  1. Maggie I know you don't like capitalism, but export costs for oil and liquified natural gas are the costs of doing business and are passed on to the customer purchasing said petrolium products. Duh. This considered, our breakeven point is still at or slightly below $80 ppb while Russia's ppb breakeven is $108 per barrel. That is my point. Flood europe with excess exported oil from the USA and Iraq making the USA and Iraq the supplier of 1/3 of Europes petrolium needs, or greater. Definitively cutting out Russia from having a strangle hold on the western world. Preventing them from grabbing more land and rebuilding the Russian Third Reich. Once the oil is processed its all smooth running and clean. It may not all be the easily tapped sweet grade but it is still smooth running and clean. Regardless of what green peacers say the technology behind plain old modern 21st century oil drilling and fracking is advanced and more environmentally friendly than they want to admit. IE, its not as dirty as they claim. Kinda like global warming is not real either. Else wise who do they blame the end of the last ice age on since mans carbon foot print was then nearly non-exhistent. We here in the USA and western world must absolutely employe the greatest, safest, and cleanest technology as we extract oil and gas to obtain oil independence, removing the specture of influence unfriendly countries would other wise use to keep U.S. under their thumb. Thriver, thanks. Just trying to promote an active discussion. Captl1, you are 100% correct, we should pour more research into the commercial development of inexpensive hydrogen fuel cells as a replacement to fossil fuels.
  2. I understand that the trend of this thread is leaning towards stopping the protection to the DFI funds. How would removing the protection cause Iraq/GOI to RV sooner than later? Since honestly, RV-ing (or whatever you want to call it.) this thing is what most people want to happen.
  3. Wow, great substantial news. Stick this one in the "Another step in the right direction" category. At least someone in the GOI publicly recognizes this fact. Now git-r-done. At least git-r-done by 4/30/14. Wouldn't that be great?
  4. Comparitively speaking there has been a lull of sorts in decent articles on the various websites, even including your #1 site. Could it be? You know. Stuff happening re: the RV? Just grabbing at straws here. So bored I have been checking some rumor section articles, those gurus in there can be brutal in defense of their lack luster articles.
  5. Honest question to some of you people invested in the Dinar: Do you still become excited when reading these BS guru/intel screeds? Haven't you all been duped long enough? When will some of you finally look in the mirror, categorically admit that you have made an honest mistake promoted by human greed and desire, and move on? To be honest, I feel ashamed and sad for those gullible individuals. Countless lives, relationships, and even marriages have been ruined thanks to this RV myth. Shallow. I don't know why the heck you got jumped with so many "negs". Gave you a plus. I agree with you 100% . And I believe in this opportunity as evidenced by being in this investment for 7 plus years. In this to the very end. I may bail if it does not rv by the 15 yr mark for me. Use to be glued to the computer to find every article I could. Then over time I saw which people were accurate and which ones were not. Those who were not accurate were in the "next 2 week crowd" . Everyone in the next 2 week crowd ended up being a guru or a guru's alter ego, stroking their own deceptive articles. I got back into my life. Now I am interested in the political, velosity, and economic workings going on in and around Iraq. When it is dry news article wise, as it has been these past few weeks, I go into the rumor section for yuks and giggles. Its both lauaghible and sad that many others have not yet learned, or remain in denial, regarding articles in this section. I think it will rv, just don't know when.
  6. China is next folks. No US military ships will be allowed in the Taiwan straights. Also as Crimea goes so shall the Balkans and Poland go. GMHO. The only real effective weapon the US has is oil, natural gas, and coal. If we and Iraq flood the European market with all the above fossil fuels we will under cut Russia who's per barrel break even point is anything above $90 per barrel. It was Russias goal to get it to that $108 per barrel point kid yourself not. The US and Iraqs breakeven point is at $80. So we would be fine with any price per barrel between $80 - $89 a barrel. Keep the troops at home. Hit them in the purse, that will break them. Hopefully our President is working to implement such a plan asap, working behind the scenes now so we can start the plan in the absolutely shortest time period possible.
  7. Here is that article from the Iraqi news journal The Exchange Rate: Justifications for exchange-rate adjustment Posted by Iraq News Journal on Mar 15, 2014 | Leave a Comment The Exchange Rate of Foreign Currency in Economic Feasibility Studies Below are the central controls related to the exchange rate of the foreign currency to convert the project inputs and outputs from foreign currency to its equivalent in the local currency, and that is by calculating the net discounted present value standard and the internal return on investments in economic analysis that governs investment projects that costs excess one million dinars. Estimate the shadow price of foreign currency: 1. It is necessary to put central controls to amend the official exchange rate * to reflect the shadow price of the foreign currency, and that is considered one of the necessary requirements to implement the net discounted present value standard and the internal return rate on investment in the economic calculation stated in the instructions, paragraph nine. The central controls for adjusting market prices distinguished a group of outputs and inputs traded internationally, where the projects production or usage of them is reflected on the abundance of foreign currency in the economy and thus project outputs or inputs used of such are considered purely foreign currency outputs or inputs. * What is meant by exchange rate: the number of units of foreign currency, expressed in dollar per one dinar. In particular the following outputs and inputs of foreign currency were distinguished: •Export-outputs. •Outputs marketed locally that substitute imports. •Imported inputs. •Inputs produced locally that usually go to exports. •Foreign labor. According to the pricing rules the value of the output and input (traded) is calculated using export prices (FOB) and import prices (CIF), according to what is listed in the pricing rules. In other words the pricing rules calculate what the project produces from foreign currency (quantity of exports multiplied by the export price (FOB) in foreign currency or the quantity of substitute imports multiplied by the import price (CIF) in foreign currency, as well as what the project uses from foreign currency and imported inputs multiplied by the import price (CIF) in foreign currency …. etc.). In a later step, project outputs and inputs must be converted from the foreign currency to its equivalent in local currency (dinars) by using a specific exchange rate for the foreign currency. 2. Justifications for exchange-rate adjustment: there are a number of important and powerful arguments which support the view that the official exchange rate reduces the real value of foreign currency for purposes of calculating the economic national profitability for investment projects and hence for the purposes of investment planning. It is demonstrated in this context to call for assessing the dinar for less than (3.208) dollar (official exchange rate) when assessing project outputs and inputs of traded goods of exports, substitute imports and imports… etc. The justifications to call for the use of an exchange rate that is lower than the official exchange rate are: •The use of an exchange rate that is lower than the official rate is the appropriate action at the investment planning level to translate the country’s economic strategy aiming at stimulating central investments in the sectors that encourage the development of non-oil exports, as well as sectors that encourage the expansion of domestic production base in order to reduce imports and compensate it with local commodities. This helps to reduce reliance on foreign exchange earnings from crude oil exports and increases the share of non-oil sectors in the local production. •The application of the amended exchange rate on project imported inputs will assist in directing investments away from aggregated sectors dependent on imported inputs and the preference of those sectors that rely on locally produced inputs. •The use of the amended exchange rate helps to correct the balance in favor of the traded goods sectors compared to non-traded goods. •The real exchange rate has declined rapidly since the early seventies, through rapid rise of the level of prices and local costs which led by the steadiness of the official exchange rate to change in prices and actual local rate costs that gave an advantage for imported goods at the expense of locally produced goods, meaning that it led to deterioration of the competitiveness of alternative replacement goods and export commodities. •This action shows that the official exchange rate overestimates the value of the dinar, compared to the foreign currency and from the promoting goods substituting imports and export commodities point of view of. And in support to this view is the state’s utilization and in a broad approach to the customs and quantitative protection policies especially for consumer goods, as well as export subsidies that exports have through an amended export exchange rate. 3. Estimate the amended exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar to be used in technical and economical feasibility studies and for (1.134) dollar per dinar. This price should be approved for 3 years until re-appreciation by the competent authorities. Like the newbie said, based on this article from The Iraqi News, what do you think?
  8. As a Independent, I have to agree with Jeepguy, WTF. Sorry for the cuzzing. The USA will now do what? Flex its muscles and bring down the price per barrel of oil to below Russia's breakeven point but above Iraq's break even point. Get Iraq to unify within itself Kurds and Bagdad wise, security wise. Then start pumping the max amount of oil that the Kurdish/Iraqi oil piplines can handle to the northern Turkish oil port of sometowninturkey. Then ship it to Greece and the rest of Europe to further under cut Russia and it strangle hold on Europe. (Russia supplies 1/3 of Europes oil.)We better get that Canadian to Texas oil pipeline built and fast, bump up our frickin fracking processes and liquifying of natural gas processes and export what the US does not need to Europe, and do that now. Safety measures all in place, but fast and now.Secure our borders. Get all the former USSR countries into NATO and that missle defense program into Poland. I doubt our current government will do so. Our economic and political situation is crap. Our position in the world has slipped so far from its former placement that I feel we need to end the socialist experiment that continues to weakin the USA as we speak. Six years of disasterious results is enough. No more apologizing for the USA and the errors of our past. Lets move on. Lets determine to regain our greatness an a nation. To build upon the foundation that made this rebel country the premier economic capitalistic power house in the world. All while we determine not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Socialism, Communism, Facishism, all make smaller amounts of people richer and richer, while making the middle class disappear, and the lower class expand. At least with capitalism we have a middle class. At least with capitalism lower class people can move out of that neighborhood and into the middle to upper class with focus and hard work. At least we can tweak capitalism to give others an opportunity they would never get otherwise. At least with capitalism we have freedom of speach.
