  1. Nice! Hopefully this is a solid indicator of an impending RV being VERY VERY CLOSE! Go RV!
  2. Thanks Keepm. I've seen it in some other posts over the past couple weeks, and via some chat logs that some had emailed me as well. As I said, I don't think any of us REALLY know who or totally what we are waiting on, to make the RV happen. Yeah, I believe that what I had read in a few places was people claiming that Blair was the one who'd have to give the "blessing" on behalf of the IMF for the RV rate. IMO, that is clearly not the case, especially considering I can't find how he is truly even related or with the heirarchy of that organization.
  3. I have heard so many different speculations on who is actually able to call for the RV to actually take place, be announced, commence.....however you want to look at it. Clearly understanding that none of us really know that, or if we do, the "smoke & mirrors" coming out of Iraq makes us question that information, I am really looking to dispel certain "intel" that I keep hearing. Tony Blair, becomes the primary focus that I'm trying to understand his role or abilities, as most recently it keeps being said he will make the announcement, or give the OK to RV. I have repeatedly heard many say he is in control of the IMF, and so far, I can't find one single thing to support or validate that. Matter of fact, I can find contrary information to that, and the websites for IMF & WTO clearly list who is "in charge" there, and it surely isn't Tony Blair. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Blair After his PM days, according to Wiki, it surely doesn't associate him to WTO or IMF. Does anyone have any knowledge they can add to this, that supports or totally negates him being a potential "trigger man" for the RV? Head of WTO: Pascal Lamy http://www.wto.org/english/thewto_e/thewto_e.htm Head of IMF: Dominique Strauss-Kahn (managing director of IMF) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominique_Strauss-Kahn
  4. My experience here in Michigan has been varied, from branch to branch in the same town, as well as different between branches 30 miles apart. There seems to be no real rules or consistency amongst branches, and in the first 5/3 I went to, the manager tried heavily to sway/persuade me not to buy it, and touted it as a "scam"...to which I told her she could save her "opinion", and either they would sell it to a customer, or not. I have in past had a branch tell me they won't sell it, or don't sell it...and gone literally within 5 miles across town to a different branch moments later and been able to buy it. My guess would be just try a different branch.
  5. So far I think most would agree...that site is not "stable" or "dependable". I'm not sure what the background coding is, but using 2 different PC's, to same site with same figures, yields 2 different numbers.
  6. I totally agree! Great read and lots of good information in TJ's posts...that add "food for thought" on the potential. Equally as impressive, the class shown by you Mr. Rich to post the apology as did...whereas you could have just let it rage on into the drama that too often ensues on forums. +1 to both! Go RV....for us, and the Iraqi people!
  7. Funny that I see others seem to agree with the point I made so clearly at the start...but this j@ck@$$ managed to muster support of others, and all of a sudden I have bunch of negative (-) against my reputation for him being an idiot and wasting more of all our time. Humor, sure, I get that on occasion it is surely needed here...but not on a day of supposedly being marked with such potential/importance. I guess I'll join the many others out there who will no longer contribute or post at DV, due to being bashed or given negatives, for some to support such a loser. Go RV...and for idiots like Scott...."go away"! He's only been here 2 wks, almost no posts...and when does post/contribute, it was a totally stupid ridiculous post.
  8. "admittedly showing that you rely on the BS that goes on in the rumor sections" ? Simply stated that title is about same behavior as pumpers...and all it really was is a time wasting post for those coming here looking for useful information. I'd say the rest of your post tells plenty about yourself, bash me all you want, your opinion matters zero to me.
  9. Honestly it is bad enough how much time we all have to spend reading total BS on here, with never finding any intel to really be substansiated. Then, to read a totally bogus post like this, where the heading is clearly deceiving, makes it about as joyful as the feeling pumpers leave us with. I understand needing some humor on this frustrating ride, but there comes a point where it is just stupid. And IMO, this one fits that list. Sorry I wasted yet more of my time for such a dumb post.
  10. Nobody really knows when this will RV, or the rate. Sorry, but being a government employee in Michigan (another budget failed scenario)...I surely wouldn't give up even my less than satisfactory salary for a gamble that could hurt my family. IMO, get back to work, and when/if the RV happens, then feel free to quit if it is a positive for all.
  11. Unfortunately, I have to agree. Nothing that makes sense seems to be what Iraq prioritizes doing. Sure comes across the Iraqi government is in no hurry to improve the conditions for their citizens.
  12. This is like the 3rd post of this.....doesn't anyone pay attention to details? 2010 is clearly right next to the rate people. Personally, if it is important enough to post, how about take 30 seconds to examine details so that you don't get a million people in a ruckus.
