Just a thought that may be off base...maybe the people so intent on raising taxes on the wealthy think there might be a wave of new wealthy folks on the horizon..if that is so maybe they know something they should share ...but of course they wont but other wise new taxes wont be more than a snowball in Hell as far as the national debt is concerned...regardless Merry Christmas to all of you great gals and guys and may the New Year be your happiest, healthiest and most prosperous ever!!!...blessings and as always>>>cheers

taxes serve a purpose .. i dont like the taxes that never end .. like they say we need to raise taxes to fix the roads .. .. then when the roads are repaired .. they never lower the tax back down .. if they said we need to increase the highway bill for the next 2 years to accomplish this or that .. then they lower it back down to the normal rates again .. we need a normalized rate to standardize our system...

the way it is now once they accomplish their project .. they start wasting money .. so they can spend the entire budget each year .. why ? .. because if they dont use up the entire budget .. the next year the bidget will be cut in the amount that they didnt spend .. thats our countrys standard policy .. spend ,, spend spend ... or our budget will get cut ..

ya know so what if your budget is cut .. dont waste money to spend the whole budget if its not necessary ..

thats how our govt works .. and if they could just all get to gether and come up with a new policy . called .."lets be honest ".. then maybe the waste and fraud would go away .

any time they take money ..."out" of the private sector ... which is where most of us work ...the private sector shrinks ..

when the private sector is not doing well .. ya dont take money out of it .. so the wasteful budgets of govt can spend what they dont need to spend wastefully ..

the rich peoples money is all invested .. its not in piles somewhere ..we benifit from having rich people in our country ..

if ya dont think we do .. lest send all our rich people and their corporations to .. indonesia .. and we can set up table markets ..and flea markets .. and we will see if .. over a couple years if indonesia becomes a super power . and we become a 3rd world country ..

i suggest no one listens to the propaganda thats invaded our borders .. and support the rich as one of our own .. not as some kind of enemy ..

im proud of the rich .. im proud of the huge corporations .. im proud of what america is .. and those of you who are against america being rich .. im sure you are fromanother country that want our businesses to fail so your businesses prosper .. .. yep when our steel industry went under .. steel didnt ceae to exist .. the industry just moved to another country .. most likely the country who had the propaganda campaign here in america by paying off lobbiests .. and congressmen to regulate them out of our country ..

thats how they work .. they find radical groups ..that support clean air .. or what ever enviromental group .. and these foriegn govts pour money into those organizations to help them shut down american businesses so the business goes to their country .

the same air we breath .. the atmosphere .. is still being poluted ,, but its being poluted in thewir country ..and they just stole your wealth with lies .. and payoffs ..

so support your rich people and the american corporations or we could be the third world country .. and the far east .. or venezuala wil be the super powers ..

yes venezuala had the biggest steel mill inthe world at the same time america was being told the steel mills were destroying our air .. wonder who was paying for that propaganda ..

stand with america .. when someone talks about it .. just simply say .."i dont believe that ".. america is a great country ,, and move on ..

Its Unfortunate but I would rather have the tax burden than to pass the debt on to my kids. :(/>/>

Question is, will they actually lower the debt or just find new ways to spend it?

It may be a little late response but,, I was I under the impression that all on road fuel carries both Federal and State taxes designated for highway repairs,
