{Local: Al Furat News} The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced that the Council of Ministers voted in its meeting held today, Tuesday, to increase the capital of the Small Projects Fund in the Ministry.

 

Al-Asadi said in a statement, which {Euphrates News} received a copy of, that: "In compliance with the implementation of the government program and at the request of the Ministry of Labor, the Council of Ministers voted today to increase the capital of the Small Projects Fund in the ministry."

He explained, "After the House of Representatives voted several weeks ago to amend the soft loan bill to become twenty million for a project that employs a worker with the owner of the project, thirty million for a project that employs two workers with the owner of the project, and fifty million for a project that employs three workers with the owner of the project."

"We will stand with our youth and provide them with whatever job opportunities we can," al-Asadi said.

A government statement said that "as a continuation of the Prime Minister's visit to Baghdad International Airport, during which he directed to improve the reality and improve the company's services, the Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Economy as follows ...

1- The price of jet fuel supplied to the State Company for Iraqi Airways shall be (20%) of the price of the international bulletin with administrative loads, provided that the company submits an action plan to raise the level of services provided and improve its reality, benefiting from this support to the Ministerial Council of Economy within a period of (90) working days, after which the price will be reviewed in light of developments.

2- The price of jet fuel supplied to other national carrier companies (Fly Baghdad, your, etc.) officially registered with the Civil Aviation Authority shall be (80%) of the price of the international bulletin with administrative loads.

3- The price of jet fuel supplied to foreign international airlines is (the price of the international bulletin with administrative loads).

4- Compliance with the Council of Ministers Resolution (23026 of 2023) on dealing with the Iraqi dinar at the dollar exchange rate prescribed for the Central Bank of Iraq.

The Council of Ministers, in its session held yesterday, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Human Development (23011b), regarding the approval of the National Strategy for Education in Iraq (2022-2031), which was officially launched by the Prime Minister yesterday. The Council agreed, according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office, to increase the capital of the Fund for Supporting Small Income-Generating Projects, to become one trillion three hundred and fifty billion dinars, instead of one hundred and fifty billion dinars, to cover the plan of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs within the government program for a period of three years.

With regard to the energy sector in Iraq, the Council of Ministers approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy No. (23037i), which includes the recommendation of the Central Committee for Review and Approval of the referral in the Ministry of Oil, regarding the contract of the Midland Refineries Company / Karbala Refinery Project to implement the order for supplying chemicals. The Cabinet discussed other issues on the agenda, and issued the following decisions:

First: Approval of authorizing the Ministry of Justice to contract with doctors and health professionals, both Iraqis and non-Iraqis.

Secondly, maintaining the previous cabinet decision (125 of 2022), regarding the Ministry of Interior/General Traffic Directorate concluding an investment contract with the Police Martyrs Fund; To establish a factory for manufacturing traffic signs, as an exception from Cabinet Resolution (245 of 2019).

Third / Approving the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of Economy regarding the exclusion of Ibn Sina State Company (formerly) from merging with the State Company for Military Industries (formerly) according to Cabinet Resolution (360 of 2015) starting from January 1, 2016, until August 31, 2017, to facilitate the process of Merging the financial statements with the General Company for Mining Industries, as Ibn Sina State Company (previously) is now merged with the General Company for Mining Industries).

Fourth: Approving the combined report of the periodic reports (26) and (27) of the state parties to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, and sending it to the concerned international committees through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the deadlines for submitting reports related to international agreements.

The session also witnessed deliberation on issues on the agenda and the issuance of decisions regarding them, in addition to the issuance of a number of directives to ministers related to the work of their ministries.
