Well yeah, at the time he was referring to the communists, but one cannot deny the uncanny similarities between what he said over 50 years ago to what is happening today. And, no....he is not the devil. He was a brilliant newscaster with a very golden voice. After watching the post by TG, I started thinking about Paul Harvey and where I had heard that voice before.

That is quite disturbing. I am assuming that Mr. Harvey gave that "dissertation" quite some time ago. Very scary to think that pretty much all of what he said has come true, or is happening as you read this. Tim, very well said. The only problem with your statement is that you fall into "our group", that has grey matter between their ears and know how to use it properly to wade through the shite and garbage that he spews. We can think for ourselves, and do our own research on the IQD or whatever fallacy he has come up with for the moment. The sad part, is that there are people out there that cannot do that, they cannot differentiate the BS from the truth, need someone to "guide" them or hold their hand. Sorry to say, for some that person is Okie. Sadly, they are duped day in and day out with his ramblings, and lies. However, they have made their choice to believe him and they are the ones, as I see it, that will suffer from "lottery syndrome" and lose everything because they are just that stupid. Mack, I agree with you, however I also disagree. The RV isn't just about Iraq, one would like to think that, but it is not. Their standard of living bad? No, don't think so. It is their leaders that are bad. Fighting excessively over who controls what, and who gets what, and how much my tribe gets, etc etc. The problem with the RV, as I see it, and I am sure that some of you will agree with me here, is not our government holding it up, some monumental computer glitch with the wiz bang algorithm being out of whack, but plain and simple, they CANNOT agree on shite. They may have paved streets, and discos, and electricity for a few hours of the day, but that means crap when your leaders cant agree on the betterment of their people. Yes, their people. Not us, not Kuwait, or Iran, or Afghanistan. Their own countrymen. An RV would benefit them in so many ways, and they of all people should know that. So what is the hold up? Backwards ass thinking, and the non-ability to agree to disagree on issues. RV for them means a currency that IS recognized worldwide, and gives them the power to become quite possibly one of the richest nations that ever was. Dilemma, some people fear that because is Iraq. Someone says Iraq, what do you think of almost instantly? Saddam Hussein and the tyranny that you spoke of in your post. Is an RV the be all end all band aid that Iraq needs? I say its a start. Foreign companies investing in Iraq is another step. People understanding that Iraq of today is nothing like when Saddam was in power. There is still some house cleaning to do, removal of Saddam loyalists etc, but for the most part, Iraq is in much better shape than 10 years ago. Yes, they (Iraq), needs some time to figure things out for themselves. Eventually they will realize the err of their ways and understand that maybe there is more than one way to skin a cat. (Get SHITE done!) RV of the IQD means a better life for Iraqis, BUT, it also means a better life for those that are invested in it as well. Our government is most likely fully aware of how many of us are invested, and probably have a good idea of what all of us are holding. That means money for us, money for them (taxes), and, money for Iraq. Win win no matter how you look at it. So, what is the hold up? Your guess is as good as mine. I say more political bullshite, the same as what we deal with here in the US. Same shite, different country. We are different, but yet we are not.

My advice, if you are going to buy foreign currency, whether it be IQD or something else, go to your closest INT'L Airport and use Travelex or whichever foreign currency exchange/dealer is there. ALWAYS 100% legit, and never have to worry about crap like that. I bought every penny of my VND from them, and about half my IQD from them. 100% satisfied! PS, they dont know squat about rates and dates......never will, until it happens......same as us.

A "tell" and a "bluff" are two separate things. A "tell" lets another player know that the other player is "bluffing" however. I take your "intel" as a "tell" though......it says quite a lot. No bluff, no BS.

When I responded to the post that is directly before mine, I was the first to reply to it, as it was in a thread of its own. I guess the mods moved it to this one. I was just simply stating that the original poster had "posted" something that had already been stated in a different thread. As for Okie, I never "respond" to what he posts, as I know as well as anyone that has been on this site for a few months or longer, that his drivel is just that.
