  1. 25 years ago I went to purchase a hot tub. I was told it needed to be ordered and would arrive in 2-3 weeks. I put down a $500.00 deposit. After about 2 weeks I called for a status and was told it was on its way. Another week goes by and I call. Now I'm told its on a train and should be here anytime. Another week goes by and I'm starting to get nervous. That old "gut feeling" thing. So I call - no answer. I drive to the store - its closed. Turns out they had been going under for awhile but were still taking deposits and never ordering the hot tubs. My point is, if this investment went South, it wouldn't be the first time I lost money. As it is, I think at worst it will end up being a break even thing. Long term probably make a buck or two. And, if all goes nicely, could have a tidy profit that has a higher return than my 401k does. I'm keeping the faith and for the amount of $ I have invested it isn't like I could bail on the Dinar and use it and make a bunch of money elsewhere.
  2. Okay, so I haven't posted for awhile. The reason being, I'm bound like a porn star in a NDA to keep my Snowden NSA info secret. Okie told me that Blaino and TerryK have confirmed with Tony that our ship is sinking. That's code for your ship is about to land on your 747. They told me to "Stay Tuned" but I'm out of the drugs that they take so I'm still sober and not "'Tuned". Never mind, carry on my wayward son, there'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest. Don't you cry no more. Uh, treat this as a rumor.
  3. HAHAHAHAHA! Post of the day! Thanks Carrello! You nailed it! Love it!
  4. Agreed. But it does say the budget is in Trillions. Consequently 1160 is the rate, not 1.16. Either the Trillions is incorrect, or the 1.16 is incorrect. The math doesn't work otherwise. But what do I know? I'm invested in something that is hinging on a bunch a crazy people who can't agree on anything apparently. lol
  5. I agree Zig. It is entirely possible that they could be "revising and amending" their remarks, as it were, and the 1.16 rate would therefore be changed to Billions instead of Trillions as Catluver mentioned.
  6. I think we need to put this in perspective. The 2013 budget for the United States was around $3.8 Trillion in US Dollar amounts. If Iraq was figuring their budget at 157 Trillion Dinar, and then saying that equates to 1.16 as an exchange rate, if I'm doing the math correctly it still puts their budget at over that of the United States and that just doesn't make sense. The numbers don't add up imo. Either the budget needs to be addressed in amounts that reflect a change to 1.16 as the article states, or the decimals are wrong. At 1160 dinar to the dollar, the budget of 157 trillion makes sense. I don't see any RV in this article. jmo as always
  7. President Reagan had nothing to do with the U.S. removal of tying the USD to gold. It was President Nixon in 1971 who did this. Currently there are no countries "tied" to the gold standard for the value of their currencies or the amount of currency they print.
  8. I'm so tired of MntGoat plagiarizing Okie. What is the world coming to??? Have these Gurus no shame??
  9. This is a little off topic from the article, but in regards to it not mentioning an RV, I doubt we will ever see an article about an RV before it ever happens. jmo.
  10. Thanks for the post Securityguy. Looking forward to reading more like this from folks!
  11. Agreed Zig. One thing folks have to remember about this company is they are talking about terrorists, not all Muslims.
  12. I purchased some ammo and T-Shirts from them earlier this week as gag gifts when I first saw this. Go to their website, the T-Shirts I bought actually say "Do 72 Virgins A Favor - Use JiHawg Ammo" or something like that. lol
  13. I don't mean to be cynical here, because I agree with you. That being said, I searched all day on MSM for anything about this. It was incredible what is posted in "World News" on the U.S. MSM. Apparently, CNN thinks "S. Africa's Born Free Generation", Snowden, and "Special Delivery For Baby Noor" are what is important. MSN feels the top world stories are "Animal Rights Activists Get Branded With Branding Iron", a plane was found off of Venezuela that belonged to a missing Italian designer, and there will be no McDonalds on the West Bank. I could go on and on because every news site has similar stuff. My point being, most folks only care about sound bites and feature articles because the MSM has programmed this way. Sorry for the rant on such a momentous day but MSM news sources are not to be trusted for the most part imo.
  14. Personally, I'm going to a local bank and saying "I'd like to exchange this to USD". Not so sure there is much more to it than that unless you're trying to shelter profits somehow. Me? I'm exchanging, paying my taxes, & taking the money & run faster than a Steve Miller song. I'm not so sure it needs to be over complicated.
  15. Good Lord. I just went to the site that shall remain nameless that posts all the "Gurus" jabbering for some grins. How these folks get from Point A to Point B is incredible. Then, a bunch of folks praise them at the end of the post like a bunch of sheeple. I'm embarrassed for mankind and thought processes in general. Time for me to go take a shower and disc clean my computer after being there.
  16. This will go on forever in this part of the world. It is sad, but a reality. The best we can hope for is that the common citizens, much like all of us, get some security and we get some greed satisfied and a return on our investments. I know the word "greed" might sound harsh, but to be honest, greed is what got me into this investment to assist with financial security.
  17. I made a purchase from this company today. They are real. Great gag gifts for those on your lists that wouldn't be offended.
  18. An "Arab Spring" in Iraq would not be good news for us as investors in the Dinar imo.
  19. When I first got into this roller coaster ride, via my wife and a friend of hers, I read the "Guru" stuff. This was a few years ago. It took me about a week before I realized that as ignorant as I was about the Dinar I needed different sources. I therefore started doing my own research. I'm still in much darkness as to my education, but I did become enlightened to not put much stock in the "Gurus". As many, I at first thought these folks had sources that were "in the know". The best thing that ever happened to me was discovering this site. Lots of different opinions, lots of articles, and a person can draw their own conclusions from the information provided. I still like to read the "rumors" and "Gurus" only because as in everything, there may be something to be learned. Like, Okie is almost done with his remodel after the tornado, pumpers continue to pump, Gurus play on fears and insecurities, and if you want to be a successful Guru, invoke the name of the Lord. If all else fails, just make up some convoluted stuff and use big words.
  20. I like the trend. However, I'm kind of ignorant on how to interpret this. So, the CBI says the rate is 1166? On the street is it 1183? Are they dropping the "street" rate 30 so it is now 1153? Supergirl, your friend says its actually 1000.24 - 1? I'm very confused. But then again, it doesn't take much for me to get confused. Thanks for the article and the find Supergirl! Like I've said before, any downward trend is good by me!!!
  21. Sounds to me that regardless, if this is true, it's heading in the right direction!!
  22. Very sad news. I'm so sorry for his friends and loved ones. R.I.P SWFG. Your life was way too short, but you were a class guy here and will be missed.
  23. Exactly! Although, when the average Iraqi only makes $4k a year, I suppose 2 year's wages sounds like a lot proportionately. Plus, depending on the denoms stolen, it would be tough to hide much more that that without a small U-Haul.
  24. "It is not right for Iraq's permanent membership of the World Trade Organization is not yet complete legislation supporting the local economy." Sounds to me like they're telling them to get Erbil done. jmo.
  25. It's Thursday!!! Where's my money??? lol. Sorry, I hope someday somebody is right. In the meantime, I'll just be thankful for what I have, and not worry about what I don't.
