The leader of the "Sadrist movement" in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr, warned against using weapons outside the state, and targeting any of the diplomatic missions in the country.

In his tweet on Twitter, Al-Sadr said: "Some parties and some countries want to bring us into the crucible of military and security escalation in Iraq."

He added, "It is strictly forbidden to use weapons outside the jurisdiction of the state, and it is prohibited to target any diplomatic mission, whatever it is, but absolutely."

And he considered that whoever does this "is disobeying our orders and decisions. Rather, it harms the security of Iraq, its land and people, and benefits the forces of evil and darkness to drag Iraq into violence and make it an arena for regional and international conflicts."

He continued, "Let you know that Iraq and its people need peace and sovereignty, and we will not kneel except to God Almighty."

The leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr, warned this evening, Saturday, of what he called the attempt by some countries to enter Iraq as a "crucible of military and security escalation."

This came in a tweet by Al-Sadr, on the eve of the start of mass demonstrations, which are expected to be launched by leaders of the popular "crowd", in conjunction with the first anniversary of the assassination of the Iranian Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Forces.

Al-Sadr said, "Some parties and some countries (he did not name them) want us to enter the crucible of military and security escalation in Iraq."

He added, directing his followers: "It is strictly forbidden to use weapons outside the jurisdiction of the state, and it is prohibited to target any diplomatic mission, whatever it is, but absolutely."

Al-Sadr considered whoever does that "harm the security of Iraq, its land and its people, and benefit the forces of evil and darkness to drag Iraq into violence and make it an arena for regional and international conflicts."

On Friday, the Secretary General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq called Qais Khazali to demonstrate on Sunday under the slogan "Days of martyrdom and sovereignty."

In his tweet, Khazali said, "In support of the man of the age and time, love for Iraq, and loyalty to the blood of the martyrs, we invite every honorable person from this country to participate in the demonstration of martyrdom and sovereignty days on Sunday in Tahrir Square," in the center of the capital, Baghdad.

Yesterday (Thursday), the leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri, called for a demonstration on the anniversary of the Airport Street incident, in which the deputy head of the crowd, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, were assassinated.

On January 3 of last year, the engineer and Soleimani were assassinated in an American raid near Baghdad airport.

Al- Amiri said, "Everyone should participate extensively and actively in the demonstrations on the third of next January, to honor the blood of the engineer and Soleimani."

Al-Amiri indicated that those demonstrations "will determine the fate of Iraq," without clarifying.

And earlier today, Saturday, Iraqi security managed to dismantle a mine attached for two days to an oil tanker in the waiting area for ships in international waters, in the Arabian Gulf.

The Security Media Cell announced in a statement today, Saturday, that "through distinguished efforts, the technical effort, in particular the efforts of the Explosives Control Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Naval Forces Command, was able to dismantle the mine that stuck to one of the ships in the ship waiting area in international waters."

The cell stated in its statement that "an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of this incident."

It is noteworthy that the heavily fortified Green Zone in Baghdad, which includes government buildings and foreign diplomatic missions, has recently been exposed to a series of Katyusha missile attacks, without human casualties, and the security services have not yet revealed the perpetrators of these missile attacks.

The international coalition and its contracting companies have also been attacked with explosive devices throughout the past period in the capital and the central and southern provinces of Iraq, without government or security authorities revealing the perpetrators of these attacks or the results of their investigations, and Washington accuses Iraqi factions loyal to Iran of carrying out these attacks.

In the past few weeks, the frequency of attacks targeting US forces and the forces and interests of other countries in the international coalition against "ISIS" (the terrorist banned in Russia and a large number of countries) has escalated in Iraq, if the attacks take place on an almost daily basis.
