  2. and 2 years before that and 2 years before that TerryK :lmao:
  3. My brother just got back from 4 weeks in ME...Iraq, Kuwiat, Israel and Egypt. He is in banking industry and said that he's not heard or seen any evidence at any level in any of the afore mentioned countries that Iraq is close to RVing the dinar to any rate, let alone a penny, 86 cents, $1 or $3.22! Everything he has been exposed to says the banking system in Iraq is still in need of massive change....corruption runs rampant and the common citizen uneducated when it comes to banking sophistication such as electronics and world economics. The majority of these poeple have their hands full making it from day to day. Worrying about the future of their currency means when and how will they get their hands on some cash? The majority of people still don't have reliable/consistant basic services, unemployment is very high, the GOI is as corrupt as it comes (my brother copuld not believe how corrupt it actually is) Maliki wants everything his way at any cost, major international contractors are leaving the country because of the corruption and red tape that make a lot of jobs that should be very lucrative, instead a break even proposition at best. My question....In light of everything happening over the past year are your sources still telling you that the RV is emminent, meaning has good chance to take place within next 12 months?
  4. here's more.....Faizullah: Budget 2013 will not see the light of day in 2012 13/11/2012 15:48:30 [-] Text [+] BAGHDAD (Iba) .. 5. here's a current example of what I'm referring to....Deputy for Iraq: important laws will not see the light of day if the current situation remains in the House of Representatives Date: 11/14/2012 14:11:02 Wednesday Baghdad (news) .. According to a member of the of the Iraqi MP / coalition in Iraq / Fares Sunguri, that the laws broken in the House of Representatives will not see the light if stuck political blocs positions towards it. said Sunguri in a statement (of the Agency news) on Wednesday: The laws proposed in the House of Representatives all important and affect the lives of citizens and state-building, such as the Federal Court and the Council of Aqdhae and parties law, oil and gas and others. added: that the differences blocs current to pass laws, not about paragraphs laws before, but interest earned by the warring parties if passed this law. explained Iraqi MP: that the continuation of the current situation in the House of Representatives, means not passing laws, noting that the adoption of laws needed to reduce ceilings demands blocs and mutual trust between them. saw the House of Representatives, political mobility between the government and the Council on the adoption of a law, some of which passed amid objections parliamentary, such as the election of members of the Electoral Commission, other laws are still unused within the Council, such as the infrastructure and a general amnesty and the Federal Court and the parties and the allocation (25%) of oil imports to the people. / end / 7. d. 6. Adam....only $12, not $120...well that makes it even worse. But you really didn't answer my question.....if the GOI thinks the poor can get by on $12 a month, why do you think they are willing to give them much more because of an RV. The $12 indicates they don't want to share the wealth....they are happy to see the poeople struggle just as long as they get theirs. We already know Iraq is one of the top 5 corrupt countries if not the top country based on the oil money pot they have available to steal from. What am I missing that you see or the behind the scenes actions you have access to that I don't that gives you the confidence that that bunch of thieving, power hungry, hate filled controlling factions want to make it better for everyone, not just themeselves and their specific followers?
  7. Adam....Regarding the story stating that the GOI wants to eliminate the ration cards and just give cash to the citizens every month, they were talking about $120 per month is what they would get. My you see a government that believes $120 a month is enough for each citizen, RVing to a rate that would significantly increase the wealth of those same citizens? Seems to me the GOI wants to keep the big money for do you see this? GO GREEN BAY, BUT DON'T KNOW HOW WITH ALL THEIR INJURIES!
  8. :lmao: Obama got nothing to do with the RV, nor does Rockefeller or Rothschild. No RV for at least 2 years, but 10 is looking much more realistic. If you think it is going to RV to any significant amount (say anything over a penny) before Jan 1, your price and it's a bet. Don't make it too hard on yourself, I've won every bet (at least 20) to date regarding RV deadlines that have come and gone.
