Not at this time. I've only invested what I can afford to lose. My budget is very tight at the moment. If I find discretionary income then I'll consider more small denoms.

How long can the CBI utilize the "weak dinar policy"?

Good afternoon everyone At $.10 I would cash in all of my large denoms (25k,10k & 5k) immediately then hold all small denoms for an impressive $3+ against the dollar. However,the prevailing consensus is an initial "RV" or pip is somewhere in the neighborhood of $.86 - $1.13 per dinar against the dollar. If this a possibility my stragety would remain the same :-D

I currently hold about 900k in mostly small denoms. I sold most of my large denoms (25k & 10k notes) & began collecting small denoms as a hedge against the dreaded LOP. Now that the unpopular LOP theory is less likely I'll still hold the small denoms long after a substantial pip & exchange at 3+. Once I achieve 1 million that's my risk tolerance in this investment. Go RV I've been monitoring ebay sales & dinar has spiked as a result of Chapter 7 news! I've seen 25k notes bid at double the normal range! Speculators are getting very excited!

I understand that you would like to see an argument that refutes your idea here. I'm no economist or financial expert so I would be giving you speculation just the same. What your communicating here is a redenomination where speculators worldwide lose billions. While your perspective is interesting & apparently very controversial I dont see it panning out this way. Most of us members have been holding dinars & researching for many years,we have an intuition if you will about the endgame. Since your confidence in this investment is shaken,perhaps you would like to give away your gifted dinar to appease the members you've upset this afternoon

I'm absolutely with you fellers on this. Guns for stable,responsible adults is a no-brainer. Both camps have valid points on this issue so there will be no easy solution. I reside in Illinois which happens to be the only State in the U.S. that does not allow concealed carry. This needs to change! I support concealed carry in Illinois! And no,the gov'ment s not coming for your arms.

This topic brings me back to when it all started. Strangely enough,my story begins with a mail order fraudster trying to sell folks 1000 dinar notes for $20 each?! Along with the order form there was a cover letter that I received in the mail. This letter detailed very many interesting things about Iraq. My interest was piqued and I never looked back. I have spend many an hour looking at this investment. My wife rolls her eyes every time she sees me reading,writing,researching,breathing this investment. I don't blame her for the heathy dose of skepticism. While she keeps me grounded,I still dream. Aside from the potential financial gains,if any,from this investment,I've learned so much in terms of Iraqi history,world currency,politics & many other insights. I own just under a million dinar. I'm in this for the long haul. I've nursed this dinar for so long i wouldn't dream of letting it go. Every few months I unearth my lock box. To study my crisp bills,to smell them,to honor their promise... ok.. I'm losing it here You n' I are in this together. Thanks for reading. P.S. Firstly, I'd like to thank Mr. Montana and staff for maintaining this site with the generous contributions of her VIP members. My two cents is just that,an opinion to which I could be wrong and would humbly accept your correction or any other insights. Is the dinar going to rise in value? Absolutely. Are we going to be blessed with a substantial RV on a major pip? This remains to be seen. One possible scenario is this. The dinar will be introduced onto the FOREX markets at the current rate of 1170:1 and will float here gaining ever so slowly as the "perception" of the country improves in terms of stable government,employment,security concerns,the exports of her many resources,current money supply and many other factors. Its very likely Iraq as a growing,booming economy will only rise in value! As this evolution is underway I'd like to be in front of this incredible growth! This is why I'm electing to open Warka & ISX accounts so this way I may diversify and gain on several fronts. Risky? Yes,however,nothing ventured,nothing gained. Thank you for reading. I've had similar dreams relating to the dinar. During this dream I finally received the text & email that we've all so patiently waited for. I fetch my portable safe(don't forget the key;)) & make my way to what looks to be a bank in the city. I cash out some lower denoms and deposit the remainder & remember a feeling of elation! I had a visual of wads of cash overflowing from pockets & woke up before it got real interesting Thank you for reading.
