Thanks for the updates possum! I'm glad we have someone keeping track of this investment and you've been as constant as the northern star in guiding our way. I'm going to make a suggestion to DV'ers(for those who want to contribute) that we take up a collection for a post-RV possum present. Just an offering, maybe some 'fun money' for possum to buy a new still and momma to have a new dress. Comments? Any dollar amounts and thoughts are welcome.

Yes, exactly...I don't want to venture into uncharted waters and for someone to 'label' me, but yes, you have a point. Jackson went to A&T University in the same city where I once lived (I'll never go back there), and then to 'theological seminary'. what a joke. Anyway, over the years he learned how to play the game, proclaim a cause and fleece the system for money and ego (just like any activist/politician).

Doesn't surprise me. This might rub people the wrong way, but---I'm glad I moved away from the Southeast (yes, this type of thing can happen anywhere, but I remember crap like this being fairly common). I do recall being 'politically correct' and very careful with the 'criminal element' (?) was necessary, otherwise certain Political groups and liberal lawyers would tear people apart over unfair treatment (of perpetrators), hence the bus driver's reaction. Some time ago (back east), I worked with lawyers and state law enforcement a few times (a dark past that I'm not going to get into). I still have friends in that business, and it's ridiculous how afraid they are of situations like this and how weak the system has become. Cops don't want a lawsuit or to lose jobs. The bus driver doesn't want to lose his job. The city and school district DEFINITELY doesn't want any lawsuit and parents soon realize it's a no-win. Discipline is gone. Result: The thugs will get a slap on the wrist, see a counselor a few times for anger management, and the beat up kid will have to 'deal with it'. That's about it. *On a POSITIVE note* the 1st think I noticed here in the Northwest is that (for the most part, maybe I'm wrong, I dunno), people seem to get along OK and there doesn't seem to be much incident of this. I just don't find many articles or news briefs of 'hate crime' and someone getting 'bumrushed' to pieces. Go figure. Now watch one of you pull up a news report and prove me wrong, I don't care. Anyway, I don't know the solution folks, maybe you have ideas....a free ice cream at Dairy Queen on a hot day for kids and grown-up's alike? Maybe we can allocate a city fund for that endeavor to keep the peace. That's AWESOME! +1 for that and a big pat on the shoulder to your daughter! It's good to know there are a few brave souls out there making a difference!

The Chinese are hoarding gold for the circuitry in their Ufo fleet. Gold is a very good conductor for electronics.

For American citizens, who else. The American economy is screwed and a larger and larger % of people are losing jobs, homes, everything, due to hard times. This coupled with the fact that people are waking up to news reports of organized racketeering that has been bankrupting entire cities, states, and countries for years now....why wouldn't they be worried.

Could just be preparation for a national disaster or an environmental purpose, like planting seedlings for trees, we've all seen reports of huge wildfires in California and other areas that have laid waste to the landscape.

This stuff might be easier to believe if the guy didn't write like a drunk. Why do these "guru's" always have writing skills of 10 year olds and the logic of lunatics? Iraq supporting 700 TRILLION dinar at a 1:1 exchange 'right out the gate'?? What are we talking about here, dollars or peso's? Why do people listen to these fools, it's pure fantasy. http://youtu.be/1x_QbVDlLbI ...it's only $50k. -
I would like to share this with anyone who wants

Thanks for bringing this over pricestar8. This was a pleasant narrative and caused mixed feelings. On the one hand, it gave me a nice glimpse into a simpler time where food was more basic, families connected...true Americana. This makes me happy. On the other hand, I feel a profound sense of loss and sadness comparing it to this fast food, microwave, technologically driven, jet set society we find ourselves in, knowing those bygone days and solid foundations are gone forever.