  9. I agree with a lot of the sentiment here....except the part where he says that if someone other than Maliki were in power, this would be over The country is fraut with corruption, Maliki is by no means the only crook in town. None of those so called leaders of the various 3 parties want to share the wealth with the other 2 parties. They want to keep it all for themselves. Each party is only acting in their own best interest. Unless the united people of Iraq stand up for real change, nothing is going to happen with the dinar. They've got real problems over there, like trying to stay alive from day to day....sharing the wealth with everybody is so far from what the powers to be want, it's not even funny. You want to see the RV.....check back in 10 years, maybe....just maybe they'll be close to pulling the trigger
  10. NOT in 10 christmas's......sorry, but there will be no RV for a long time. Look at the facts..... 1. Maliki power hungry mad....wants to control GOI and CBI. Why would he RV to make the people better off financially. That would mean less control over the population, while he strives for more control every day. 2. Still no completely seated GOI...unbelievable 3. Still no HCL in place.....unbelievable 4. Still under chapter 7 santions.....ridiculous and unbelievable 5. Exxon wants out of Iraq.....why would an oil company want out of one of the biggest oil reserve spots on the planet? 6. None of the 3 parties in Iraq really want to work together.....instead they constantly bicker and hold up any real change policies from being enacted because they are looking out for their own interests, not the good of the country. 7. This new democracy is a joke.....Iraq's people don't know what freedom is, nor do they want to embrace it. They would rather live in the past as it suits their religious nature which is all the powers at large want. Keep the people living in the past so they can't see what the future may bring. Keep the people scared to stand up by using death as the consequence for any individuality or thought that they have rights. Until we see HUGE changes in Iraq....we will not see an RV. Stuff it in a drawer and check back in 10 years for an update. And don't worry, if I'm wrong, Adam will send you a text. But I'm not wrong....IMHO
  11. “6 reasons Obama will come for your guns” If you’ve been putting off buying guns and accessories, now is the time to do it. President Obama is clearly anti-gun and with no more elections to stifle his political will, he may decide to add “serious gun control” to his legacy. If you don’t believe President Obama will come after your guns, here are 6 reasons that suggest he will. 1. President Obama believes Americans want gun control. In a 1998 speech at Loyola University he said, “The vast majority of Americans would like to see serious gun control, it does not pass. Why does it not pass? It doesn’t pass because there is this huge disconnect between what people think and what legislators think and are willing to act upon.” With his last election in the bag, what’s stopping him from adding “serious gun control” to his agenda? 2. Barack Obama said, “I don’t believe people should be able to own guns”. While teaching at the University of Chicago in the 1990s he made this very real statement to John Lott, the famous gun advocate. He went out of his way to tell John Lott his views, because he knew who he was. 3. Barack Obama has stated that gun control was very much on his agenda on March 30, 2012, in a meeting with Sarah Brady, He went on to say “I just want you to know that we are working on it. We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar”. Now that he has won reelection he has no reason to operate “under the radar”. 4. President Obama appointed two anti-gun Supreme Court judges (Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan) and now will probably appoint 1-2 more. Both will vote against the second amendment whenever given the chance. And they’ll be there for decades. 5. The ATF “walked” guns to Mexican drug lords to make it easier to pass new gun regulations. Fast and Furious probably is as bad as it sounds. In 2010 the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms instructed gun dealers near the Mexican border to sell thousands of firearms to arms traffickers working for the drug cartels south of the border – a practice called “gunwalking”. In the past this was done to follow the guns to the drug cartels, but this time there was no such tracking, tracing, following, or attempt to figure out where the guns were going. Why would our government do this? Well, there were internal ATF emails found that show the ATF discussing how to use the Fast and Furious gunwalking to justify new gun regulations. When these guns showed up at crime scenes, they could point to American gun stores and decry that we need new regulation. 6. Barack Obama’s administration is working behind closed doors on a new United Nations Gun Control Treaty. They are working with communist China, formerly communist Russia, and socialist France to pen the treaty. Like Barack Obama, none of those countries believe citizens should be allowed to have firearms. At this point you have two options. The first option is to “hope” we won’t have our gun rights stripped and carry on as usual. The second option is to prepare for the very real possibility and start stocking up. Common forms of gun control are taxes and production freezes – stocking up now will allow you to circumvent both of those measures. Gun control advocates often discuss placing high taxes or fees on gun accessories as a means of gun control. It wouldn’t be too difficult to pass a regulation requiring a $5 per bullet tax or a $50 per holster tax. Stocking up now will avoid the taxes, which probably won’t be retroactive if enacted. Any new laws or regulations banning guns and accessories probably won’t be retroactive either so stocking up now is a good safeguard against future bans. For example, when fully automatic weapons were banned the ones we had were still legal, we just can’t make anymore. In solidarity for our fellow second-amendment supporting citizens, we’re offering a 25% off coupon code to help our cause - just use coupon code “stockup” at checkout. So go buy guns, ammo, and all the accessories. Buy lots of them – I know I am.
