Oscar2 I have to strongly agree with what you have stated. I think we have all been exhausted on "opinions" that in reality mean nothing. It merely becomes a waste of people's time in reading them. I would hope that from here on people would refrain from providing opinions unless there is some information based on fact. Each one of these comments have been "de-bunked" by the gurus in this investment. I do believe that based on all they we have heard over the last 3 years, that we are close enough to this coming to completion, that we don't need to waste our time on conjecture and opinions. There is good evidence (until it is 100% officially de-bunked) that the tax on this investment will be based on capital gains. Lets get this finished! ! ! I tired of waiting and reading these "nothing-like" posts.

You're kidding ---- right Quad? You must have had a bad dream to be leaning in THAT direction. Hey, how about waiting until Dec. 2011 so the GOI can get their govt functioning like a machine; that way more oil will be pumping, price for a barrel of oil may be at $100/brl and the security forces will have had time to remove more Al-Qaida terrorists from the country to greatly improve community stability........... along with 100 other political & social improvements. It all makes sense............... but you know what; I just made it up! ! ! Comments like this just make NO sense. I would suggest that you refrain the best you can and keep comments like this to yourself. It's a waste of time reading it. I can understand Sonny1 being negative. I think by this time we all are! Keepwlkfny continues to find anything to extend this process; spinning it his own way with some half truths mixed in to make his commentary sound plausible so people respond with YEA! ! ! I liked it when we just stuck with the facts (including a link) and discussed the information in a rational manner. I am so tired of reading opinions based on nothing but someone's wondering mind. Like for example, the IRS will take $2.05 of every dinar cashed in and then have you pay a tax on the balance you are left with. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! Talk about a creative mind!!! After reading this thread, I totally forgot what the main subject was, so I highlighted it so I could remember. My response is "What's new?" It has been this way since July. I feel all these "gurus" have some credibility since they are going to the trouble of finding information and passing it on. I believe they do the best they can to validate the information, but lets face it, some of the information is impossible to validate - therefore it is a "rumor". And as we have seen, rumors are all over the board. The latest, that Pat Robertson has stated that the Iraqi Dinar is now a sham after supporting the investment over the last 2 years is a rumor, but this is a rumor that is an easier one to validate - if you wish to do so! Personally, I don't care what Pat Robertson says about anything, but that is what I choose to do. So, enjoy the information you get, believe what you feel is right and wait for the final outcome with the rest of us.

Wow! ! ! After reading this thread, it sure appears we are all getting a little (lot) "antsy" for this RV process to be completed! According to Frank's "on the ground" intel, there are NO double prices in Iraq and he states there is no need for it due to the size of the stores. Another group, stated that there are no ships trying to unload cars in port based on intel on the ground and GPS shipping information. Allawi is "back -in" now to the post he was vacating yesterday (article given in newshound). Most of the other items are rumor issues with no facts to back them up. I think we only need to focus on the govt formation and ultimate announcement before we see any final movement to the RV. Moving up UN meetings, forming the govt on Dec 15th, etc is all poppy-cock. Iraq will conclude the RV process on the last possible day, just as they always have. I would be "only surprised and blessed" if this happened before Dec. 25th; Maliki's last day to form the govt.. That's approximately 2 weeks from now, not a long time. I believe if we just be patient and "don't sweat the details", we'll all be happy with the final result and make the journey there a lot more fun! ! ! Besides, we're all on the same side (except for the LOPsters !).

Bane, I believe your request is quite reasonable. With all the discussions about LOP with this investment over the past year, it is quite clear that a discussion on LOP is for people that are advocates for this action and really not for other IQD investors. Even Ali says there will be no LOP along with all the previous economic discussions that were offered. Some in extensive detail! I believe that is why a separate section was created for that type of discussion. Pligrim, your comment was a definition of "bashing" on this site. I make this comment for example purposes only - not to bash Pilgrim. That is the type of commentary that helps no one in further understanding their investment. We are too close to the end of this journey and its potential blessings. It would be good to have a little bit of restraint in bashing from here on out so investors can enjoy the final days of this investment.

I strongly agree with your comment. These economic times have been extremely difficult on a lot of very good, educated and talented people. Because of the times, people are "reaching out" to get a "stimulus" for their families by incorporating the IQD as an investment. That's what investing is all about. It's not wrong to hope for good or even great results out of your investment. It's the American way! As far as "bashing", people giving a contrary opinion on a post have every right to express their own opinion on the subject. People responding to these contrary opinions by saying, "Go visit another site", "this person must be stupid", etc. are in reality the ones who are bashing. If anything must stop, it is the negative responses to these contrary opinions. Without these contrary opinions, you will only have posts stating, "Thanks for your post", "Thanks for all you do", etc. The only thing these types of posts do is clutter up the blog and builds the individual's "number of posts" logs; thinking that they are the "real supporters" of this site. These types of posts add no relevant information to the topic or any additional understanding to our investment. Sure they're nice, but that's it. So lets keep the good and the contrary opinions coming so hopefully we will learn more about our investment and soon arrive to our final destination ----- the RV!

