq's airspace and training Iraqi forces. Although few Iraqis will say this in public, many feel their own security forces are ill-equipped to keep a lid on violence and secure their borders without the assistance of the Americans. Violence around Iraq has dropped dramatically since the insurgency's most deadly years in 2006 and 2007. But eight years into a war often perceived as all but over, the deaths of the five U.S. soldiers and 11 Iraqis killed in other attacks around the country Monday underscore the persistent dangers here. The violence also shows the threat Iranian-backed militias pose to U.S. forces if they stay longer and the potential backlash that Iraqi political leaders face if they support an extension. The U.S. military said the five soldiers died Monday morning at a base in eastern Baghdad that was hit by indirect fire, the military's term for mortars or rockets. Two Iraqi security officials later said three rockets slammed into a joint U.S.-Iraqi base in the Baladiyat neighborhood near the U.S. forces' living quarters. The American troops are partnering with Ministry of Interior forces. The Iraqi officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to reporters. Baladiyat is a Shiite neighborhood that borders Sadr City, a slum in eastern Baghdad that is the stronghold of anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. The Shiite cleric with ties to Iran has made opposition to the U.S. troops a core issue among his followers. Thousands of his militia members, called the Mahdi Army, flooded the streets of Sadr City in a rally two weeks ago. They didn't carry weapons but the threat was clear. Al-Sadr told the BBC he would unleash the Mahdi Army on American forces if they do not withdraw and that his supporters were already targeting U.S. bases and vehicles. Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan, the military's spokesman in Iraq, said attacks on U.S. forces in Baghdad and southern Iraq began to increase in March. In January and February, the U.S. military recorded an average of about three attacks per day. By May, that number jumped to almost six per day. An attack could be anything from a single sniper shot at U.S. troops to a complex attack involving roadside bombs and gunfire. "We're going to continue to defend ourselves and work with the Iraqi security forces," he said. "They're not going to deter us." The five fatalities Monday were the most in a single day since May 11, 2009, when five troops died in a noncombat incident. On April 10, 2009, six U.S. troops died -- five in combat in the northern city of Mosul and one north of Baghdad in a noncombat related incident. According to an Associated Press tally, 4,459 American service members have died in Iraq since the war began in 2003. At the height of the surge of U.S. forces four years ago to combat sectarian violence that nearly tore Iraq apart, there were about 170,000 American troops in the country. The number then was gradually drawn down to below 50,000 when Washington announced it had ended its combat operations 10 months ago. The roughly 46,000 U.S. troops still in the country focus on training and assisting Iraqi security personnel, but are to shun combat. U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has said he thinks the U.S. would agree to stay into next year if Iraq asks. Doing so, however, would break a campaign promise by President Barack Obama. "The U.S. public just does not want to hear about Iraq right now. Iraq is totally off the radar screen right now in Washington," said Marina Ottoway, director of the Middle East Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Eleven people were killed in political violence across Iraq on Monday: -- A bomb exploded at a checkpoint outside a government compound in Tikrit, the hometown of Saddam Hussein. It was the second attack in four days against the compound and the government employees who live and work there. Mohammed al-Asi, a media adviser to the provincial governor, said four people died. -- Gunmen in speeding vehicles attacked two checkpoints in a Sunni neighborhood in northern Baghdad, police and medical officials said. Four people were killed. -- Attackers bombed the house of a police colonel near Ramadi, the capital of the mostly Sunni Anbar province. The colonel survived the attack and was taken to the hospital. His wife, mother and son were all killed. Okay, I'll give it a shot. Step 1. Be sure you have a picture easy to locate on your computer that you wish to use. If it is not a huge file, you don't have to worry about the size because the software on the forum will resize it when you upload. Step 2. Click on the words "Signed in as hoopster" on the left side of your screen. Step 3. On the far right side of the screen click on "Edit My Profile" Step 4. Click on "Change Photo" in the left column. Step 5. Scoll down to "Change Photo" and click on the "Browse" button. This will open a window showing files on your computer. Find the picture you selected and double click on it. Step 6. Click on "Save Changes" Walla.... you have just uploaded a picture for your profile. Basically the same process as uploading your dinar pic.

If you do not have software on your computer that allows you to resize your pics, you can do so free at the following sites. http://resizepic.com/ or http://www.picresize.com/ Both site are free to use, just follow the instructions. You will upload your pic to their site, they will resize and you will download the smaller pic to your computer. You can then upload to DV.

You are welcome caleb08. I work with a lot of people that are new to computers and some of them find everything about them very confusing. When you are just learning how to surf the internet and send and receive email, anything past that point is new territory and has a learning curve. Glad my post helped.

I have noticed quite a number of members are having trouble uploading their dinar pictures and thought I would try to help them out. So, here goes. Step 1. Make sure your "Profile" page at DinarVets is showing on your computer screen. Can you see your picture and/or name at the top? Step 2. Take a few dinars and fan them - hold them up to your computer screen and take a picture with your camera phone. Be sure you do not cover up your name/picture. Step 3. Send that picture to your email address for your home computer or laptop. Step 4. Open your email and save the picture to a easy to remember location on your computer/laptop. If you have picture editing software, reduce the size of the file and make sure it is rotated correctly. Step 5. Now open the thread on DinarVets to upload your dinar picture. Step 6. Type your message in the box, scroll down to Attachments and click on the Browse button. This will open a small window showing data on your computer. Find the picture you saved and double click on it. Step 7. Click "Attach This File" (If you fail to click this button, the picture will not be uploaded.) Step 8. Click on Add Reply and you are done. The decision follows restrictions on hard cash transfers under which Iraqi banks and exchange offices were obliged to declare to the tax authorities the names of individuals transferring more than $10,000 per transaction. The decision had slashed transfers in hard cash from nearly $300 million a day to $3 million. An adviser to the Central Bank, Mudher Mohammed, said the restrictions on transfers had an adverse impact on Iraqi financial markets. “The monetary and financial balance that guided the markets was lost,” he said. The decision to curtail transfers was taken 10 days ago. It demanded that banks and exchange houses provide lists of names of individuals transferring more than $10,000 in one transaction. Yesterday, transfers in hard cash had surged to $80 million following a ruling that scrapped an earlier decision on hard cash transfer restrictions. Banks are now only obliged to declare the names of individuals transferring more than $50,000 per transaction. “The volume of transactions is bound to increase and reach its normal levels, restoring financial and monetary equilibrium to Iraqi markets,” Mohammed said.
