On this great occasion, the timeless incident of Al-Tuff, where my father, the free Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), revolted against injustice, I offer my sincere condolences to the Iraqi people and to the Islamic nation, and to the position of the supreme authority in Najaf.

The exploits planned by the Ashura epic transcended the limits of time and place until it became an example for all humanity that does not stop at a sect, sect or nationalism, in order to achieve truth and resist oppression and tyranny, no matter how high the costs. Thus, the imam’s sacrifice became a luminous and renewed path on the path to freedom.

What we need today to draw lessons and meanings from this immortal memory, and to agitate, unite ranks and unite under the roof of the nation in reform and serving our patient people who deserve all the best, safety and prosperity, and work for a capable state worthy of Iraq and its people.

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, condoled Monday on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, stressing "the importance of drawing lessons and meanings from this eternal memory, as our country needs a comprehensive reform."

Details of thwarting a suicide bombing attempt on a Husseiniya procession in Diyala

He pointed out that "the department's staff is not limited to facilitating the tasks of the media delegations, but also has media outlets affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, which also carry out various media coverages, all of which serve the cause of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and his visitors."
