Interesting to notice the value of the Jordan Dinar ...$1.4127... And I am not even sure Jordan has any oil.. Maybe a little ...But that exchange rate is pretty staggering imo...

As far as I know (not much I admit) Jordan is not supposed to be a particularly rich Country anyway.

The reason is that Jordan only has about 9.5 billion dinar in circulation. For a country of approx 6.5 million people, that is not much currency. If you compare that to Iraq, who has about 5 times as many people and about 3000 times as much currency in circulation, it is easy to see why Jordan's money is worth considerably more