Shouldn't this be in the LOP section? This may be educational for someone who perhaps is new to this investment and needs a lesson in "Fiery Phoniex's" LOP prophecies; which in reality are nothing more than a waste of time and always were.

Eddinar stated the Federal Reserve is funding the money to pay you because they will get their money from Iraq, ultimately. It is that simple. Whether you go to Chase, Well Fargo, Citibank, etc. ---- it doesn't matter. They will all be submitting the dinars back to the Fed. Reserve. The govts have worked this deal out with the IMF, UN and Iraq so Iraq will be able to handle the redenomination of their currency; and the rest of the global currencies can start the new exchange rate process that the IMF and the G10 has talked about for the last six months. The Rothschild bank ownership message is just a theory at this point and has never been made public. But it doesn't matter anyway for this investment to conclude. So don't get caught up in all the niche finance details. It is more complex than anyone has stated on this blog and to us small investors it's irrelevant. Let's move on to greener pastures.

That's great Carlablum, but we can not be sure about any of this. I heard that the latest info is that they are meeting tonight in order to finalize and announce either tomorrow or Tuesday. So who is correct? Only time will time tell, certainly not one of us.

I saw an article where the Speaker of Age suggested that the MPs meet on Nov. 28th. If this is true, it is very sad indeed! It is time to negotiate a solution to this issue than to continue to postpone. It appears now that the leaders in question, namely Maliki and Allawi, will not change their positions. Further delays will change nothing. The Kurds need to make a decision on Iraqiya List candidates or the National List candidates and move on. If they don't like it, then wait until the next election and make your points to be elected!

Everybody else's sources have been wrong, so it only makes sense to assume that the source you quote is IN-CORRECT also. Based on what we have been seeing over the last 2 months, I would have to throw my towel in with Shabibi who states this year!

As one US veteran (from a tour of duty in Iraq) stated on this site some time ago, the only thing the Iraqi politicans (and the people for that matter) UNDERSTAND is a gun barrel up their A%#@$ ! ! Besides that, everything else is a joke! How do you think Maliki gets anything done (if he wants it done)? I personally thought the veteran was a little harsh in his judgement, but after watching this for about a year now, it finally sunk in my head that perhaps this guy was CORRECT! ! ! !

Zantac, I have a lot of respect for you and what you have done (and still do), but on this article it just doesn't seem to add up to the majority of other articles on banking and finance. There are also geo-political factors involved in a country's exchange rate. You just can't take money supply and start multiplying and dividing and come out to an actual exchange rate. This exercise and the numbers presented (although well done from a math perspective) really doesn't have much importance to the value of our investment and how it will be determined. These particular numbers have never (ever) shown up anywhere over the last 2 years in terms of exchange rates. Time to just wait for this fiasco to be over; then we'll know for sure.

This strictly a western journalist's opinion of what is going on with the Iraqi political process. There is no mention of Allawi's current efforts in getting the govt formed. It now appears that Allawi's block is making progress with each day. If any of the Sunnis or Kurds heard this broadcast, I would think they would join Allawi's team asap so they have more govt participation. This broadcast leans to the idea that the Shiite majority will follow Iran's lead. I am sure this would not sit well with the non-Shiite sects. Even after listening to this, I still believe that the 3 month prediction by Maliki in forming the govt is overblown, especially since Allawi's block is now making headway in the forming of the govt.. I don't understand why people take media information as gospel and make comments like "time to put your dinars away til next year". This process has far more factors that play a role than what they just discussed.

This is more garbage messaging like most rumors. No details and supporting documents or details. Just pure RUMOR! The Euro has NOTHING to do with the IQD!!!!! That is from my SOURCE that is high in the financial world! I cannot give any more details because he/she could loose their JOB! Sound familiar? Scooter has commented that the IMF (UN) is calling the shots on the RV, so in reality what does Iraq (temp GOI) have to do with this? There are articles all over the US in newspapers today stating that the Asian & other currencies are "out-of-wack" and that changes need to be made in the exchange rates. Some countries have tremendous currency advantages over others and that some countries are doing "things" on their own to devalue or revalue their currencies to get a more favorable position in global markets. It appears that the IMF is losing their grip over their responsibilities and that they need to make immediate changes order to get the currencies back in line with the dollar. Because of the current currency issues, it is extremely possible for the IMF to make the Iraqi change at any time now. What's the need in "pre-education" of the populace if nothing has changed? Whether Iraq makes any sense or not; according to Scooter it is not their call. "