  13. I got an email earlier on 2/24, which had information that apparently "Frank26" had shared with his group...touting of the CNN information on the Iraqi RV situation, as you described. I scoured high & low, and CNN has absolutely nothing on its' site anywhere about this. I read every article that the search engine on CNN site would produce that even had "Iraq" in it anywhere. So...if there is any truth to that from CNN...someone please provide a link? I truly don't think it exists. Hopeful for the RV very soon.....and so tired of the many pumpers out there, or the supposed "intel" that always leads to more disappointment for so many.
  14. LOL...unfortunately you have such a valid point, and most likely never think about it. "Cutting the budget" to me is always about smoke and mirrors, and costs likely put in the wrong place in order to "save". How about we quit helping every other nation, and take care of our own! How about we quit providing financial assistance to all these other countries, who later on just become our enemies or heavier burdens. How about we actually make it so that those who want to be US citizens even have to speak ENGLISH as a primary, not as an option. Sometimes I think "Americans" forget what being AMERICAN really should encompass. If the government was more worried about just REAL AMERICANS, and the citizens of this country instead of all their frivolous spending abroad, we wouldn't have near as many financial problems. The USD is "tanking" anyways...so we need this RV to have more of our worthless USD so eventually we'll be able to afford that $50 loaf of bread, and $8 gallon of gas. GO RV!!!
  15. Thanks Estephan! That is what I recalled hearing, which is why I keep wondering about all those changing their predictions on amount. If it were to go as low as some have changed to, it'd be about 60 years before it could even think about $3+ LOL
  16. So something that continues to make me wonder...and I'm not sure of who originally said it, or what their knowledge (or correctness of it would be)...but many talk about how when the RV happens, it "won't come out at a rate anywhere near $3+, but will rise later" What I recall is something about the fact the value can not change more than like 2%-4% at a time? I thought there was also some supposed agreement between Kuwait and Iraq, that the value of the 2 currencies could not be more then $0.50 different in value, against or in relation to the USD? Can anyone speak to these issues? Is this just all speculation/opinion of those who really don't know? I also anxiously await the RV, like so many of us. Not only for our financial benefit, but the quality of life for citizens over in Iraq...where it is imperative for their survival. It will happen, when it happens. I am truly convinced, NOBODY really knows when...and those who MIGHT, surely aren't going to be posting it in any forum. Go RV! (soon!!!)
  17. I'd love to believe this too...however, it is not yet 4pm Pacific time if "today" meant Wednesday 2/2/2011...which really then makes it even less credible.
  18. I have friends that work at Chase in Indy, and some have for nearly 20 years...and they know nothing about any of this or the potential RV...according to our talks in the last week. In addition, I have been in to 2 5/3 banks, as well as some family and friends being in others, and none of them seem to even know about this machine...or any knowledge of getting one or the RV. Just my $.02
  19. As long as their cost on the "spread" is far less than what they are currently stating. I think the big thing will be to remember that until many/all banks are exchanging it, the banks have the ability to overcharge us. The amount 5/3 quoted to someone I personally know, when they were there today, was about the same as the tax would be. That kind of rate won't win my business for sure.
  20. Very well put! I have only recently joined this forum/site...and it took all of about 2 hours to realize that if you believe more than about 0.00001% of what you read, the stress from disappointment would likely kill you before any RV happens. I agree, it will be huge and obvious news when it does happen...so until then...
  21. The deal with 5th/3rd in TN sounds like here in Michigan. The Lansing area banks as of yesterday were still selling IQD, even to non-account holders....while banks in say Howell area were requiring to have an account...while a couple FLA 5th/3rd banks that family members went to were no longer selling IQD, and no explanation.
  22. Heck...we'll all need the money from RV just to survive the NO-bama healthcare reform! I really don't think Obama has much of a part, if any, in the RV either. I don't think even the one's we think/thought in Iraq are involved really have control of when the RV occurs. Time will tell.....but hopefully not too much more time.
  23. I can tell you that as of even yesterday when I picked up more Dinar purchased at 5th/3rd in Michigan, they were still selling Dinar. I can also tell you that I know others 30+ miles away from me in Michigan that have different results from the same bank, at a different branch. I can also verify that 5th/3rd is telling and acting upon different things for the same requests/situations, between even Florida & Michigan. What I can safely say as a fact is that the banks in the US are just like in Iraq.....clearly unclear on what is going on, why, or when it will change or be a different way. Sort of like waiting for the wind to change direction.....it will if you wait long enough, you're sure to see it happen. Go RV!!!
  24. I have to agree...it was someone attempting to share information to help or provide a potential positive to others. I guess the jacknob who slammed him never learned the rules I was taught as a kid..... "If you don't have anything nice to say, just STFU!!!"
  25. I ordered and received prior to Christmas a couple of times too...and it was a total of 2 days until in hand from placing order. I have a pending order still, COD, that was scheduled out a full week, as appears became standard there last week. Prices there seem to be steadily rising, as it has now increased 2 times since I placed my last order. I have bought at a local bank branch since, but the wait there is 2 weeks until in hand.
