wel I can't see how china could hold up the rv do to the fact the Iraq people need it now just as much as we want it to happen, I can see china maybe using alot more oil than before but the US use the most oil by far. so with that said how could china be in any hold up for an rv it would hellp Iraq and the oil prices and if china has leases on oil land for oil than why hold up an rv when tyhey could stand to make money off of the higher oil pricess?

I like this one!!! If I take Scooter's theory. Iraq owes the U.S., the U.S. owes China, therefore Iraq owes China. Yes, that'sa very crude way of saying it and while not entirely accurate, there is some truth it it. I can see where China would want to negotiate with the U.S. over the lease of the oilfields considering that oil is practically the lifeblood of any industrialized nation. China deals with the U.S., the U.S. 'negotiates' with Iraq (gotta maintain that whole perception of sovereignty, right), then Iraq allows China to do what China wanted to do. I have yet to see where China's forgiving U.S. debt has been mentioned though. I don't see the U.S. doing this for nothing, even if China could call the debt. But I can see the US looking far into the future and playing a different game. IMHO, the sooner the world runs out of oil outside of the U.S., the sooner 'Big Oil's' endgame can commence. So, I could see the U.S. allowing China to play in Iraq at a lower rate just to get them in the door and get them hooked. China would be foolish to assume that merely because the U.S. takes on the apperance of a fractured government that our bussiness savy is suffering. We may have socialist tendencies but we are not stupid. Maybe...
