  1. Nothing this time about bringing the dinar back it's former glory?
  2. Good for the middle east and Iraq but bad for our pockets. I've already seen the gas prices creep up. Now here in the city it's hovering around $2.87. It was around $2.45. Wouldn't be a problem if Iraq would RV their currency already.
  3. Why don't they just confiscate Maliki's bank account(s) and pay the Kurds already. They probably could pay the Kurds for a few years with that.
  4. I'm kicking myself right now I didn't delve into it when bitcoin was fractions of a penny. Ugh. However, knowing my luck, I'd have been on one of the exchanges that got hacked and lost it all or a good portion of it.
  5. Not meaning to nitpick but the title made it sound like Jabouri already went. Then when reading see that word again.... will visit Washington soon...... soon
  6. Loans, Debts, Bonds, Taxes, Revenue but nothing about bringing glory back to the Dinar. How sad. Here comes another 7 year wait to 2025. Maybe by then when we are blown to bits or just passed on and our Dinar have been sold off by remaining family members for a few thousand dollars then they'll hit the button.
  7. I wouldn't mind being rich myself but when I see things like this it makes me want to vomit that I want to be part of them
  8. I have a feeling this is nothing more than sending a message to Baghdad. Get your crap together. Get the HCL done and RV the dang dinar. We (the kurds) are tired of trading in American dollars when we could be using our own currency, the dinar, that would value much higher than the dollar and have greater purchasing/debt reduction power.
  9. They'll need to RV before they go international if I'm not mistaken. Since it looks like they'll sit and talk with everyone on October 16th about joining the international banking cartel, we'll have to wait until then for any outcome and get a rough estimate on any upcoming RV. Looks like August and September might be out of the question for an RV. Unless, they want to RV long before any international connectivity.
  10. Yeah, I didn't go blind watching the Eclipse and no Gods wreaked havoc on the Earth. Well the last part is a minus. I was really hoping that would happen.
  11. They just specify cash. I'm going to hazard a guess and say dollars since it would take an entire second home to store all their dinars. If I'm not mistaken, I think they've been pulling in the Dinar. Which would make sense if they plan to just do an RV rather than an RD then RV. Hard sometimes with these articles to decipher which currency they are referring to sometimes because they use dinar and dollars interchangeably. Not sure if it's a translation issue.
  12. This is the reason for opening up your currency to the international market with and RV ----- Would make for a much a better headline. What did the Japanese Ambassador basically say? Oh yea, "WTF are you guys doing? We did this crap in 7 years (nuclear bomb radiation and all) and here you are 15 years later still where you were back in 2003. Get your poop together Iraq!"
  13. If he got in early say Jan 04 the rate according to the CBI was 1,467. If he sold off now at the current exchange rate, he would gross almost 10 million profit (not including any taxes and echange fees). Hell that's not bad and I'd take it. Though I'd wait to see what Trump has up his sleeve with his tax plan and capital gains.
  14. If anyone is curious, that is the A train in NYC and that's Bill de Blasio in the Rat costume.
  15. Oh they know the ballpark figure. This is why they keep stating things like "bring the dinar to its former glory". All one has to do is look at it historically. Here's a quick brief history. 1931-1949: $4.86 (Dinar Introduced and unpegged from the British pound to the American Dollar) 1949-1971: $2.86 (Devalued in 1949) 1973-1982: $3.39 (Due to the inflation of the U.S. Dollar) 1982-1991: $3.22 (due to the war with Iran in 1982 and remained that level until the first Gulf war) 1991: First Gulf War it's been on a downward spiral reaching $3,000 dinar equal to $1 U.S. dollar in 1995 due to sanctions and aggressive publishing of new notes into circulation.
  16. Don't worry I'll be cheering like a bunch of who've just landed the biggest booty of their careers.
  17. I'm really torn on this and I've been in this since the beginning but 1/2 of me hopes there will be no RV before Trump gets his tax reform done and the other 1/2 wants to see resolution to this RV. As always thanks for all the great reporting.
  18. Wasn't there an article a month ago or so where Abadi made a statement that at the end of June he was going to give a big speech? I would hazard a guess either July or the end of the year.
  19. The nature of the beast with investing and speculating. Some have quick payoffs and others take time. I got into this Dinar thing at the beginning long before guru's and such. I knew this was going to be for the long haul at least 10-20 years. The problem with late comers like yourself most fell for overnight sensation sales pitch by dinar pushers. For myself, I didn't fall for such nonsense, since these dinar pushers weren't around, and thought of it as a unique opportunity a one of those once in a lifetime opportunities. Since I got in so early, I've already doubled my initial investment. So, I would dispute your claim it is scam. What the real scam was was from the sales pitches from the dinar pushers. I don't know why the complaining though since you invested what you could already afford to lose and you bought it at a time where the dinar has peaked or dropped to what level you bought it at. The people who invested 100k in the dinar probably could afford it as well but I don't know their stories so it would be a guess on my part. Look at it this way, there's no sure investment. Think of all the people who invested in gold when it peaked at $2,000+ per ounce. Look at the price now $1,258.30 per ounce. Or the speculators who invested in OIL when it was $150 a barrel. It's current price is $53 per barrel. Oh and your Bitcoin is not so safe either: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-08-11/bitcoin-hack-upends-world-of-700-yields https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/hong-kong-bitcoin-exchange-mycoin-lost-387-million-customers-money/ I can link a lot more stories of losses about bitcoin but I think you get the idea. Bottom line just keep doing what you're doing. Keep the dinar away and don't worry about it so much. One day you might be surprised.
  20. Even the IMF is getting tired of waiting and "soon". They want their cash in as well like the rest of us.
  21. Doesn't fit the narrative against Assad. They are going to bury this one.