  9. Good to have you back; good to be back: Is there a 3 month option with a discount that the poorest of us can choose. I would like the 6 month plan, shoot for that matter I would like the life time option but I would need a 2 or 4 month payment plan to get them. Sad, but thats the way it is.
  10. Since it has been a little dry on the news front I thought this might be good to re-post here. US-Iraq Business Week Strengthens Ties Posted by Iraq News Journal on Mar 12, 2014 | The United States hosted a top level Iraqi interagency delegation to participate in the March 3-7Iraq Business Week activities in Washington D.C. Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Rowsch Shaways led a 30+ member public and private sector delegation to network with scores of major U.S. firms and explore expanding business opportunities in Iraq, now the United States’ 27th largest goods trading partner. The delegation – which included Iraq’s Minister of Trade and the Chairman of Iraq’s National Investment Commission – addressed trade and investment challenges in Iraq, and discussed external financing options and their potential to assist in Iraq’s development. The trip culminated with a Ministry of Trade delegation visit to Houston, TX to explore establishing a trade facilitation office, and travel by the Deputy Prime Minister to New York City where he met with a number of additional U.S. firms.
  11. Great to have DV back. Well what a revelation and new perspective I got during the downtime. Yet another thing my wife is right about, me spending to much time on this site. But I never told her ya'll was down . What did I do while DV was offline, I accepted a full-time offer as a Hospice LVN. So a BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO PRAYED OR HELD ME UP IN PRAYER to get a full time job. Prayer works, God is good and so is the DV family. Unfortunately I had to go to per diem basis with the home care agency I had a part time job with. The down side there is that I got attached quickly to the patients I was assigned to. Hopefully we will be able to shake some dinar news out of the trees cuz its been fairly dry for news the last month or so. Woo hoo, go RV.
  12. I had to read this article just because of its title name - Camel Wipe. Word. As a new dispenser design may I suggest something along the lines of a travel sized baby wipes container. That way one can easily remove one sheet at a time. They could remind you of those older parochial school size tp sheets. i would laugh my butt off at that one but I am wiping. Squuuwish, glug, glug, glug. Ok now I am ready. LMBO.
  13. I was right there with you until you brought John Kerry into the discussion. Adam, you funny. Thanks for all ya'll do brothers and sisters.
  14. Hey bbemis, your bigotry or unequal application of the law is showing. When you questioned how" Christ-like " it was you should have stated how "organized religious-like" it was ... Christ loves gays, he also said that behavior is not cool by His standards. It was Christ that stated at a time of one man and a harem, that marriage should be between one man and a woman who believe in the same faith. When Christ was scourged, then died on the cross, he did it to pay the penalty for all sinners, which are simply non-believers. When I was born again, I did so high as a kite after coming home from the bars and whatever debauchery I had found to do before I was married. Thank you 700 Club for being the only thing on tv that night. Christ also said, as He did to the woman caught in the act of adultery after she saw the error of her choices, to go forth ( to go live life ) and sin no more. I have grown from my then simple understanding of what it ment to be a Christian, a baby Christian, into that of a mature Christian. This personal traveling or growth is what makes me passionate about the things of Christ and my right to protect it and not accept the label of bigot just because I believe in and promote the things of God. I will stand up against any and all attacks on my Christian rights. See the 1st amendment. My doing so does not equate to a hatred of a different group, it simply is my doing the best I can to live my life according to God's word and to never give one inch towards the return to the persecutions bestowed upon Christians by the Romans; or their modern equivalencies. Thanks DiveDeepSix. Its kinda amazing that the LGBT community cannot approach this subject as adults and recognize that LGBT and Christianity are oil and water; no matter how you try to blend it - it don't mix. Leave it at that. Don't try and sue me into accepting LGBT thinking, or sue shame me into not speaking publicly about Christianity.
  15. This Governor should sue this hairdresser and the salon's owners for every penny they have for for discrimination for her sexual orientation. The courts should force the hairdresser to cut the Governors hair with the same skill they have in the past. No one in the *** community, or supporters of the *** community should object to this either ever anywhere. If they do then they will be absolutely guilty of the same discrimination, civil and criminal laws that the Cake Baker supposedly violated when they refused service to the *** couple that wanted a "unique" cake made for them. If litigation of such matters are good for the goose they are good for the gander. That Baker Case has established a precidence which CAN AND SHOULD BE APPLIED TO THIS CASE. Of course we could leave the courts out of it all, recognize that not everyone feels the same way about many things and respect that difference. If someone does not support what I support when it comes to doing business in a private business then it should be up to the customer to take their business somewhere else. Also, heterosexuality is not a crime, a belief in the traditional nuclear family is not a crime, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and God's teachings in the bible are not a crime
  16. Sir Adam: Here's one for ya. There was a article over the last 2 days or so stating that it was the U.S. government that was holding up the RV cuz they are getting the bucks off of each CBI Auction. Next there is the Ukraine and Russian invasion of the Ukraine, with Putin still claiming there are no Russian troops on Ukranian soil. There appears to be a consensious in the West to hit back with economic weapons. Such as the Reagan weapon of manipulating down the per barrel price of oil. Apparently Russia needs like $90 a barrel to make enough of a profit to pay its bills. Iraq needs somewhere in the area of $85 a barrel I think to make a profit. The Kurds have the soon to be two oil pipelines to the Northern Turkish port of someturkishtown. What are the chances that the west/US will now approve the GOI and the Kurds to finalize their economic arrangements, payments, remittances, in stone, RV the IQD. All inorder to break the Russian strangle hold on Europe via Russia's oil and natural gas. Crash the Russian economy and Ruble. If the west can substitute Iraq supplying 1/3 of their oil verses Russia that could be a win, win for us. What do you think? Can you get this idea to John Kerry?
  17. Thanks Dog. I just don't like bullys or being pushed around by their propoganda. However silky smooth they make it sound. See something say something.
  18. LGD, EE, RVWITHME, and others. Amen. Good thing we got each others backs. Finally a good article to discuss on DV after a week or more of nothing much. This is great news, prayfully this will keep the RV to sometime within 2014. Interesting signal that Bagdad is sending out in the form of Kurdistan getting a even 17% of the funds. Does this mean that the GOI is going forward with that magical number as a benchmark in all future negotiations, budgetwise, or otherwise just as KRG has been trying to get the GOI to agree to when sharing the profits? Just asking. Now lets hope that no one finds a reason to delay this for procedural reasons. Also lets pray that the GOI doesn't decide to unilaterally hold back payments as they have done so manytimes in the recent past.
  19. DS. And thats the problem. I am not anti-*** , though you may think it that way. We are closer in thought on this matter than anyone, you and I, may think. Being Christian is my choice, being *** is someone elses choice. I as a Christian do not support the *** movement and their political agendas, and I do not bash *** either. I simply exercise my Christianity without shame for it, or its 2200 year old teachings. I do not support those that would deny and re-write history to exclude this country's Christian roots. The religious freedoms and tolerence we enjoy were born from Europes emergence from the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church and the Church of England battling for political and economic dominance. All while other Christian movements were taking root like Lutheranism, Amishism, and many others. These rogue people were cut off from being able to buy food, conduct business or even get jobs because they were not a member of the Church of England or The Catholic Church. This is the seed of the American desire for freedom of religion and separation of church and state. I have no desire to give the Christian position preference over anything. What I cannot understand is not giving it the position it should have as a fact of history. To do otherwise would be like denying the black eye of slavery civil rights abuses that have burdened AQmericans of color. African Americans, Native Americans and more. But that does not mean I did any of it. Or that my Christian faith is forever tainted by it. It is a fact of history that all Americans should learn from so that it is never repeated or tolerated again. I am against those who use their sexual preference to impose their beliefs on others. I am against those that would deny a Christian the same right to freedom of expression that they claim is being denied them. What is the ultimate goal, to get the courts to force a re-write of the Bible to include homosexuality as something that God does not see as an abomination? Don't blame me I did not write the book, God did through his Prophets and His Spirit. When that Christian businessman was forced to bake the cake over their personal objections on religious grounds THAT was a loss of rights.
  20. D.S. Answer me this question. When you have two dynamically opposite positions, with support for each position, which bigotry (deophobia or homophobia) is correct, the anti-Christian one or the anti-*** one.
  21. Dinar Stud: Howsit? You just mad at the world aren't you? Calling people all kinds of foul names and assuming wrong thinking about them if they do not agree with you. You should think about opening up that closed mind of yours. Many wrong cultural norms have been promoted in the world based on the Christian Bible. That does not make the Bible wrong, it make those who use it to justify stupidity wrong. We have grown out of much of that type of stinking thinking, since the Civil Rights movement of the 60's . There is much more to do in these endeavors. This bill, which I have not agreed with or dis-agreed with yet, is born out of DEOPHOBIA the fear of God and His word. It is born out of the fact that *** people can go and force a Christian business to do something they conciously object to based on religious grounds. That is no more correct than to force Christians in a *** restaurant to not pray before their meal or to otherwise refuse them service because of their faith. As a *** friend of mine once said Christianity and Homosexuality just do not mix. *** have been aware of this for the past 2000 plus years. It could be worse, former Iranian President Ahmedinijab said there are no gays in Islam, as homosexuality is considered a vile sin, and its offenders are stoned to death. As you told me on another thread, in a most unsympathetic way, if it doesn't workout your way just go somewhere else. Patronize those who allow you to freely express yourself. It is wrong to force yourself on others. When it comes to God He is here to change the world, not to have the world to change Him. Freedom of religious expression is what this country was founded on.