  12. BAGHDAD (AP) — An Iraqi court on Thursday unexpectedly convicted the country's fugitive Sunni vice president on charges of instigating bodyguards to assassinate a senior government official and sentenced him to death. The verdict was the second death sentence for Tariq al-Hashemi in less than two months, and is likely to stoke further resentment among Iraq's minority Sunni Muslims against the Shiite-led government How do you "unexpectantly" convict some one????? This country is so badly in need of some real cleansing....problem is the whole region is living in the 10th century. Until they join the rest of the world in 21st century freedoms, nothing will change. I'm beginning to think my 2014 RV prediction is terribly wrong....maybe 2020?
  13. Adam....seems to me there is very little fact based evidence that the RV is going to happen this year. How much stock do you put into the belief that if an RV is going to happen, it will happen around the first of the new year? Happy Halloween.....Go Green Bay.....
  14. I've worked in Iraq, what. The Iraqis have been told many things for many years....and have been disappointed many many times. The Iraqis are no different than us...their politicians tell them whatever they need to tell them so they stay uninformed, complacent and defeated. For everybody who has been in this for years (5 or more) HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE HEARD THE RV WAS EMINENT OR HAS HAPPENED....TOO MANY FOR MY LIKING, WAY TOO MANY! For those of you new comers (less than 5 years) FORGET ABOUT IT. Stick your dinar in the drawer, live your life.....Adam will send you a text when the RV hits, he promises we won't miss it as long as we give him a good phone number! As for this "remove the zeros by the end of 2012" I'll take that bet just like I've taken the last 20 regarding deadlines that have come and gone. Just don't make it too hard on yourself, I haven't lost one of these things yet and it doesn't look like I'll lose this one either....sorry
  15. This is the typical garbage that so many gurus are basing the 'global reset' theory on.....there is NO SUCH THING! Everyone expecting the dinar to jump in value as part of this myth should stop holding your breath, It will kill you. when the dinar revalues, if it will be because it is the the correct action for the government of Iraq to better their trade, improve internal economics and to induce foreign investment. All this crap about global reset and the 'plan' and the rest of the cockeyed conspiracy theories are just fodder for people who like to hear themselves talk and seem important. If you are wanting to know when the RV will hit.....don't look until 2014 or even farther out.
  16. Iraq is as bad as any crime syndicate in the midst of a bloody power couldn't make this stuff up it's so absurd. And most people want to believe that amongst all this chaos, corruption, double dealing, killing and sectarian division,,,,,the GOI is going to RV the dinar so we can all benefit from it. Forget 2014.....this may not happen until 2016?
