  2. California moves presidential primary to June Fri, Jul 29 2011 SAN FRANCISCO | Fri Jul 29, 2011 8:18pm EDT SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California has moved its presidential primary to June, consolidating trips to the poll to save money in an election that most voters in the Democratic leaning state see as a foregone conclusion. Governor Jerry Brown signed the move into law on Friday. The state for years tried to raise its profile in the national presidential race, but its efforts have been diluted as other states have made similar moves. California spent nearly $100 million for its presidential primary on February 5, 2008, when 24 states, nearly half the nation, held nominating contests in a battle known as "Super Tuesday". The results of the 2012 Democratic primary are preordained with President Barack Obama seeking a second term, said San Jose State University political scientist Larry Gerston. "Most people in the state won't have much motivation" to vote, and state government doesn't need an extra bill, he said. Other states are also changing their primary plans, leaving California's influence on the Republican nomination unclear, he added. "It's just too early to say." The new California law requires presidential primaries to be held on the Tuesday after the first Monday in June, which would put the primary on June 5, 2012. Statewide primaries must be held on the same day. (Reporting by Peter Henderson) http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/07/30/us-usa-campaign-california-idUSTRE76T02P20110730

  4. IMF Chief Warns on Dollar Decline if No Debt Deal Published: Thursday, 28 Jul 2011 | 7:57 PM ET Text Size By: Reuters Twitter LinkedInMore Share Failure by the United States to raise the debt ceiling by an Aug. 2 deadline could lead to a fall in the value of the dollar and raise "doubts" among those using it as a reserve currency, the head of the IMF said on Thursday. "It would probably entail a decline of the dollar relative to other currencies, and probably doubts in the mind of those people who reserve currencies as to whether the dollar is effectively the ultimate and prime currency of reserve," IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde told PBS NewsHour in an interview. Lagarde, a former French finance minister, said it was difficult to predict what the market fallout would be if the U.S. did not reach an agreement and the country defaulted. "There are so many counterparties that are invested in U.S. Treasury funds, it would be very difficult and very dramatic," she added. http://www.cnbc.com/id/43936663

  11. How I understand it. It was to secure oil and power for the USA for years to come. The USA can buy oil from Iraq for $43 a barrel for the next 100 yrs. ( an exageration of time dont know the time frame for sure.) Not only that but in that deal they can resell it to other countries at the market price and make rediculous profit while holding control over a part of the oil. And the profits were to reboot the US economy to a certain extent. ( to the wealthy) Because this investment was not suppossed to be made public. But they needed a percentage of people to invest because they new that the investers would spend that profit. I hope thissynopsis makes sense to ya. lol But this was my understanding of the mess.

It's a currency site that dabbles in news and does not link to the original source of the stories they post. If you absolutely have to post their stuff, put it in the rumor section. Thanks.
