  1. I tried to locate the document but have not been able to. Someone probably has it saved to their computer. It is a US Gov. document containing the plan for release of the new IQD by the General that was in charge of the process. In that document, I believe it states that there were 14 denominations printed but because of the value of the IQD, the only denominations released were the ones from 50 dinar up. The coins were released and then pulled back. Maybe someone can locate the document.

  12. "1st Amendment: Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion and Petition Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. " When you quote data for backup - please use honesty in your quote. "Religion in the United States is characterized by both a wide diversity in religious beliefs and practices, and by a high adherence level. According to recent surveys, 83 percent of Americans claim to belong to a religious denomination, 40 percent claim to attend services nearly every week or more, and 58 percent claim to pray at least weekly.[1] A majority of Americans report that religion plays a "very important" role in their lives, a proportion unusual among developed nations.[2] Many faiths have flourished in the United States, including both later imports spanning the country's multicultural immigrant heritage, as well as those founded within the country; these have led the United States to become one of the most religiously diverse countries in the world.[3] The majority of Americans (60% to 76%) identify themselves as Christians, mostly within Protestant and Catholic denominations, accounting for 51% and 25% of the population respectively.[4] Non-Christian religions (including Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism etc.), collectively make up about 3.9% to 5.5% of the adult population.[4][5][6] Another 15% of the adult population identifies as having no religious belief or no religious affiliation.[4] When asked, about 5.2% said they did not know, or refused to reply.[4] According to the American Religious Identification Survey, religious belief varies considerably across the country: 59% of Americans living in Western states (the "Unchurched Belt") report a belief in God, yet in the South (the "Bible Belt") the figure is as high as 86%.[4][7] However, despite this seemingly high level of religiosity, only 9% of Americans in a 2008 poll said religion was the most important thing in their life, compared with 45% who said family was paramount in their life and 17% who said money and their career was paramount.[8] The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., is the largest Catholic church in the United States. The First Amendment to the country's Constitution prevents the Federal government from making any "law respecting an establishment of religion", and guarantees the free exercise of religion. The Supreme Court has interpreted this as preventing the government from having any authority in religion." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_the_United_States Nothing in the OP said anything about the 10 Commandments being in the US Constitution or in US Law only that a true American would not protest the display of such. Understandable since 83% of the population profess to believe in some form of religion. I sometimes wonder about our young people and why they are so totally anti - America in their attitudes. I understand that you have lived all over the world in many foreign countries and perhaps that is the reason for your views. Regardless of your personal religious or non-religious feelings (I understand you profess to be buddhist), you appear to have lived your life without a true appreciation for our great country. Were it not for the USA and the generosity of its citizens, many countries on our planet would still be living in the dark ages if alive at all. Our country is the first to respond to any and all natural disasters - do you really think we would be that generous if we were devoid of religion and christian principles. Had we not responded to Europe's needs in WWI and WWII, europe would most likely be in total turmoil. When you decide to challenge a post, you might want to remember, that because of our Constitution and the lives that have been lost to maintain our freedom, you are able to do so. We are not a perfect country but we will fight to the bitter end to preserve it and our constitution. The above is just my - who am I that I should have a voice? A great great grandmother with many patriotic heroes in my ancestry and an ordinary American citizen who just used her "Freedom of Speech" to voice her opinion.
