Shafaq News/ Parliament Rapporteur Gharib Askar announced on Monday the resumption of Parliament sessions next week, stressing that no date has been set for the presidential election session.

Askar told Shafaq News Agency, "The House of Representatives will resume its regular sessions next week, and that the sessions that will be held will be regular to discuss, read and vote on laws and not to elect the President of the Republic."

He added, "The parliamentary committees have begun their work to host ministers and officials and follow up on the work of ministries and state departments."

The House of Representatives resumed its work last Wednesday after stopping for several months due to a sit-in by supporters of the Sadrist movement in its building in protest against the nomination of the coordination framework, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, for the post of prime minister.

{Political: Al-Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Aref Al-Hamami, explained, on Monday, that no date has been set for the next parliament session.

Al-Hamami said in an exclusive interview with {Euphrates News}, “No date has been set for the next parliament session, and the sessions will be according to three options. political and requires a quorum of more than two-thirds, or a session determined by the head of the council or one of his deputies, which is normal.

{Politics: Al Furat News} The House of Representatives is preparing to pass 3 very important laws that have been locked up during the past periods.
 

A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Aref Al-Hamami told Al-Furat News that: “The committee’s meetings are continuing, especially after the return of the parliament’s sessions, and the light will shine on the committees in which there is no political dispute and do not need consensus.”
He added, "Parliament will work on approving the Social Security Law and amendments to the General Pension Law and the Military Service Law."
Al-Hamami continued, "As for the laws that are marred by political disagreement, they are the laws of oil and gas and the Federal Court, and they are passed only by agreement."
On Wednesday last week, the House of Representatives held its fourth session under the chairmanship of Muhammad al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Council, with the presence of 240 deputies.
The political arena is currently witnessing a persistent movement to form the next government, elect the President of the Republic, and complete all constitutional obligations.

And his office stated in a statement that {Al-Furat News} received a copy of it, that: “Al-Mandlawi chaired a meeting of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee in the presence of the Minister of Interior and the advanced cadre in the Ministry to discuss a number of important files, including the security reality throughout the country, especially the recent events of Nasiriyah, and the follow-up of the ministry’s spending of funds allocated in Law "Food Security".

And the media department said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that "the Saturday session will include taking the constitutional oath of some deputies, and discussing the Iranian bombing file on the Kurdistan Region."

She added that "the session will also include the first reading of the draft mineral investment law, the first reading of the draft law on social security and retirement for workers, as well as general discussions."1665061660271.jpg

The Council said, according to a document seen by Alsumaria News, that "the third session of the House of Representatives will be held next Saturday, October 8, 2022."

He added, according to the agenda, that the session will witness "the swearing in of the constitutional oath of some members of the House of Representatives, and a discussion of the Iranian bombing of areas of Iraqi Kurdistan, in addition to the first reading of the bill addressing housing abuses, and the first reading of the Mineral Investment Law."

Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee set its agenda during hosting the Governor of the Central Bank next Sunday, including setting the dollar exchange rate and the monetary reserve.

Committee member Muhammad Nouri said in an interview that "the committee's agenda during hosting the Central Bank Governor Mustafa Ghaleb next Sunday includes discussing the financial surplus and cash reserves and transferring funds to the rest of the ministries."
