The head of the "State of Law" coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, discussed with the US ambassador, Thursday, the promotion of common interests between the two sides, while "Romansky" praised al-Maliki's role in developing relations between Washington and Baghdad.  

  

A statement by the media office of Al-Maliki, of which "NAS" received a copy (June 22, 2023), stated that "during the meeting, they discussed political and security developments in the country and the region, as well as cooperation between the two countries in a way that strengthens work bonds and coordination on the political, economic and cultural levels to serve the common interests of the two peoples." The head of the Victory Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, discussed with the Ambassador of the United States of America, Alina Romansky, and her accompanying delegation, on Thursday, the current developments in the country.  

 

According to a statement by Al-Abadi's media office, which "NAS" received a copy of (June 22, 2023), "during the meeting, they discussed developments in the political, security and economic conditions, strengthening cooperation between the two countries and the vision of the Iraqi government in its dealings with countries in the region and the international community through openness and intertwining of economic interests."  

  

Emphasis was placed on "the importance of supporting the current government in its reform program, fighting corruption and providing services to citizens, especially with the approval of the country's financial budget."

Uh huh. Maliki doesn’t give a rat’s patooty about that country or its people, he wants power and access to the money. He darn sure doesn’t care about mutual respect. 
I can recall Maliki going to Washington to try to get some help when the world was falling down around his head and no one, except a couple of Congressmen, (I believe I’m right about this) would even meet with him. 
I hope people in Washington haven’t short memories. The snake can’t be trusted.

The US Ambassador, Alina Romanowski, revealed the content of her talks with Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani.  

  

Romanowski said in a tweet followed by "NAS" (June 27, 2023): "I met today with Oil Minister Hayan to discuss the increased interest of American companies to invest in Iraq."  

  

"We also discussed the importance of reopening the Iraq-Turkey pipeline to restore supplies to international markets and boost the Iraqi economy - for the benefit of all Iraqis," she added.
