  1. Impressive. I was expecting something more along the lines of this https://www.travelwithachallenge.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Red-Desert-Camel-Train.jpg or this https://i.pinimg.com/736x/d2/eb/26/d2eb266d3e20bc13dad6e2af52ddcadc--on-the-border-camels.jpg
  2. Maybe, but sometimes, combing through the city landfill can uncover real treasures... The Atari video game burial was a mass burial of unsold video game cartridges, consoles, and computers in a New Mexico landfill site, undertaken by American video game and home computer company Atari, Inc. in 1983. Up until 2014, the goods buried were rumored to be unsold copies of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, one of the biggest commercial failures in video gaming and often cited as one of, if not, the worst video game ever released, along with the Atari 2600 port of Pac-Man, which was commercially successful but critically maligned. For the rest of the TRUE story... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_video_game_burial
  3. Too late to announce on Monday. Would have to be announced the moment the market opens... Trading in the forex is not done at one central location but is conducted between participants through electronic communication networks (ECNs) and phone networks in various markets around the world. The market is open 24 hours a day from 5pmEST on Sunday until 4pm EST Friday.
  4. Excuse me... Please leave me, and my bodily functions, out of this. Thank you.
  5. I'll believe that it's done when the Great & Powerful Possum lets us know that the voices have said so...
  6. ***climbs out of the Lopster Pot, dries his feathers, and does a quick flyby with a question*** If a percentage of the oil revenue belongs to all of the people, first and foremost, what percentage? That seems to be the sticking point right now. I think the next big issue, once they figure that out, is to then figure out how to get it to the people. The easiest way is to send out a check once a month, but how many addresses are the same? Mr. Habib Shack over yonder. Somewhere In Iraq. Ok, so the IPS won't work. Next idea...Bank Cards. But then we still have the issue of getting the cards to the people...nope, can't mail them... I guess what I'm saying here is that I see not only a political hurdle to the HCL, but a logistical one as well. For all we know, the percentage part is figured out and the paperwork is tucked away somewhere safe until they figure out the logistical end of it... ***flies back to the Lopster Pot and performs a swan dive***
  7. While we're on the subject of the The Andy Griffith Show, here's one more little bit of trivia that will make you wonder if at least one of the shows writers was unhappily married. Andy. Single. Aunt Bea. Single. Floyd The Barber. Single. And the list goes on like that with the entire cast...until... Otis The Town Drunk. MARRIED...
  8. Somewhere in a parents basement in Iraq, two nerdy teen boys are drinking Mountain Dew, eating Cheeto's, and watching their computer screens... Akbar: Dude, that was a genius idea. Habib: I know. All the Dinar-a-holics are freaking out over my post about the media blackout. Akbar: What should we do next? Maybe post an 800 number? Habib: No, dude. I was thinking that maybe we should post something about a plane landing in Bagdad. Akbar: But what will that do? Habib: My brother, have you not been paying attention? Some of the Dinar-a-holics are following a man who speaks of ships and airplanes. Akbar: Ok.... Habib: So we should post that a plane with no markings, except for a tail number, landed in Bagdad. Akbar: OH!!! I see! So the tail number will make the Dinar-a-holics think that the tail number is RV rate!!!! Habib: Exactly! Now, what should that tail number be...?
  9. I miss the "What's New" button. The "Unread Content" doesn't seem to have the same snappy pizazz. "What's New" sounds exciting, upbeat, wild and crazy, something that we've been waiting excitedly for. "Unread Content" sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry...
  10. Mine likes to tell me to "Turn left in 250 feet.". Ok...so should I park the car and get my Monster truck so I can turn left in 250 feet and drive right up the side of the hill...?
  11. If Warren is buying up Apple stock, that means, in his way of thinking, that Apple stock has bottomed out, and has nowhere to go except up. Apple knows that they need to get into emerging markets. What better way than to "partner up" with Warren? I'm waiting to see if Soros jumps into the Apple cart, or buys up stock in another consumer electronics company...
  12. Before ya'll go telling me how to do it, which I've already done, and it works for their posts in the main threads, I want to know if it can be applied to the preview portion when you first log in and go to the "New/Unread Content". Getting kinda tired of seeing a long list of unread, and the only thing on it in the preview is "thanks" 37 times in a row...
  13. Why must people always complicate EVERYTHING?!?!?!?!?!?!? Simple solution here, people. Rip out ALL public restrooms, and replace them with rows of... There's room for the parent to stand and help their small child. Problem solved...
  14. Just bought a 32 panel system for my house. Love watching that meter spin BACKWARDS!!! You can have an oil-based economy AND solar power for housing. Most homes use natural gas (or propane, if you live in boonies) for heating and cooking. Like I said, I was looking at the simplest way to get electricity to the people of Iraq. Don't ya' just hate it when "simple" gets bogged down by those who prefer "complicated"...?
  15. Ok, so this may be a very simplistic way of looking at this, but... Iraq. Desert. Sun. Lots of sun. Why not start with focusing on installing solar systems on houses and apartments? Yes, I know, a Band-aid on a gunshot wound, but at least the people wouldn't have to wait for mega-watt generators to be installed, and the infrastructure to be upgraded.
  16. Cooking oil? For deep frying things? Like french fries, chicken, and...PARROT?!?!?!?!?!? ***dives to the bottom of the Lopster pot, with his wetsuit and scuba gear***
  17. ***Takes a deep breath and sits on the bottom of the Lopster Tank***
  18. Ok, confession time... I like the Tea Cups because I like to see how fast I can get people to throw up from the speed in which I can get those things spinning...
  19. ***needs to quit gliding along on the thermal vents created by the steam coming from the Lopster pot...***
  20. Iraq doing anything with their currency is a roll of the dice. Nowhere is it written that they must do anything with it. Sure, we all wonder why they would want to continue on this way, but logic seems to elude most of the Middle East, when looked at from a Western perspective. With a lottery ticket, at least you know that at SOME POINT, SOMEONE is going to win. And we all know that nobody will ever find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. I guess I'm just burned out. Never was a fan of roller coasters. Always preferred the Tea Cups at Disneyland. Thank you for letting me vent...
  21. Surely by now Luigi must have enough rubies to make a pair of high heels for the Jolly Green Giants wife... How many more does the guy need...?
