Sanctions have not yet been lifted. I believe that I've heard Adam and others state that that is a good thing . . . because the UN will NOT lift Chapter 7 UNTIL IRAQ DOES RV. Adam, perhaps you could weigh in on this.

Two schools of thought here..1. Chap 7 goes away and then RV..2. RV has to happen o lift Chap 7.

No one has clarified which it has to be. I think Chap7 lifts and RV at the same time!!

if i'm not mistaken, there was an article (last week i believe) about iraq wanting out of 7 and there's a meeting on 2/16 w/ the unsc about it. so, iraq is NOT out from under 7...kuwait is in the way i believe...

iraq is biulding a big frieght train by opening up there oil fields ... big oil and banks want in and little kuwait cannot stop the train ... kuwait started the war by drilling under iraq border and stealing oil ... long story ... kuwait been behind keeping iraq under chapter 7 ... it about over and soon we will see chapter 7 lifted

Possum says that they have RV'd and it is 3.24 . Does anybody know if thats really true. I read two other people backed up his information

Been saying this all along... CH 7 not lifted... RV not happin'... the UN stated the next meeting on this subject was going to be in June... if I am not mistaken.... I want the rv as bad as everyone else but can't see it until June... I hope I am wrong....

They won't RV and then lift the sanctions....this has been explained over and over again. They will agree on an RV, and the sanctions will then be lifted, although thay may very well be announced at they same time. IMHO...I believe we will first hear word of an RV and later hear that the CH. 7 sanctions have been removed.
