First, to put all my cards on the table, I actually campaigned for John McCain. Yup, I called people to make sure they were registered, passed out flyers on campus, and even drove them to the polling place on election day. So when McCain announce Sarah as his running mate, my first reaction, was, who is that? :blink: Then I got one look at her and my heart went boom boom boom. I'm sorry, but it did, I had a MAJOR crush on her the moment I saw her. :wub: I call it the JFK syndrome. :P

Then of course, I quickly read up on her achievements, and I was impressed. She seemed to be decisive, have her constituents’ desires at heart and came across as a rather a tough broad (I can say that cuz I'm a woman). :P Plus, she had some of that rugged Alaskan charm of: shoot first and ask question later. Which appeals to my feminine persona of a modern day Amazon.

yea, baby, I was sold...and then...and then...she started to talk..and the more she said, the more I was like...OMG. :blink: And all I could think is McCain went for window dressing.

Say what you will about W, when he picked a running mate, he picked someone that was someone on conservative ideology steroids. But McCain goofed. Did that cost him the election...hmmm...no, I think people were tired and wanted something different. The people of my generation bought into the "change" rhetoric that Obama built his campaign around.

So as a recovering Palin lover, I can honestly say, that I would NOT want someone like her with access to "THE BUTTON".

Instead give me my dream team of Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell :wub:
