  1. Congratulations!! Let's hope this party comes to an end before you get to 9050!
  2. As a minister of the gospel of Christ, I have the responsibility of proclaiming the Word of God (Jn 1:i) and the word of God (2Tim 4:1-5) to individuals and groups seeking truth. At other time it is with the intent to silence such individuals because they do lead individuals and whole families away from the faith (Titus 1:10-14). There are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers in the world. Some openly and publicly proclaim their rebellion against sound doctrine and against the deity of Jesus as LORD of lords or that He is not God come in the flesh. When such individuals who believe their error to be true, continue to try and lead people into their unbelief, then I will continue in a kind and loving way to counter their "untruths" with truth. When they stop, so will I. But in this case with the dinar community, I do intend to "stop beating a dead horse." Actually, I thought this thread was going to end the discussion, but it continued. Therefore I also continued with the discussion as well. My part will end with this post. I do have one more thing to state. Faith/belief is based upon facts and evidence, considered and reasoned through, and then a decision is made in regard to the evidence. Faith is NOT WITHOUT evidence. To believe something without evidence is not faith. Be careful what you believe based on just a desire, or story, or emotions without the "evidence" of things not seen. I believe that Jesus is LORD and GOD because of the Scripturally revealed evidence, the evidence of nature, and personal experience. The deity of Christ is not a "myth" or "twisting of Scripture" as Fly has indicated. I am sure, without a doubt, of who He is. His being GOD from eternity is clearly evidenced from Scripture. My belief will never change on that point. The Godhead has given proof by His resurrection (no one has ever been raised like Jesus) from the grave. The Christian's faith is anchored by that fact. It is this FACT AND FAITH that one believes to be a child of God. Without out that FAITH based in FACT one is not a child of God.
  3. Good afternoon, evening, or morning Fly. I would like for you to consider the following information concerning the assumption that Christ or the Word was a created being. When explaining the natural realm’s ability to support life, especially human life, requires extreme levels of complexity and design, then would not the cause of all this complexity and design need require a cause that is even greater than Him? Or, as an atheist put it, “who designed the Designer?” In the case of the Christ or that he was created must be seen in the light of a “beginning of time and space.” In a nutshell, today, physicists across the philosophical spectrum acknowledge that the space-time theorems are unassailable. If the universe contains mass and if general relativity reliably describes the movements of bodies in the universe, the theorems are valid. Those theorems establish that space and time had a beginning at the origin of the universe. They imply that the causal agent of the universe is not subject to space and time—thus, that agent can create space-time dimensions at will. Of course, any entity—such as the universe and everything subject to the laws and dimensions of the universe—that is constrained to a single dimension of time, where time cannot be stopped or reversed, must have a beginning. Ultimately, such entities must be traceable back to a creation event. However, an entity not constrained by time need not have been created. The Bible declares in multiple passages that God, the Word or Christ, created time (e.g., John 1:3; Colossians 1:16–17). No matter how it is stated, you and I both admit that the Word created all things. The Word being the Creator would be outside the “time-space” dimension. Psalm 90 adds that God can arbitrarily compress or expand time as we know it. In the book “Beyond the Cosmos” (3rd edition), the author presents diagrams illustrating that this compression and expansion of time is only possible for beings with access to the equivalent of at least two dimensions of time. Scripture declares that God has no beginning, no ending, and is not created (Psalm 90:2). These declarations could be true only of a Being who created time, rather than one who is subject to time. Christ is before the beginning of time-space and matter, for He was before all things (Colossians 1:17; John 1:1) and is eternal (John 7:24; Isaiah 9:6). God is in a different category than the universe or humans in that He is not subject to the physical laws of the universe or to its space-time dimensionality. For a more thorough answer to this question, I suggest reading Beyond the Cosmos, Third Edition, by Hugh Ross. My conclusion is that Christ, the Word, is not a created being for his existence is “with God” and before the creation of anything. Enjoy. 4. Certainly God will be active among the believers throughout the ages until God returns with shout of the archangel, the last trumpet, and all the spirits of saints who have gone to be with the LORD will return with Him. And the great resurrection day will take place. The "dead" bodies of all those who are dead, both the just and the unjust, will be raised. The saints will rewarded, but not judged for sins, will go into the eternal spiritual world, heaven; and the wicked will go into eternal destruction or punishment. What a great day that will be at the glorious coming of our LORD. Praise His holy name!!
