Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari announced that the Ministry of Finance has issued instructions to impose taxes on cigarettes and import cars and Kartat mobile and the Internet.

Zebari said during a press conference attended by the correspondent of the agency all of Iraq [where] "have been issued instructions to implement the provisions in the budget items concerning tax and sales tax and mobilize the mobile phone and import cars and Internet companies and cigarettes and alcoholic beverages."

Zebari confirms activation taxes to bridge the budget deficit

New finance minister, Hoshyar Zebari, confirmed the commitment of the federal government signed an agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government, while that of the priorities in the work of the ministry will be given to the defense and displaced persons and the basic needs of the citizen security.
He Zebari told a news conference held today Thursday, 26/02/2015, at the headquarters of Wazzarahibmanasph the issuance and publication of the budget law in the Official Gazette (the facts of Iraq), the budget bill will be the work of the Ministry of Finance and other ministries and government institutions for the implementation of the budget, which was built on the basis of the agreement between the government and the terms of evidence Central and the Kurdistan Regional Government during the current year.  
Zebari said the difficult challenges faced by Iraq during this year due to lower oil prices in world markets on the one hand, and the war on terror, on the other hand, so the budget has taken into account the need to put pressure on government spending and work to bridge the budget deficit by maximizing state resources of Iraq's internal sources and activate the collection of fees owed to the state, and that priority will be given to the defense and displaced persons and the basic needs of citizens, including security personnel and pensioners. 
On the other hand, Zebari said that the Ministry of Finance began regardless salaries companies and self-funded institutions.
