"How else could a merger help Mexico? What is Mexico’s biggest problem? The easy answer to that question is clearly the presence and new influence of Mexico’s drug cartels. And what does Texas have that Mexico doesn’t?"

The Death Penalty.

And it should be used on anyone, repeat anyone, caught in the drug trade, from the cartel bigwigs, to the addicts who support their own dependency by selling drugs to kids on the playground during recess.

Just sayin'

You silly billy's need to work on your reading comprehension. I did not write this post. It is simply a post and link to one of many websites dedicated to Texas being removed, or removing itself from the United States. I thought you fells's would enjoy it. It's more entertainment than anything else. Sorry for ruffling so many feathers. New Yorkers have a thicker skin and we like to poke fun at one another. I apologize and will try to be more sensitive going forward. Sorry guys.

In fairness to you, LIBoy, I knew you weren't the original author. My comments are reserved for the original poster.

P.S. Mexicans also fought with the "Texians" in the fight for independence from Mexico.

I thought it was pretty good humor myself. But it did get me thinking. Why dont we take over mexico. Kick there a$$ take their land. You know like we did the indians. Great beach front property . Warm. Great growing season. We can round up most the population and place them on reservations. The ones that behave themselves we can give you know token responability like they are really in charge of something. Sounds like a plan. I will get our bastard in chief right on it.

HOLY COW!!! Thank you for taking it the way it was intended, as silly entertainment. People have been so darn upity on this site lately. This site used to be filled with people who could have fun and poke fun at one another and not think twice about it. Lately, you can cut the tension with a knife. The site is filled with disgruntled conservative republicans (of which I am one minus the disgruntled part) who seem so down on everyone and everything. One thing I learned long ago through the power of the Serenity Prayer is that I can not let other people's words and actions affect my mood and general well being. Politics is a cycle and as all cycles before it, this one will run it's course. Obama is a socialist demon who wants everyone's guns. We can all agree on that. Laws will be passed and stricter gun laws will be put into place. Most likely that will occur. In four years Obama will be gone and most likely, a Republican will be our next president. At that time he or she will most likely undue all that the current administration has done and all will be right with the world as far as pro gun advocates are concerned. Then the tides will shift, as they always do, and the anti gun advocates will get their turn to be disgruntled Americans who feel the country is going the wrong direction. Ebb and Flow. It is the way of the world. In the mean time how about we all lighten up, enjoy the blessings that the good Lord has bestowed upon us and remember.....

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change.

The courage to change the things I can

And the wisdom to know the difference.

Our hearts do feel prejudice against those who break our laws,

abuse us, murder us, steal from us, take advantage of us, etc.

Not all prejudice is bad.

Grow up.

To dislike being victimized by a country & it's citizens who have NO respect

for us is the correct, sane response.

If we came into YOUR home and did the things to you that mexico does to

the USofA, you'd be the first one screaming like a big baby!

You may very well be right and I respect your position. We are two totally different people from two totally different walks of life. Our life experiences help shape us into the people we become. Sometimes I get so caught up in my own life on Long Island that I lose site of the fact that there is a big country out there and everyone has their own crosses to bear. I would like to apologize to you and everyone else who was offended by this post. It was meant simply as entertainment but many people took it to heart and for that I am truly sorry. Sometimes my New York sence of humor doesn't go over very well with others. I will work on that. Bottom line is, we are all here for the same reason and hopefully some day soon the dinar will fulfill its own destiny and grant us all the ability to make this world a better place for us, our children, and our children's children.

Take care.

hahahah ya liboy that's a lot of negs for just making a joke. But yes we are a little on the tense side right now. It`s bad enough we have 4 more years of this nonsense. We have the government spending like drunken sailors, Our children`s minds being poisoned by liberal teachers, The unions telling us we have no choice, ambassadors being killed and nothing being done about it, Al-qaeda who is suppose to be decimated killing more Americans, No jobs, illegals pouring across the boarder, Crazy mayors who in the middle of a national catastrophe is more worried about how many oz of pop you might be drinking. lunatics shooting children, and now they want to take my guns.

Nuff said?

Texans are not thin skinned. The reason you get responses like that is because Texans are some of the proudest people of their state than any other in this country! That statement is like us telling you to hand your daughter or son over to Mexico for their own use. There's a reason the saying is "don't mess with Texas!"

Prejudice runs deep in your heart. I'm sorry you are carrying so much anger and pain.

Oh the commonly used liberal passive aggressive dismissal. Your delusions are the only thing that run deeper than your ignorance. You must be the proud product of our liberal teachers and instructors, our youth brainwashed from begining to end... damn I want those tax dollars back right now. :shakehead:

Lilboy after further reading I was gonna walk back my comment a bit and grant some credit to ya...even a plus or two..then I got your comment on my profile and now I'm back to the original assertation :bugs:/>

Your post is an example of what I am refering to in post #28 of this thread. I went to your profile and left you that message because I wanted to joke with you in regards to your reply on this thread. I thought I would keep it between the two of us because it drives me crazy when folks go back and forth with each other on a public thread rather than just messaging each other on their profiles. I thought you would have a sence of humor about it but apparently I was wrong. So everyone knows, my message on his profile page was simply...."You know me so well, do you do kid's parties? LOL" I added the lol so you would know I was joking. The message was based on the fact that your original response referred to me in a way that would lead someone to believe you know me quite well, when in fact I don't think we have ever communicated on this board.

I'm sorry you were unable to see the humor in it. I assure you it was completely innocent. OK enough of me having to explain my motives. I'm lying down with son, watching Sponge Bob and going to bed, Goodnight all.

Mexico does not allow illegal immigration. Central Americans caught in Mexico are arrested.

I am sick of all these illegals and the free money they get.

I am also sick of there US dollars illegally earned getting sent down south.

This is not about hatred. This is about LAW and LAWS being broken.

PS. I speak spanish and am married to a Latina also have lived in S America.

i love Mexico and used to travel down there a lot. Always had my papers in order when traveling.

Los Angeles is turning into Mexico. Time to deport illegals.

Start with Uncle Obama. Send his drunk asss back to Keyna.

Why Mexico Wants Texas

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Posted on 7th January, by Sell Texas in Proposal.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember the Alamo?

So what would be the advantage to Mexico of acquiring Texas? Clearly there would be the most obvious and most important issue: Mexicans would get to reclaim the Alamo. They won it the first time and then through tricks of history they lost it. Now if they could somehow spot it among the towers of San Antonio, they could re-hoist the Mexican flag. That alone would lead to a huge boost in the national economy as every Mexican would raise a freshly purchased Dos Equis to toast the moment.

But on the financial side? Capital. Texas has wealth. The influx of capital into a second world economy would be transforming. Unlike third world countries whose wealth, being held in the hands of so few, has not been transformative — Saudi Arabia, Libya, etc. — Mexico is well on its way with established democratic and economic activities. And with its wealth, Texas could also bring technical knowledge-engineers, IT workers, etc., to supplement the burgeoning professional classes already in Mexico.

Another thing that would occur would be the increase in prestige, not an unimportant issue in the sale. Mexico currently ranks 60th (at $14,406) on the IMF list of countries by GDP and the U.S. is 7th (at $46,860). Texas had just over 25 million people in the last census and Mexico has 112 million people. By merging into a new economic unit the GDP would instantly rise to $20,310 dollars and move the new country to 44th on the list. And think of the instant influence in the hemisphere and particularly in the oil and gas business. Mexico is already ranked 14th in reserves of oil and the U.S. 11th. Texas’ share in production is in the neighborhood of 1/5th of the U.S. production of oil. Texas joining Mexico would put them on par and an even more significant player, with the increased capacity on the technological side to produce more from the combined reserves.

Cartels vs Cowboys: Need Some Stinkin’ Badges

How else could a merger help Mexico? What is Mexico’s biggest problem? The easy answer to that question is clearly the presence and new influence of Mexico’s drug cartels. And what does Texas have that Mexico doesn’t? The Texas Rangers. Not the baseball team, but the real Rangers. Tall, quiet, deadly aim. If you don’t know about these guys dredge up some reruns from the ’50’s TV series or the Chuck Norris series of 1993. Talk about a challenge that the official police force (The Rangers) and the unofficial police force (the militias) would love to have. Filled with excessively armed Texans, the Wild West would be fought over again in melodramatic glory, with the good guys winning in style. Think of the new spin-off movies, books, love affairs that would transpire not to mention the boost to the arms industry. Folks wouldn’t even have to smuggle guns across the border anymore. They would just flow unimpeded like a river. Mexico would have to rescind its gun laws of course, but in the big picture that would be a small sacrifice. Mexico, drug free and proud. Except it wouldn’t be called Mexico, would it?

You live in NY? I live in Texas. Your post is ridiculous and rather uninformed. Texas is a great state and conducive to business, unlike others in this nation. Be careful what you post.

Thanks,

Ski
