Someone asked the question about this last week. Forex had added 4 zeros and CBI added 3 after the decimal. It has been like this for a little while now, not sure how long but maybe someone will be able to find the older posts about this. I'll see if I can find it. I do agree though that you wouldn't think that this is something either would just do for no reason. I hope it leads to something good.

Exactly, besides, I learned a little something on here recently. We tend to forget that not everyone on this site is as comfortable communicating in English. I have met some people on here that for them English is a second language so if they misuse to, too and two big deal. We all understand the message they are trying to convey. I for one have been a little irritated in the past by spelling on forums (never so much to make someone feel bad for their errors) but I've learned that it's the message that's important so Kudos to everyone that contributes in a positive manner.

Very good info, it may just be me but Iraq looks like it's a little out of place in the current groupings. I think they need to get on it and fix this so they can be where they belong with the big boys in the higher rate group.

Thank you Exogen I have been feeling the same way about alot of this. Nice to know I'm not the only one. Having them paying the contractors in worthless money was the thing that has had me very confused, not sure if it's rumor or not about them starting to pay contractors 3/1 in Dinar, maybe someone else knows if it's fact or not but it wouldn't make sense at the current rate.

I didn't know if there is some place (papers or news media or anything) that they are required to announce what they (their government) are doing/progress being made or is it possible much more is done and they're not letting the info get out to the press. They have always seemed to be very elusive with their information over there. Just a thought, maybe someone out there has the answer to this. Thanks in advance for any info.

No problem but I may confuse more because I'm just learning this myself. The "CHANGE" is the amount of fluctuation in the money. For the IQD, this isn't something we should really be looking at right now. Now, here's where I can get confusing. What I was told was we as investors want to see the "ASK" amount to be as very low as possible if all the way to the left the currency shows USD/IQD. That would mean that say for example we have 1USD/1IQD, this would be GREAT to see. Hope I helped a little. If not I'm sure someone much smarter will pipe up shortly. I would be more than happy with .31, that would be so amazing!

That's only the change, nothing different in the "BID" or "ASK" column.

I always figured that their day of worship was on Friday since there had been government work being done on Saturdays recently. I may be way off but I didn't think ANYONE would work on their day of worship. Hard telling really, maybe one of our fine men and women over there will read the post and confirm what days they are absolutely not to work.

That 13.7500 is in the "Change" column if I'm seeing this correctly. This is the fluctuation and could be caused (usually is) by the USD. What you want to see is the "ASK" column if I'm remembering right to be changed significantly lower than the usual 1170. Anyone out there correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to remember what I've been reading and I sometimes get the "BID" "ASK" numbers mixed up. I should clarify I'm looking at USD/IQD it would look different too if it was listed as IQD/USD. So Confusing!

25K note is the largest I see on CBI there is a 5k, is that possibly what he's talking about? If not I wouldn't buy it, that's for sure.

This is actually what the bank employees are suppose to be telling people when asked about the Dinar. All of these employees, be it a teller or manager making rude comments or giving their "opinion" would really be in a bit of hot water if Corp. found out who they were. I have a friend that's a BofA exec and when she was told about these things their employees were supposedly saying she was pi$@d to say the least. This could potentially cost their banks if employees keep people from coming back to them after the RV. Glad to hear your branch wasn't that way Unfortunately, some people are fountains of ignorant comments, they just can't stop spewing! GO RV!!!

Me too, Why not? Besides with all the horrible and dumb things humans do to themselves and one another I could only pray that we're not the most intelligent beings out there.

I would absolutely love to be able to purchase from a bank, unfortunately I called ever bank in our valley and the nicest thing that came of it was being just told NO. If anyone knows of a bank in Central Washington (state) that sells I'd be elated to hear from you.
