Sounding pretty good. Looks like we are trying to move to some form of a normal life for the people of the liberated areas.

Agree Chuck, the more banks around the more money moves around at street level. The only thing missing is purchasing power. :eyebrows:

The article states, "The press office of the bank, said that ' the bank and in coordination with the concerned authorities prepared to assess the damage plans branches in the province 14 branches guestrooms for the reconstruction and rehabilitation and re - open them quickly and comprehensively after the declaration of liberation is complete and the victory over the terrorist groups'. "

To me, 14 branches does not sound like a lot if it is only 14 physical locations. Iraq (in conjunction with Coalition supply of hardware and equipment) should be able to find reasonably suitable locations to clean up, shore up, and install all the hardware including satellite communications equipment for banking services to the Iraqi citizens in the recently retaken areas from ISIS. Hey, you remember the satellite being furnished by France - did they do that already and/or are other Coalition entities going to provide the necessary satellite communications services possibly temporarily? Also, electricity will likely not be a problem for these locations since portable equipment including portable electric generators can be used to provide banking services to the Iraqi citizens in Mosul.

What's the big hurry? Why would they need to get these branches opened quickly and comprehensively after the "declaration of liberation"? Is Abadi going to make this liberation announcement? Is the terrorist groups limited to ISIS or will it include IMIS and other non Iraqi militias or other Iranian affiliated entities? Is the HCL in place and a means is necessary to shove oil revenues to the Iraqis in these areas for rebuilding purposes? Are the banks planning on immediately lending of funds to these people in the recently liberated areas? Are PTBs in and outside Iraq trying to avert a two or three way split of the country where Kurdistan has further autonomy? Who are the "concerned authorities"?
