Synopsis
Thank You, Yota, for posting this and all the other great articles! The article states at the end, "He noted to "discuss the possibility of rehabilitating the railway linking Iraq via Turkey , Germany , the line of what is represented by the line of the economic importance of the two countries as well as a connecting Asia to Europe."" Getting this railway reconstructed to modern rail standards would be an aid to bolstering the Iraqi economy to allow for Iraqi goods to be readily transported to Europe. I suspect Iraq could also collect tariffs on foreign goods passing through.