  17. The only way Mitt can hit your numbers is if he wins Ohio and Florida....and all the polls say this is very very unlikely. I wish it were so, I'm a Republican and think Obama has lied to us, made things much worse for the middle class and I see no light at the end of the tunnel with him as president. However, Mitt was right when he said any Democrat starts out at 47% before any discussions are held.....that's the number of free loaders we have in this country who don't want to give up their something for nothing ideals, they get something (my hard earned tax dollar) for doing nothing (sitting around collecting extended unemployemnt, food stamps, welfare, housing assistances just to name a few). Why do Democrats support giving illegal immigrants an easy path to citizenship? because then they get their vote. Obama got 300 mexican civilians and a few police by arming them with weapons...why is this not in the mainstream news? He wants to take our guns away while he walks around with an army of men armed to the teeth to protect him. I'll give up my guns when every politician who support such legislation give up their guards, armed or not.
  18. :lmao: what polls are you looking at? I'm a Republic and can only hope Mitt could squeeze out a miracle win....your numbers are outrageous....that's outrageously funny.
  19. BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraq abruptly removed the longtime governor of the country's central bank Tuesday after he and other bank officials were targeted in an investigation into alleged financial wrongdoing. The governor, Sinan al-Shabibi, is seen as a politically independent economist who has led the bank since shortly after the U.S.-led invasion. He has not been charged with any crime, and his lawyer insists he is innocent. The allegations, drawn up by a special parliamentary committee established to investigate the bank, could give new ammunition to critics of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki that the Iraqi leader is trying to consolidate control over the country's institutions. Iraq's Cabinet voted Tuesday to temporarily replace al-Shabibi with Abdul-Basit Turki, the head of the Board of Supreme Audit, until the investigation is complete, according to Ali al-Moussawi, a spokesman for the prime minister. Iraq's Integrity Commission, the country's anti-corruption watchdog, is investigating the allegations. "The committee in charge of this ... found shortcomings in the work of the central bank and these findings were sent to the Integrity Commission, which has decided to withdraw power from al-Shabibi," al-Moussawi said. The investigation deals at least in part with alleged irregularities involving the exchange of Iraqi dinars for hard currency, according to al-Moussawi and Haitham al-Jabouri, a lawmaker involved in the probe THIS IS VERY BAD FOR WE WHO HOLD DINAR.....THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PERFECT WAY FOR IRAQ TO NOT HAVE TO HONOR DINAR OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY. I'M SURE WE'LL SEE THE GURUS PUT A POSITIVE SPIN ON THIS.....BUT IT LOOKS VERY NEGATIVE TO ME. I HOPE I'M WRONG?
  20. Do your sources say what is going on with Shabibi and this arrest warrant? Sounds like Maliki is behind this...what do they (or you) think he is trying to accomplish?
  21. The 17th...this Wednesday.... :lmao: Com'on man, how many times we got to be given a date Med is out-a here
  22. When was last time you heard of any Iraqi politician doing anything 'fast'.....if it was a short meeting, it was probably unproductive. At least that;'s what history seems to tell us?
  23. These guys crack me I said, I know who mailman is in the flesh. This guy has no inside contacts of his own...he just plays up what he reads or hears from others, and he usually twists things way out of proportion if not just flat purposely misinterprets stuff. I just talked to 3 people from different business ventures who were in Iraq last week....all this talk of an imminant RV is just a bunch of wishful thinking. And so is this garbage about the US or anyone else getting ready to 'force' the GOI to make decisions or threaten to replace the entire GOI in order to get them to move on the RV is pure fabrication. Iraq and Maliki are doing business as usual, everything is for their benefit, being done at their own pace, all the other parties over there are still playing the same old short, nothing has changed in so far as we should be expecting to see an RV anytime soon. In fact, everything indicates that nothing will happen until early next year (2013) and even that is not saying we'll see an RV then! I'm still holding to my position that we will not see any significant value increase in the dinar until the earliest. JMHO...believe what you want, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. It's time to tuck those dinar in a drawer, get ready for the upcoming holiday season and enjoy your life.
