I must admit that I get very frustrated over the "next Mondays." It has supposed to RV every Monday for the last countless weeks. It wouldn't bother me so much if people would say, "I speculate that it might RV next Monday." When it doesn't come through they also don't seem to have a legit explanation as to why it didn't. So, they believe they know for a FACT when it will come through, but do not have any facts to explain why it didn't. Yet, just like the fox who cried wolf, they wan't people to keep believing them the next time.

I think the posts were pretty clear that it was going to RV at 3pm Bagdad time (ie: 7am CST). However, considering what all has happened I speculate. that it might happen sometime this week. Afterall, the RV O Meter is at 99%. We have to keep praying that God gives it to us before we all go broke and that he gives us the wisdom to know how to spend the money we have left wisely.

Here's hoping!

Well I ain't going to the bank today to order more dinar. Did that two and a half weeks ago! The RV O Meter will now go up by decimals. I think this thing is way more complicated than I can get my head around anyway...

I am in Kuwait so I just go to the money exchange downtown. The guy told me he usually sells 40 Million IQD in a week, and last week he sold 400 Million!

Any one who feels foolish for buying Dinar, or thinks they got scammed.....Looks like your not alone at least. If those per week numbers are divided by 10, they are still nutty.

I bet Bernie Madeoff is praying it is a scam so that he won't hold the record anymore.

I am in Baghdad, and this is absolutely not true. I believe at least look for another year before anything happens. Be patient, this is not a get rich quick investment. Its actually a fact that the people in Baghdad, on the tv are laughing at these rumors to the rv happening soon.

Use your common sense, the government was just put in place. They have many stages to go through before we lift the value of their economy. They have to prove that they can maintain unity and leadership before we throw an empire under them.

I always find it interesting for everyone to sit back and bash information or rumors posted. If you don't like it, don't read it, better yet....get off your butts and find some information and bring something to the table instead of your negativity. You guys get real old real fast. Contribute or sit back and stay quiet. If you are going to be downers, sell your dinar and move on.

People have done research and brought alternative opinions. Then they get bashed by the sheep or workers of gurus

3pm est is what was said, which means there is still an hour and 7 mins left...

And you are right, 3pm est is midnight Iraq time.

Jack... I felt the need to correct you on this one. 3PM EST is not midnight in Iraq. They are on UTC +03:00 time, which makes 3pm EST Monday, December 27,2010 11:00PM December 27,2010 in Baghdad. The math just doesn't work out.

Here is the bottom line. And no, I am not a pessimist. I am very optimistic actually. The truth is, NO ONE on these sites know when it is going to happen. Absolutely no one. It is nothing but educated guesses and just plain uneducated guesses. It would be nice if the people on here would post proof that their supposed Intel gave them on a specific date, but alas that has not happened ( I have been viewing on this site for a few years, just registered and this is my first post). It is just people who get a temporary " high " off of them thinking that they just made people very excited. It makes them feel like a king so to speak. They take documents and twist the wording to their liking and make it justify what they just threw out at everybody. Now everybody who bought these Dinar want a RV, everybody. Otherwise they never would of bought them. Myself included. I have bought 15 million over the past few years knowing that this is a long term investment. I truthfully do not believe it will just go from worthless to Fort Knox literally overnight. Then again, I could be wrong. I see it being RV'd to a minimum amount overnight ( and not 3.25... More like 0.25-0.50), then gradually floating up over time as Iraq's economy increases and prospers. If it did literally go from being worth 1/10 of a penny to 3.25 overnight, that would be great. However, it would be a massive shock to the world market. Iraq would go from one of the weakest currencies/economies to being one of the richest overnight. I just don't see that happening. It's really common sense when you think about it.

Think about the South Korean WON for example. That is going to be a great LONG term investment also. They are the most developed emerging markets right now. And in a decade, their undervalued currency will be RV and make the savvy investor a lot of money. I will go more into detail about this, but seeing as this site is about the Dinar, I will not.

So, I see the Dinar being RV to a bottom line shortly ( could be days, weeks or month, no one knows really.). The Paris Treaty does NOT say that they have to RV by EOY for debt to be forgiven. If you are going to say I am misinformed on this, post a link that directly takes me to where it says in the treaty that they MUST RV by EOY. Though, I believe you will be wasting your time in doing so. Dont just say I'm wrong with no proof to back it up.

Anyway, that's my input.

Not to burst anyones bubble but 3pm EST is 11:00pm in Iraq. I am in Iraq right now on the VBC (Victory Base Complex) and it is 1737 (5:37pm).

I am on in the same complex?! hahaha, small world. But it in fact is midnight, (daylight savings time). I was confused on this as well because we do not do the day light savings here.

I guess that is what really bothers me, is the lying...purposeful lying....that doesn't make you look smart...you really look stupid to lie when keeping your mouth shut would be so much better.

I am new and this is my first reply to a post. I can't agree more with the idea of people looking really stupid. Half of them can't even spell and their English is deplorable. Can't there be a forum where we can get just the facts? I consider it a huge waste of time to be searching the internet for reliable information just to get a bunch of baloney. What is the point of posting false information? Does anyone really believe these people?

Well, then I need to correct my previous statement. I forgot that the Misitry of Iraq "opted out" of DST in 2008 ( 2008 was the last year they observed it). So, therefore, 3pmEST, does in fact make it midnight in Iraq. Thank you for posting that rebuttal. I appreciate it.

I guess your credibility is totally challenged, but we should give some thought to a bad rumor on this crazy roller coaster!

It will probably never RV. So you might as well get rid of all your Dinar and move on with your life. Then you will never be upset about someone's prediction not coming true.

No one this site or any other has any special info about a possible RV. If anything, the gurus know someone who speculates about why they think this RV has to happen. If Iraq wants to have a worthless currency, they will. If they want a valuable currency, they can. Will they ? Who knows, its FREAKIN IRAQ. I've got about 5 days of patience left in me. If nothing happens by then, I'll move the Dinar to the back burner, and figure something else out. I hear AMWAY has potential.

Hopefully, this is just the confusion before the RV. But as always, time will tell.

With the government being set-up, debts being paid, chapter 7 taken care of, there is no way this thing is not going to happen. Iraq cannot operate globally w/ a currency that is worthless. So to all the gurus & specialists why dont ya"ll just chill.Personally, I think it happens this year. If not I will just do what I always do & be extremley happy doing it. GO RV

I like the enthusiasm Kenny, but you might be a bit premature on a couple points. The "whole" government is not quite set up (took 9 months after the election to get where we are now, and they still don't have 100% of the key posts agreed to yet), debts are being paid but there is still plenty of debt left to be retired, chapter 7 is not totally "taken care of" either as far as the Kuwaiti's are concerned, and Iraq's currency is not worthless (I believe you can get one million IQD for 1170 USD, and I seem to recall countries like Mexico have operated under similar circumstances). Just sayin...
