babyorca
Maliki plans escape via Kuwait in event of public revolution Kuwait, INN- Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki’s visit to Kuwait was to arrange with Kuwaiti officials his family escape from Iraq in case of the break-out of public revolution in the country, said Gulf diplomatic sources in Kuwait. While in Kuwait Maliki sent an immediate message to US President Barak Obama through the US Ambassador in Kuwait asking for an urgent meeting with Obama,, the sources noting that Obama apologized and not only declined the request but also blamed Maliki for not contacting him through the US embassy in Iraq. “The official channel is the US Embassy in Baghdad and not Kuwait,” Obama told Maliki. According to the sources, Maliki didn’t send his message through the US ambassador in Baghdad for fear that his political opponents would know about it. Obama’s response to Maliki indicates that the US administration is in longer siding with Maliki for his failure in meeting the conditions upon which the current Iraqi government was formed. However, when Maliki received Obama’s answer, he said in an angry tone “Is this our reward?”, the sources noted. During the visit, Iraqi premier asked the Kuwaitis to secure his departure with his family from Iraq in case of the eruption of public revolution and the Kuwaitis promised him full support, the sources said. http://bit.ly/fo40Fo

Darin
If this is all true... M is apprently scared of the upcoming events that "may" occur. In my mind, that means he doesn't believe he'll satisfy the people in time (25th).... Makes me feel sketchy that a RV would happen prior the protests... But if he can be buddy buddy w/ Kuwait, why can't they settle their indifferences with ease? Come on now M... Throw your people a bone so they have no reason to protest.

BanG
With any luck his plane, car, train whatever method of travel he chooses will crash and BURN! He is corrupt, devious and during his first term he stole MILLIONS of US dollars and aid, he has held up the whole GOI formation and process. He should never have been allowed a second term. On our side the President has no foreign policy and is useless better still he's an IDIOT. OK, I'm done now..... 2

Remember how Kuwait announced 15 or 20% of their budget was going to be free cash to the people and how the Kuwaitis need not pay for electric and food for a year? this info was speculated to mean that Maliki & Kuwait hammered out their Ch. 7 arrangements and the RV was imminent? mcjocky1
WHAT a Diplomatic Refugee coming to the UK with money. Well there's a first. IF it did happen, then I suggest he contacts me about his security, because if this RV falls through his a$$ is mine. Mind you our Gov. would give him 24hr. protection, free medical cover, AND Social Security Benefits, all at our taxpayers expense. LOL.
lotsaleftpedal
I for one would not want to be in or near any vehicle, especially an airplane, if he decides to bolt. 35,000 ft is a long way to fall.
