Thank you Butifldrm for posting this GREAT news. After almost 90 days, since the Election, only 10 possible seat changes out of 329. I'd say, pretty good results considering Iraq's prior history of fraud and corruption. There is no need for the 10 possible losers to appeal the recount. You lost the seat, now go away and pound sand. Hopefully this will instill confidence, for greater voter turn out, in future Iraqi elections. Hopefully this will illustrate that the new Iraqi government is legitimate. Make the official announcement of the results and lets move on to the HCL. Thanks Chuck, this has been my perspective since about May 13 . I am thinking ; this long and protracted recount procedure will result in the Iraqi citizens now having faith in the voting process. Hopefully the next election will result in greater than 44% voter participation. The manual count, thus far, appears to equal the electronic count thus no disputing the results. Its time to certify the election results. Its time go to an open / international economy. Its time for the CBI to announce the "REAL" rate / value of the currency. I have a two part question regarding this recount process. ( I realize this is the news forum ) We are (STILL) waiting on the recount process of a total of 6 / 8 provinces. Some completed, some remain in the process of manual recounting. It appears that the completed / released results of the manual recount, indicate that the original results of the voting machines are accurate. Here is my question ; How many votes are in dispute / what percent of the total does this represent ? Or how many Parliamentary seats, out of the total are disputed thus being recounted ? I am sensing this is, as the old cliché states - " the tail wagging the dog" thus a "red herring" and or a huge distraction. Thanks in advance, Semper Fi GO RV

IMHO; The solution to this is so obvious ; Give these people a share of the oil proceeds via the HCL and Art. 140, thus putting money in their pockets. Give these people Jobs and dignity. Give these people consistent electricity to run the AC, the 'frig in the summer, heat their homes in the winter and clean water. Give these people sense of pride of country and acknowledgment.
