James Cromwell: There will Be ‘Revolution,’ ‘Blood in the Streets’ Unless Trump Stopped

 

 

Before he was honored at the 4th annual Carney Awards Sunday evening, Actor James Cromwell warned that the United States will experience another a “revolution” with “blood in the streets” unless President Donald Trump’s agenda is thwarted.

“This is nascent fascism. We always had a turnkey, totalitarian state — all we needed was an excuse, and all the institutions were in place to turn this into pure fascism,” James Cromwell said in an interview with Variety. “If we don’t stop [President Trump] now, then we will have a revolution for real. Then there will be blood in the streets.”

During his acceptance later in the evening, the Babe star spoke about the importance of voting during the fast-approaching midterm election.

“We’re living in very curious times, and something is coming up which is desperately important to this country and to this planet, and that is an election, in which hopefully in some measure we are going to take back our democracy,” Cromwell told attendees. “We will have a government that represents us and not the donor class. We will cut through the corruption, we won’t have to do what comes next, which is either a non-violent revolution or a violent one, because this has got to end.”

Cromwell’s progressive activism has previously landed the Emmy-nominated actor in hot water.

Cromwell served a weekend in an Orange County jail in July 2017 after he was arrested for protesting SeaWorld’s orca show in San Diego. In what was his first interview after his release, Cromwell urged other Hollywood actors and actresses to step up there political activism. ‘This community has got to get more engaged,” he told the Daily Mail. “This community has got to get more political. More than our survival as an industry, our appropriateness is at stake. What’s really at stake is our humanity and all sentient life.”

Pittsburgh Rabbi Receives Hate Mail for Saying He’d Be Honored to Meet Trump

 

The rabbi who led prayer services at the Tree of Life Congregation synagogue in Pittsburgh the day it was attacked by a deranged gunman has revealed he has received hate mail for saying he would be “honored” to meet with President Trump.

Rabbi Jeffrey Myers, who survived Saturday’s brutal attack by hiding in a bathroom until SWAT rescued him, said Monday that it would be his “honor” to “meet a president of the United States” when asked by NBC’s Savannah Guthrie if he would like to meet with President Trump when he arrives in Pittsburgh.

Appearing on CNN Tuesday, Myers revealed he had received hate mail for his comments.

“When I first said that the president was welcome, I’ve received a lot of emails, too numerous to count, I’ve received many that are not happy with those words.Those emails also contain hate. It just continues in this vicious cycle. We need to be better than this. We can be better than this.”

 

 

 

President Trump will visit Pittsburgh Tuesday afternoon where he is expected to meet with local Jewish leaders. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Monday that President Trump wishes to unite the country. “The president cherishes the American Jewish community for everything it stands for and contributes to our country. Renowned for her toughness, the world got to see a softer side to White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on Monday while she was briefing the media.

Just feet away from her sat people who had been publishing and making ugly commentary about her and President Donald Trump in the aftermath of the horrific tragedy of the shooting in Pittsburgh at the Tree of Life synagogue.

The horror of the tragedy and the ugliness of the media all came to a head as Sanders addressed the room and the nation. How could she help but tear up as she spoke first of the tragedy and then of the great love Trump has for the Jewish community?

Like so many other false accusations launched at Trump and his staff, more were hurled in the aftermath of the shooting — but this time critics had the audacity to claim the president and his administration don’t care about — or even hate — Jews.

This despite the numerous wonderful things Trump has done for the Jewish community and Israel. This despite the fact his own daughter (Ivanka), son-in-law (Jared Kushner) and their children are all Jewish.

Those in the media have done themselves no favors with such vileness. They have only added to the distrust and dislike Americans feel toward them with such blatant ugliness and falsehoods.

Particularly in the wake of tragedies like the one in Pittsburgh, and particularly while so many are grieving.

In the comment section of ABC News’ tweet of Sanders’ emotional moment, there was a mix of more vileness from the left and support from the right. Supporters of the president took aim at the way the shooting has been politicized and used to attack Trump, who had nothing to do with it.

During his show on Monday night, Lemon said the “biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right” followed by “there is no white guy ban. So, what do we do about that?”

It was on television and captured on video, then shared multiple times across social media networks, easily going viral because of what Lemon said.

All one has to do to discern who is on which side of that battle line is look at the actions of the person. When one in braces manipulation deceit and lies they serve evil. When one Embraces Integrity, honesty, and Truth they serve good. It's as simple as that.
