Well, it's 1545 on the 10th of January right now in the United Arab Emirates and I have not seen the RV happen. What a bunch of bovine species, one more time. Will it ever stop? No exchange service here will even touch the IQD.

I am in Dubai currently and the place is absolutely amazing. Although the worldwide downturn in the economy in 2008 did in fact affect them, they are in a robust recovery now. The only bad thing about the UAE is the months of June, July, August and September. Housing is quite affordable and the pay for ex-pats is very good depending, obviously, on what one does for a living. I actually posted a statement on what Iraq could become if they ever stopped the BS.

If everything holds true to past form, they will use this as another reason for delay and the process of stabilizing the government and the economy will be, once again, placed on the back burner. I deal with those of the Arabic culture every day and it absolutely amazes me that there is any progress at all. Everything, and I mean everything, is based solely upon the will of Allah. Every task that is assigned with a completion date attached will be discounted to Allah's will. If something does not get completed or started for that matter, Allah chose not to bless the event and did not allow it to happen.

What continues to baffle me is that if the Iraqi Govt would just stop for a moment to look at the other Gulf nations and see how robust their respective economies are because of their respective oil and gas laws, that they could become one of the richest of the GCC. I am currently living in Dubai and it is abundantly apparent that they represent what Baghdad could become, if only they would stop the perpetual procrastination, power tug-o-wars, hidden agendas and constant bickering. The UAE has only been a sovereign nation for 41 years and one should see the growth and ALL is directly due to oil.

It's a perpetual game of "smoke and mirrors." They are the experts in this game of propaganda turnarounds. Tell one thing on Monday and then completely change the direction on Tuesday. I'm telling you, when I trained Islamic pilots in the early 80s, I was told in no uncertain terms that they are taught to deceive and redirect from the truth as a culture from the the time they are taught to speak and think.
