TPS, I am sorry hon. Thats just not true. (yes, there are some that are totally bent up about Obama winning) Romney was not our answer either. I will agree with Stonewall.....I signed for the same reason. I dont think, or even want secession to happen. But I wrote letters, I encouraged everyone to write letters to their local, state and federal representatives. I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT WROTE LETTERS DANG IT...lol. I am sorry, but I dont think Obama or Romney had good plans. We are stuck in a bad way, so where do we go from here to peacefully send that message. Can I ask you a question?? Do you just kinda hope that the petitions are signed with the needed # of signatures? What happens then? Is there a plan in place?? Does the government bring us all in a room, and just say "UUMMM NO, and all of you are screwed now!" or do they say "why do feel like your state needs to secede?", or will they say "ok, what can we do to fix this? We dont want any state to secede, what can we do otherwise. We now see so many Americans are concerned and in fear, and we have really been out of touch with the people" I love it PG! A whole different point of view with the same ending as what I have been saying....None of these guys are a good choice and yes, they suck at their job. TPS....this is the first time I have agree'd with you. I don't think any states will leave the union. And I wonder what percentage of signers actually believe any states will have a plan to leave. I am willing to bet the percentage is low. I would hope that these petitions will create an opportunity for people to be heard. I often wonder how anyone in our government looks at these situations, like the petitions being signed...think they are laughing everyone off because they are arrogant, or think they are concerned because they actually love this country and have concern for the American citizens. These elections do have many angry...MANY! I think so much of frustration comes from no candidate leads us to a positive hope. People are really on edge because there is no relief, and I think people had hoped thst we would at least be at the beginnings of better times again. Its a scary time all over the world. I hope that those who want to say petition signers are no longer Americans, can at least try to understand, this is not the America it once was. What do you so when government is no longer listening...notice I say government...Republican, Democrate or otherwise.

I really dont care WHO won the election.....I care about the direction of our country with the government at the wheel. This is not about 4 years, or 8 years or GWB, this goes back years and years, and finally its caught up. Let me ask you Dinar "stud"....what would you do, if tomorrow the market finally did crash and we slammed into a depression? Because we are not that far off and thats just the beginning, think of the domino effect after that......would you be ok with the way our government as a whole has done business for years and years, and this is where its gotten the country? This is not whining my dear, this is standing up for a belief (some believe its right, some believe its wrong, everyone is entitled). I am passionate about it, and by no means am I acting like a spoiled 3 year old. I have busted my ass since I was 16 working. Exactly the reason I sighed also DM! I dont think it will really happen, but maybe a huge message will be sent. I posted in another thread, that these petitions are not entered in by our state reps on behalf of the people. I do believe ANYONE can petition. And for anyone worried about signing, that the whitehouse now has your name.....I am sure there are already people set to monitor this for harassment from the government. Wouldn't it throw up a red flag is 70,000 people in Texas (ALL COINCIDENTALLY THAT SIGNED THE SECEDE PETITION) were getting in trouble for nothing?? Besides, I am sure the president gets worse hate mail than a peaceful secede petition lol

I want to say there was something like just over 5,000. What I didnt know, (please someone correct me if I have it wrong) is these petitions are not filed on the behalf of the states but out state governments, but they can be filed by anyone. You and I or anyone that whats to, can file a petition. Like I said, I hope we all get the signatures, but I hope it sends a HUGE message to the Whitehouse, or I am really going to start my website, I will tell you all what it is if it comes to that!! lol

I will say, that I never thought I would see the day that something like this would happen. Of course Hoped it would never happen because I love this country. I hope if anything, that this sends a HUGE message to our government, that there a lot of worried, scared Americans. Something needs to change for the good and better!! I am willing to bet that every person that has signed a petition, does not really want to see this happen, but supports a better change (btw who saw the petition asking to deport everyone that signed a petition??)

I think you are absolutely correct about corruption being the only hold up. Everyone in a position of power, looking for their angle to become obnoxiously rich by schemes!

I seriously doubt anyone, even millionaires will see taxes percentages like what your saying. If they dont want a major uprising, the government will be very careful what they so here! I am dayam sick of their BS!!