  5. Who is the LORD, the "I AM," YHWH, Jehovah?
  6. Thanks "king Cheese." O.k. no one has said it . . . so I'll not say it. But be careful when you're around the knife.
  7. Thankfully we have received His mercy through Jesus Christ's sacrifice for sin and death. Justice is not served on me, but because of His death justice has been served that I might receive mercy. "But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." "He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior."
  8. i don't think I can get excited any . . . . WELL MAYBE A LITTLE EXCITEMENT !!!
  9. One of the indicators registering the moral health of a nation is how that nation treats the innocent. This nation has a high temperature declaring that we are sick and in need of an antidote. The medication is highly effective. It will cure the illness: faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other medication to heal.
  10. And He came to visit us in this world through Jesus Christ, the LORD (YAHWEH).
  11. Too many stories like this that are "police shot and unarmed black man, teen, etc." while robbing a ........; while running from the cops after an attempted rape.....; while attempting to sell drugs at a local school . . . All of them seem to be geared toward raising the level of division between white and black, and between police and African American. What we don't see a lot are the white thugs committing crimes and the police shooting them for the same reasons as the African American. But you don't see many articles posted, sent out, or emailed because it does not drive a wedge between races. What a world we live in!
  12. I don't know anyone according to the flesh. The color of skin or hair makes know difference to me. We are all of one blood. Once a person becomes a Christian, a child of God, there is no distinction between races . . . or at least there should not be. I pity the poor Christian that makes a distinction. Genetically we all came from one man and woman: Adam and Eve.
  13. He has a longer presentation (9 min.) that pretty good as well. One of the big problems in our country is that of honesty and integrity in business and government. Let's pray it changes.
  14. Mods, can you change the sub-heading for me? It reads 90 min.; it should read 90 sec. My bad.
  15. Powerful message relating to business in the USA. Harvard Professor tells it straight. Clay Christensen on Religious Freedom (His personal views, not HBS)
  16. Murder, no matter how you label it is still murder. Abortion as a means of eliminating a child in the womb is murder. Next it will be the assignation of David's character, the freezing of his account, audits by the IRS, and the labeling him as a terrorist with a background of violent behavior against women, children, and little puppies. I just hope that he has a great support system who will stick by him, and good lawyers who will legally protect him. Go get 'em, David!!
  17. Ahhh mannnnn! No rate or date, again!! thanks! Truly.
  18. Now lets announce all our covert plans, strategy, and movements to the enemy. "Hey, ISIS!!!" "YOU ARE BEING INVADED BY SPECIAL FORCES DRESS LIKE YOU!! THEY SHOULD BE IN >>>>>> BY 0700 HRS. AT >>>>>>BY 1000HRS. THEY WILL BE COMING IN TOYOTA TRUCKS, IN A CONVEY MOVING FAST. MAKE SURE THE 'BOMBERS' ARE OUT IN FORCE. I know that ISIS has good intel., and that this is not telling them something they didn't know already, but why broadcast the advancement? Just me being sarcastic and fed up with military leadership, media, etc. Oh, well. This too will pass.
  19. Looks like the storms in far west Texas. When travelers from the NE and NW would be driving through the city and one of these would roll in . . . wow! They didn't know what was happening! Scary storms, but really not that dangerous. It is nasty, especially in hot weather. The body sweats and the dirt sticks. Can't keep the dust out of the house. House will be nice and clean and in 30 mins. after the storm there will be dust enough to write you name on all the furniture.
  20. Every individual there had a gun of some sort. What if they were disarmed the week, month, year before? Had the government "taken their guns" would they have had the power they needed to defy the government? Maybe, because of the amount of citizens facing down the guns of government. Then again, the government, knowing their were few if any citizens armed, may have taken a more aggressive and lethal stance. Keep your guns boys and girls, you may need them in the future . . . only the troops on the other side may be international recruits from foreign countries. Hide them away in a safe place . . . and be prepared for the enemy at the gate.
  21. LGD, you are correct. There are some things that can be said quickly and you get to the point without dragging out a conversation. Then there are other times when an explanation of some length is necessary. The situations will vary. Also my manner is different when talking to someone who is seeking truth, inquiring the meaning or a text or passage or teaching and someone who is a false teacher trying to deceive people. Jesus handled the first with kindness and compassion; the latter He was harsh and strait forward. When the religious teachers were confronting Him, trying to lead the people astray, He called the "hypocrites," "brood of vipers," "blind guides," "fools," "tombs full of dead mens bones,""sons of hell," "dirty dishes," etc. (Matt 23). So there are times when harsher words are necessary; especially when dealing with false teachers. Hand in there LGD and continue to study and pray.
  22. Ron. Good set of links to "giving an answer" to this "system of belief." Thanks.
